Kicking off the show were Garrett Hedlund, Jeff Bridges and Joseph Kosinski, who — despite this being their third appearance at Comic-Con — are still very enthusiastic about “Tron Legacy” and joked that they would have more footage to bring at the next Con, even though the movie opens this year. Hedlund mentioned that one highlight for him was all the training he did to prepare for the role and that he ended up getting his motorcycle license to pilot the cycles involved in filming. Castmember Michael Sheen, who likely garnered the most laughs of the show, joked that he felt like RuPaul in the 6-inch platform shoes his eccentric character wears.I was more thinking David Bowie, but that’s just my opinion. lol

KG: Yeah actually, they gave us some of these moleskin protectors. They glue it on your feet so your feet don’t get cut up or dirty. They kind of keep them warm because it is cold out there and we have no shirts on and you could get sick. You could step on a stick or something and it would hurt. Jumping out of Emily’s steps in Eclipse, jumping out to meet Bella, that kind of hurt because I kept having to jump and land on some rocks so that didn’t feel so good.
TFL: Did you have to do a ton of takes of that too?
KG: Yeah I did like ten of takes for that.
TFL: Are you ready physically for Breaking Dawn? Are you working out yet?
KG: Yeah but I’ve been a little lazy, because I’ve been so busy and not enough time to get to the gym. Any physical activity I can get my hands on I do, like mountain climbing, swimming, and running. So yeah, I think I’m ready for Breaking Dawn, definitely.
Gigandet said that, although there are vampires involved in the movie, fans expecting the romantic “Twilight”-style vamps will be in for a shock.More at MTV.
“It’s very, very different from ‘Twilight,’ ” he said. “The similarities kind of end with what they’re called, which is vampires.”
Gigandet said the world of “Priest,” directed by Scott Charles Stewart, is also entirely different. “The world Scott created is kind of unlike any other,” he said. “Sometimes it was hard to visualize what he had in his mind, but I’ve seen clips, and its unbelievable. … Just to work with all of these people, they’re such an amazing cast. I didn’t have any doubts [about taking on another vampire-related role].”
Gigandet’s co-star, “Star Trek” star Karl Urban, said he’s never seen a movie like this. “This is a post-apocalyptic vampire western,” he said. “The emphasis isn’t heavily on the fact — it’s not like a ‘vampire film’; there’s so much more to it.”
As far as what “Twilight” fans can expect to see, and fans of the original comic book, Gigandet and his co-stars said there is something for everyone in the film, because it is emotional and character-driven.
“[There are] so many different levels, and so many people are doing things that sacrifice for all sorts of love,” Gigandet said. “It’s not just one set love story. There are so many different levels going on.”
“It’s really a lot about being…in the room,” the Twilight author confides. “And it’s going to be a lot of upheaval in my life, but I felt like it was important. And then also, it’s the last one. So I kinda feel like, I’m going to commit to this for this year, I’ll get it done, and then I won’t do that again.”
The suits at Summit still claim they can do the book justice without creating an R-rated movie. Producer Wyck Godfrey reveals, “I’m unwavering in my belief that these will be PG-13 movies. And really, I say that not because I know what we’re shooting but because I feel that they should be. I feel like the audience of the books and the movies, many of them are under 18…I can’t make an R-rated conclusion to the franchise.”
Not to mention that Stephenie’s Mormon faith counsels against watching R-rated movies. So she’ll probably want to keep it PG-13 anyway.
