Breaking Dawn Rumors: Who is the Director?
MTV has an article talking about the different directors rumored to be in the running to direct Breaking Dawn.
.
Here is an excerpt:
A new name entered the potential directors pool for “Breaking Dawn” yesterday: Stephen Daldry. He previously directed only three films — “The Reader,” “The Hours” and “Billy Elliott” — but he received Academy Award nominations for all three of them. Daldry joins a group of three previously named talents who Summit is considering to helm the final installment in the “Twilight” series.
As for the other rumored directors:
Sofia Coppola: The “Lost in Translation” and “Marie Antoinette” director knows her way around nuanced female roles, and Kristen Stewart’s Bella is definitely that. She also knows how to make challenging relationships compelling for film audiences; “Breaking Dawn” also has a lot of that.
Gus Van Sant: Van Sant is admittedly an odd choice. He’s had mainstream success with the likes of “Good Will Hunting” and “Finding Forrester,” but he’s known best for his indie/arthouse work. “Twilight” is many things, and it does indeed have its roots as an indie, but “arthouse” is not a direction I can see Summit wanting it to go in for the final chapter (or chapters, if it is broken into two movies). That said, star Robert Pattinson is keen on Van Sant being the guy, and the director has proven himself capable of blockbuster success.
Bill Condon: The random nature of Bill Condon’s resume is exactly what makes him a good fit for “Breaking Dawn.” From the “Candyman” sequel to “Kinsey” to “Dreamgirls,” you never know what he’s going to do next. He’s directed a supernatural, hook-wielding psycho-killer, a sex-crazed scientist and an up-and-coming soul singer… a teenage romance involving vampires, werewolves and a violent, bloody birth feels like the culmination of everything he’s ever done!
Twilight Rumors: Robert Pattinson as ‘James Bond’
Since Twilight and New Moon star Robert Pattinson is busy beyond The Twilight Saga with Remember Me, it didn’t take long for more Pattinson related rumors to start. Now recent speculation on the web has Twilight Saga fans wondering what it would be like to see Robert Pattinson in the role of James Bond
First, Robert Pattinson isn’t up for the role of James Bond, but …
According to Sky News via AceShowBiz, Robert Pattinson isn’t ruling out the possibility that he’d one day entertain the role of James Bond if offered to Pattinson in the future. However, the idea of Pattinson as Bond is something that fans would have to buy into for Pattinson to seriously consider the role.
During the London premiere of Remember Me, Robert Pattinson revealed that he’d entertain the role of James Bond if offered but also admitted that he isn’t very athletic and is “not good at running.” Pattinson, who will soon be gearing up for The Twilight Saga Eclipse, also reminded the outlet that if James Bond was offered, it wouldn’t be anytime soon saying, “Maybe in a few years.”

But, since the James Bond question was posed to Robert Pattinson, what do you think? Would Robert Pattinson make a good James Bond?

LA Times Review of ‘The Runaways’ Soundtrack
The LA Times has a review of the soundtrack for The Runaways, which features The Runaways, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, among others. Reviewer August Brown gives the soundtrack two stars.
It takes a real helping of celebrity chutzpah for Dakota Fanning to cover a tune like the Runaways’ “California Paradise,” a sarcastic ode to Hollywood street urchin life. For Fanning and film cohort Kristen Stewart, their night life equivalent probably involves dinner at the West Hollywood Urth Caffe followed by (non-alcoholic) cocktails at Drai’s. But on the soundtrack to “The Runaways,” their updated takes on the scruffy oeuvre of Curie, Jett and company feel tossed off in a way the original Runaways might appreciate.Like her fellow platinum-tressed actress-turned-rocker Taylor Momsen, Fanning takes her vocal cues from Courtney Love’s gnarled howl. But on record, Fanning sounds absolutely true to her motivation for making this soundtrack: She’s a beautiful, well-paid actress playing the part of a beautiful, famous rock star playing the character of a broke L.A. punk vixen. But this town is built on pretty people dressing down, and the deep irony of her musical role as Curie is unexpectedly on target given myth-building source material such as “Dead End Justice” and “Cherry Bomb.”
Stewart takes a passenger-seat role here, but her deeper register is a worthy compliment in this very silly formula. The rest of the soundtrack is essential but obvious ’70s sleaze-rock fare, including the Stooges and Bowie, and MC5.
