Untitled Vampire Spoof' on the way, to parody 'Twilight'

It was all but inevitable that the creators of the Scary Movie series, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, and Meet The Spartans (Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer) would be putting together a vampire spoof movie, "Untitled Vampire Spoof" now that the genre has picked up in speed thanks to, well, Twilight, True Blood, and The Vampire Diaries.
According to Dread Central, "the film -- whatever it is -- has already earned itself a PG-13 rating and will be in theatres on August 18th."
Cinematical's Scott Weinberg predicts that this project is "sure to hit theaters with a big, hollow thud," and Movie Cultists' Scott Yacyshyn says "The movie is supposed to be a spoof on the vampiric tropes of Twilight, but if you’ve seen even a minute of any of the other mind-numbing SelzBerg movies you know it’s just a loosely tied-up series of jokes (not jokes, really: just characters literally saying what they are referencing, exactly)."

Rachelle LeFevre Supporting Her Twilight Family

The ginger beauty tells us she plans to check out Eclipse when it hits theaters next month. “Why wouldn’t I see the movie?” she said yesterday at the Environmental Media Association’s Yes to Carrots Garden Challenge luncheon in L.A. “I support my cast.
“They’re amazing people and they’re great kids and they’re doing awesome work. Why shouldn’t they be supported? And Stephenie Meyer is an incredible writer, as is [screenwriter] Melissa Rosenberg, and I think both of them should be celebrated.”
Plus, she added, she keeps in touch with some of the cast, especially Elizabeth Reaser: “We were like a family.”

Alexandra Patsavas speaks up about 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' soundtrack selections

 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' OST - Summit Ent./Atlantic Records

So far, Twilight fans have only gotten a taste of what The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack will be like - what with the full list reveal of artists and song titles and the release of Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)."
However, the inclusion of everything from METRIC and Vampire Weekend to The Dead Weather indicates that the titles chosen are very situationally-oriented.
Alexandra Patsavas, compiler of the three Twilight soundtracks to-date, spoke up about that issue, saying to NME, "It's about the best piece of music for the scene."
With this film, particularly, she revealed "This is the battle movie . . . So there should be some conflict in the music, so we have a band like The Dead Weather there."
Patsavas also revealed that she has been given, in making the Twilight soundtracks, a bit of creative liberty thanks to "forward-thinking directors [who] have a progressive music taste." The result? "It's completely natural," she said.

Any surprises in store for the next “Twilight” movie, “Eclipse”?
It’s really tough for our characters — the movies are based on the books. So a lot of characters are like — they barely have lines, they’re barely in it. But you can’t rewrite the books. I’m just grateful to have a line or a purpose in there. But definitely, Emmett’s character and story grow immensely in “Eclipse.” You see the battle between the [vampire] newborns and you see the werewolves coming along. It’s a big fighting movie and that’s Emmett’s strength. So there’s the fighting and the big brother role, which is nice.

“It feels like family.”
According to Alex Meraz, a 25-year-old who appears in the upcoming third installment of the blockbuster Twilight series, the actors who play the so-called “Wolf Pack”—a group of American Indian shape-shifters—became as close as their characters almost as soon as they arrived on set. “We really rely on each other for support,” he said. “It feels like family.” His co-stars Tinsel Korey, 30, Chaske Spencer, 35, and Julia Jones, 29, agreed: “I felt, kind of instantly, like we had so much in common,” Jones said. Being in an intensely-hyped Twilight flick, she explained, “is a really specific kind of experience. We all feel we’re in the same boat.”

Add Charlie Bewley to the list of Twilight stars who thinks Breaking Dawn should—and will—be made into two movies.
“The book is so heavy in terms of what happens and all the events,” Bewley, who plays Volturi vampire Demetri, tells me from the set of a movie he’s been filming in Moscow. “I think it’s inevitable.”
In fact, Bewley says, the first cut of New Moon was significantly longer than the two-hour version released in theaters…
“They had like a three-hour cut of the movie that didn’t make it,” Bewley tells me. “It had to get cut down—even though I’m sure everyone would have loved to have seen a three-hour New Moon.”
