Robert Pattinson's 'Water for Elephants' wraps filming
'Water for Elephants' by Sara Gruen
While he was in town for the film, there were a few stories about fan encounters with the actor around town, including this one in which a young lady was able to get a few minutes one-on-one with the actor.
Two young boys from the area got the chance to be a part of the picture itself, cast as character "Jacob Jankowski's" sons for the film (see the video below).
All accounts of Pattinson's time in Chattanooga say that he was gracious to the town for their patronage and "very sweet" to people who got to speak with him.
Water For Elephants also stars Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz, and Hal Holbrook, and a release date for the picture has been set for April 15, 2011.
The film is based on Sarah Gruen's best-selling novel of the same name, and Pattinson portrays the main character of the story and the eyes through which the events of Water For Elephants are seen.
This film should serve as a wonderful platform for Pattinson, much like his work in the Twilight series.
Kristen Interview
The Telegraph has an interview with Kristen Stewart.
Check it all out here.
Here is an excerpt:
The Runaways released five albums before breaking up in 1979, and their story is the stuff of rock mythology. Their tough, sexy, jailbait style inspired a wave of female rockers and paved the way for other all-girl bands such as the Go-Gos and the Bangles.
Stewart portrays the band’s bisexual leader, Joan Jett, who was executive producer of the film and whose black hair and lean, punk look earned her fashion-icon status.
“It was tough because I only had a really tiny window of free time, but I wanted to make the movie. And I didn’t want to get any older because I’m already older than Joan was when she was in the Runaways,” says Stewart. “I just crammed it in, and hoped that it would work. And it did. It’s nice to switch to movies like this between Twilights, but I’m excited to go and do the next couple of years of Bella’s life.”
