Edward & Bella’s Wedding
Their long-awaited nuptials happen quite early on in the book, much to the delight of fans of the will-they-or-won’t-they couple. It’s a family affair that almost runs smoothly, no thanks to Jacob almost wolfing out when he learns that Bella plans to become a vampire. It’s a testosterone-fueled scene, with the boys once again facing off, much to Bella’s dismay (we bet she’s secretly happy, really — who wouldn’t want Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner fighting over her?!). The wedding, itself, has its moments, with the high point being the vows and Edward removing Bella’s borrowed garter with his teeth. If that doesn’t make it into the movie, Melissa Rosenberg will have a lot to answer for.

Calm down, ladies — we’re almost positive this whole chapter will make it into the movie. It’s the perfect opportunity to feature a topless Robert Pattinson during his impromptu celebratory skinny-dip, and it’s also the first time Edward and Bella have sex. That said, it’s not nice sex — it’s Edward at his headboard-breaking, pillow-biting best, with Bella getting a little bruising during this most monumental of moments (not to mention extremely pregnant), which might not make it into the final cut of a PG-13 movie. We’re just sayin’.

He narrates the second part of the book, and gives us an awesome insight into his mind. He’s a funny guy, that Jacob Black. Unfortunately, The Pack are planning to kill Bella and her freaky fast-growing unborn child, and Jake doesn’t like that AT ALL. He’s still madly in love with her, you see, so he decides to break off from the pack and form his own, with Seth and Leah Clearwater for company. This scene could be the turning point for movie Jacob — it’d gain him some new admirers, and give Taylor Lautner a chance to shine. If it doesn’t make it to the big screen, Taycob fans will probably start writing their hate mail straight away. Are you prepared for that, Summit?

Bella’s baby, Renesmee (yeah, don’t ask), is now so huge, she literally breaks out of Bella’s body, almost taking mommy’s spinal cord with her in the process. Bella’s nearly dead as a doornail before Edward realizes what he has to do to keep her alive — change her into a vampire. Like, now. So he injects his venom straight into her heart, then bites her. Many times. All over her body. It might sound hot, but it really isn’t — it’s all done in despair and with a savagery we haven’t seen from Mr. Cullen before. It’s the only scene that will push the PG-13 boundaries, but it’s one that has to be included. The imagery will be awesome.

Some awesome characters are introduced, most notably Zafrina, Kate, and Garrett. Admittedly, they’re underutilized in the book, but a well-written script could allow them to take center stage and liven things up a bit. Believe us, it’s going to need it.

According to Social Security Online in the US Isabella and Jacob are the top Girl and Boy names of 2009 -
There’s a new queen of baby names. Isabella took the crown from last year’s winner, Emma, to claim the top girl baby name of 2009. Jacob continued his remarkable run by holding onto the top boy name for the 11th year in a row over a new number two for boys, Ethan[Source: SSA.gov.
On the boy’s side, Cullen had the biggest increase, likely attributable to the popular character Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” novels and movies

The LA Times has new pictures of Eclipse vampires Peter Facinelli (aka Carlisle Cullen), Elizabeth Reaser (aka Esme Cullen), and Nikki Reed (aka Rosalie Hale).
They also have exclusive interviews with Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Jackson Ratbhone, Ashley Greene, and Kellan Lutz talking about how their characters differ/change in Eclipse, and give some movie deets -
“The whole family is in a vulnerable position because of the love we have for Bella,” said Elizabeth Reaser, who plays matriarch Esme Cullen. “If she’s not OK, we’re not OK.”Read more after the break!
“This time around, you get to see their true vampire-ness,” said Peter Facinelli, who plays head vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the series based on the bestselling books by Stephenie Meyer.
The guys are going to bring their girlfriends to this one, mark my words,” said Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen. “There’s a lot of fighting, a lot of cool stunts. It’s a little darker. The stuff I’ve seen so far is amazing. Amazing. The music is great. Everything is just really captivating. I’m excited to see it, and I’m excited for the fans to see it. The stunts are so cool. It was a bit weird, like for the main battle scene where the newborns come in. I mean, we’re looking at these cardboard cutouts as we’re acting, as we’re supposed to be head-butting creatures. So to see it live on the screen is so cool. And running on the treadmills to do the chase scene was awesome. We were being pulled by a truck going really fast to make it seem like we were running at vampiric speed. To see it on screen, it looks epic.”
Facinelli: “For me, as Carlisle, it’s an exciting portion of the series. Carlisle is very compassionate and he has a lot of killing to do in this movie. I joke, after he kills the bad guys, he says he’s sorry in his head. And, you know, he’s calm and level-headed. He’s the rock of the family. He usually has a lot of information to draw from because Alice can see into the future and Edward can read minds. In this third movie, he’s not getting that information. Neither one of his sources are working, so he’s kind of flying blind.”
Reaser: “Esme is still a vampire. She still wants to kill people all day long. It was interesting to get in touch with the vampire side of her in ways that haven’t really been explored. Her family is in danger and that brings out the mama bear in her.
Ashley Greene (as Alice Cullen): “Yeah, she’s delicate and prissy at times, but Alice gets a little edgier with each installment. And with these vampires messing with her family and the people she loves, you’re going to see a bit of her toughness. It’s a reminder to the audience that even though we restrain ourselves at times, we’re still vampires and we’re dangerous. You’re going to see the dark, dangerous side of Alice.”Kellan Lutz (as Emmett Cullen): “You’re going to see a smile on Emmett’s face from start to finish. He just loves to fight. And there’s a lot of fighting. He sort of plays bigger in this one than the others.”

Robsten Finally Admit Their Dating!
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have made it official: They've registered their love with Oprah!
The Twilight on-screen lovers and long-rumored (and pretty obviously) off-screen pair have managed to dodge questions about their relationship up until now. But, according to E! News, when they visited the queen of TV last week, they caved under intense interrogation!
At first, they insisted: No questions about our personal lives! Well, no one was telling Oprah what to do, so in exchange for going easy on them during the actual taping of the show, she wanted to know the real truth about the real life Edward and Bella. Here's the dish from one Oprah show insider:
"Both Rob and Kristen's people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent."
Ha! We knew it! It almost seems unexciting, since it was so obvious!
Unfortunately, you won't get to hear them say it out loud when the episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show featuring Rob and Kristen airs May 13. When the cameras were actually on, the couple did their usual schtick: "Rob joked Kristen was pregnant, Kristen joked Rob was having the baby and [Oprah] wouldn't press it too hard on air," the source said.
Well, at least we got the off-camera confirmation. And it better be true, because if you lie to Oprah and get her mad... well, the Volturi will be the least of your worries!
Jacob and Isabella Top Popular Baby Names Lists Again
According to USA Today:
“Twilight is spawning more than just sequels. The film seems to be inspiring new parents.
According to the Social Security Administration, Isabella (the full name of Kristen Stewart’s Bella character) replaced Emma as the most popular baby name for girls in 2009. Among the boys, Jacob (the werewolf played by Taylor Lautner) retained its 11-year-run at the top of boys list.”
