Taylor Interview
iF Magazine has an article and interview with my favorite wolf boy, well my favorite boy lol, Taylor Lautner. He talks about his character Jacob!!

Now that Jacob is vying for the attentions of Bella, it’s also making for a very cool love triangle that has fans in a constant debate.
“Edward and Jacob are complete opposite guys,” says Lautner. “They’re hot and cold – literally. So yeah, I mean it’s just I personally love Bella and Jacob’s relationship, how they begin with best friends and it starts to grow into something more. Both guys are in love with Bella. Both guys are always going to be there for Bella, and they’re protective. I just think it’s what kind of guy you like.”

You play Caius, one of the three powerful vampires who rule the Volturi. But we only get to see you briefly, at the end of New Moon. Is it challenging to infuse your character with all of the back story and motivations that he has when you have limited screen time?
Jamie Campbell-Bower: Well, it wasn’t difficult because there’s so much back story, particularly to the Volturi. We all knew what we were there for, we knew what we were doing. You know, the thing about the Volturi is that they’re introduced in the second film and then come the fourth book, that’s where the meatiness lies. So it’s an introduction, effectively. But I wasn’t disappointed; I knew exactly what I was going to be doing when I got the script. I’m just psyched to be involved in it.

Will Twilight fans be surprised by New Moon?
I don’t know if they’ll be surprised; I’m hoping they’ll walk out of the theater happy. I was a fan of the book and am very pleased with how the movie came out. The Cullen family isn’t featured as prominently [as in the first film]. New Moon is focused more on the werewolf side of this small town. Also, Chris Weitz directed New Moon and his vision is different from [Twilight director] Catherine Hardwicke’s. It’s not the same as Twilight, but it still has its edge.

You stand out among the Wolf Pack because of your scene with Bella – the slap heard ‘round the world, so to speak. Tell me how that scene went down.
Alex Meraz: It was exciting. Even just in the casting of it, I just really liked Paul. What happened with the casting process is, we sent in our information and through that they were going to break it down. I sent it in and started reading New Moon while I was waiting and I really liked Paul because of that scene, and I really like bad boys and he’s kind of the bad boy of the Wolf Pack. I got the chance to audition and I got that role, saw the script and was blown away by it. I knew it was the first transformation you were going to see in the movie, and it’s definitely a scene that stands out. There was pressure to make sure it looked good, but I knew I was in good hands – Chris Weitz is just an amazing director, and Phil Tippett who did the special effects was going to make me look awesome. So it was fun.
Alex is just so fine!!!!

MySpace will host the exclusive live stream of Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon red carpet arrivals at the world premiere on Monday, November 16 at www.myspace.com/newmoonpremiere. The unprecedented online access is the first time moviegoers across the globe can experience the premiere first-hand, as it unfolds. Viewers will also be able to take part by posting comments or questions to The Twilight Saga: New Moon Premiere MySpace page that may then be presented to the celebrities during the broadcast. The red carpet arrivals will stream live from Los Angeles beginning at 6:00 PM PT. Anya Marina, writer and performer of “Satellite Heart” on The Twilight Saga: New Moon Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, will co-host the broadcast.

The live stream is just one component of the highly integrated MySpace campaign with The Twilight Saga: New Moon. MySpace Trailer Park debuted the first trailer, which was the site’s most successful to date with a total of 4.2 million online views within the first 24 hours and 7.8 million within the first seven days. J-14: We know you’re not a big fan of the wig you had to wear for Jacob! Were you excited you got to lose it for part of New Moon?
Taylor Lautner: Absolutely. When I found out I was wearing a wig I was like, “oh cool. I’ve never done this before!” And in the end I was just itching my head the whole time! The worst was in this one Twilight scene when I wore a beanie over top of it and it made it 100 times worse. So I’d try to negotiate with them not to wear beanies anymore.

Q: What were your thoughts while you were filming that scene in Italy, where Edward reveals himself in the sunlight?
Rob: I just came to a realization about that scene. It was one of the closest moments I really felt to people’s emotional attachment to the character because there were so many extras there who were just Twilightfans, who had flown in to be in the town square. Just taking that one step into the light, it’s been the one moment, since the first Comic-Con, where I’ve felt the whole weight of anticipation and responsibility to all the people who are so obsessed with the stories. It was a good moment. It was very nerve-wracking, but I probably felt the most in character that I’ve ever felt, throughout the whole series, at that moment.
