Jackson Rathbone Tells MTV How Kellan Lutz Sent Him To The Hospital!

We previously reported that Nikki Reed (aka Rosalie Halie) had said that Kellan Lutz  (aka Emmett Cullen) had accidentally punched Jackson Rathbone (aka Jasper Hale) in the head while filming a fight sequence for Eclipse.
Above is a interview with Jackson recalling exactly what happened -

“Kellan and I were going over our moves — we hadn’t had any time to rehearse — and we were out in mud, so it was really slick and everything,” Jackson recalled to MTV News. “He punched too low, and I didn’t duck low enough. He caught me right in the temple, kind of knocked me for a loop. I didn’t fall, but I was kind of out of it for the next couple takes.”

Check out this new photoset and interview from Instyle with the wolfpack from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.  Inlcuded in on the action are tribe members Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, Julia Jones and Tinsel Korey.
Chaske Spencer had this to say about his role playing the pack leader:

Brooklyn-based Spencer admitted that he auditioned for “pretty much all of the [Quileute] roles” before finally being cast as pack leader Sam. “I looked in the book, and saw how big a part it was, and was like, ‘I’ll take it,’” he said. Korey’s character, Emily, is Sam’s fiancée: A Makah Indian, she’s actually not able to transition into a wolf. “She’s sort of the caretaker,” Korey noted, before adding that she doesn’t feel she missed out as a result of playing the only non-magical member of the pack. “I don’t feel any different from them. The wolf scenes are all CGI anyway!”

NEW Eclipse Clip To Air At National Movie Awards Tonight!

According to Digital Spy a World exclusive clip of Eclipse will debut at tonight’s National Movie Awards!

The footage will allegedly be delivered by secure escorted courier just hours before the ceremony begins at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
Eclipse, opening in the UK on July 9, is nominated for the ‘Most Anticipated Movie Of The Summer’ honour at the NMAs, while New Moon and franchise stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are up for the ‘Fantasy’ and separate ‘Performance Of The Year’ gongs respectively.
The National Movie Awards will air tonight from 8pm on ITV1. Stars including Tom Cruise, Diane Kruger, Chris Rock, Emma Watson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Daniel Radcliffe are expected to attend.

Peter Facinelli ("Carlisle Cullen") is in London, he said via Twitter, for the National Movie Awards. 
The National Movie Awards takes place tonight, and The Twilight Saga: New Moon is nominated for "Best Fantasy Film," The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is nominated for "Most Anticipated Movie of the Summer," and Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner are also nominated for  "Performance of the Year."
Earlier today, a bit of buzz came about indicating that a new clip from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse would be revealed at the show, and Facinelli's planned appearance at the event lends credence to that suggestion.
So, U.K. fans who can catch the show, be on the look-out for a possible new clip!

Twilight spoof coming to theaters

 There have been lots of Twilight spoofs out there, but for the first time one is making its way to the big screen. Fandango reports:

A little over a month after The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters, the folks behind movies like Disaster Movie, Epic Movie, Date Movie and Meet the Spartans are planning to unveil their latest travesty: Untitled Vampire Spoof Movie. And no, that’s not the official title (for those who thought the whole “Untitled” thing was part of the spoof), though we expect the title they do choose will specifically target the Twilight franchise since they know how lucrative anything related to it can be.
August 18th is the day we’ll all be able to run to the theater and purchase a ticket (so mark it on your calendar now … or not), though one imagines you Twi-hards out there will skip this one, unless you want to watch some Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson look-a-likes do absurd, unfunny things in the name of “comedy.” Of course Twilight won’t be the only film spoofed (we assume), as the vampire genre has been pretty hot as of late. We may see some True Blood in there, as well as a little Blade – and maybe even a nod to the Lost Boys franchise, which returned with a cruddy sequel two years ago. (In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a cameo from Corey Feldman in this thing.)

New Moon,' 'Eclipse,' and Robert Pattinson win National Movie Awards, Peter Facinelli accepts

The Twilight Saga: New Moon has won the National Movie Awards' "Best Fantasy Film" category, and Peter Facinelli was on-hand to accept it.  
In his acceptance speech, Facinelli thanked U.K. fans for letting the Twilight series borrow Robert Pattinson and promised that he'd be returned safely.   
Afterward, Peter Facinelli posted this  photograph of himself giving the National Movie Awards a thumbs-up along with thanks to the U.K. fans who voted for New Moon.
Robert Pattinson, too, won the award for "Performance of the Year!" To accept the award, Pattinson issued his thanks over a video from the set of Water For Elephants, thanking his fans for honoring him.

A new TV spot from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse called "Starting" has just been revealed on Yahoo! Movies!
TV spots don't generally bring a whole lot of new content, but this one offers a few new glimpses into scenes from the film, including one of the Cullens lined up for battle and the wolves chasing Victoria across the ravine.

In case you haven't seen it, here is a clip from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse where Edward (Robert Pattinson) threatens Jacob (Taylor Lautner) after he has made a rather sizable mistake . . . kissing Bella and causing her to break her hand.
In the book, Jacob escorts her in after the kissing incident, and Edward only comes in after Charlie has been told what happened.
Here are Edward's words in the book (Page 340): "But if you ever bring her back damaged again - and I don't care whose fault it is; I don't care if she merely trips, or if a meteor falls out of the sky and hits her on the head - if you return her to me in less than the perfect condition that I left her in, you will be running with three legs. Do you understand that, mongrel?" "And if you ever kiss her again, I will break your jaw for her." "You might want to wait for her to say it, rather than trust your interpretation of body language - but it's your face."

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' press junket dates confirmed

The dates for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's press junket in Los Angeles, California have been confirmed by Pattinson Online.

The press junket for Eclipse will be June 12-13 in LA. Coincidentally, it will be on the same weekend as the Official Twilight Convention which is also being held in LA. Rob, Kristen, and Taylor will be in attendance at both events!

No word yet on whether talent other than Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner will be present, but as details develop, I'll keep you posted.
In the meantime, know that this is likely to produce a great deal of interview material related to Eclipse!
The dates of the Official Twilight Convention in Los Angeles do coincide with those of the press junket, but the "Big Three" are only scheduled to appear at the Creation Entertainment event on Saturday evening for a "special panel event," per Creation's site.

The backstory of "Bree Tanner" is definitely something we know will be revealed in Stephenie Meyer's The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella, but the specifics are yet to come.
A few hints at what the character's story wil entail have been revealed by Twilight Lexicon and Crepusculo Meyer as follows:

Bree makes friends with one of the newborns, sort of lovely interest, with Diego, another vampire of the group. People' confirms Leah Gibson as 'Nettie' for 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'

When Leah Gibson's name was added to IMDb's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse page, a lot of people (smartly) took the news with a grain of salt, considering the site is certainly no stranger to error.
One blogger stated, "Let's remember how unreliable IMDB can be... anyone with a pro account can edit the submissions . . . so don't rely on this info to be 100% correct or incorrect until a more reliable source announces one way or a nother."
Well, that reliable source, it seems, has come forth as Gibson is featured in People Magazine's "The Stars of Eclipse" issue.
Here's what People has to say about Gibson as "Nettie."
"TV's Caprica star grew up training as a dancer alongside her twin sister, Erin ('She's five minutes older!') in Victoria, B.C. Still, those body-hugging leotards were noting compared to the corset she dons to play vampire Nettie in Eclipse. 'It was very tight,' says Gibson, who had three wardrobe women lace her up. 'But I'm willing to take the pain!'"
So, it seems that the question as to whether Gibson was indeed cast as "Nettie" can be put to rest, and we can look forward to seeing her in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on June 30th!

Julia Jones says a friend saw her as 'Leah' for 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' before she was cast

It seems that long before Julia Jones was cast as "Leah Clearwater" in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, she had friends vetting her for the spot.
InStyle Magazine has a new feature on some of the wolfpack (and its ladies) cast (Jones, Chaske Spencer, Tinsel Korey, and Alex Meraz, specifically), and one of the spotlight issues in the feature is Jones' casting for the part of "Leah."

The Eclipse casting directors weren’t the first to think Jones, a part-time model and Columbia graduate, was perfect for the part of Leah, the only female wolf. “One of my closest friends read the books before the first movie came out,” she reported, “and she always said, ‘This is going to be you. This is your role.’”

Despite being cherry-picked for the post, though, Jones still realizes that "there’s no way I’m going to be that person for everyone." Still, she is hopeful that "the way I bring Leah to life wins people over."

'Glee' takes on 'Twilight' fever

The idea of Twilight fever is no stranger to parodies and whatnot, but there's always room for Twilight on Glee where most Saga fans are concerned.
Last night's episode, called "Showstoppers," included a little tidbit about Twilight fever when "Tina" is accused by "Mr. Figgins" of having an unhealthy affinity for vampires and the Saga.
Here's one source's description of the episode's pun:

Mr. Figgins believes vampires are real. Seriously. He doesn't take it too well when a pack of fangirls wearing "Team Edward" t-shirts attack McKinley's resident nerd and bite him. ... Figgins demands that Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) stop dressing like a goth because it encourages an obsession with the occult.

Eclipse’s Newest Stars- InStyle Interview

InStyle has a new interview with some of the wolf pack members.  In the pictures and interviews,  Tinsel Korey, Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, and Julia Jones, talk about their time on set and what their lives have been like since New Moon.  Chaske Spencer says:

““It’s a star-maker,” Spencer said of the series. “It’s definitely opened a lot of doors.”

Both Julia Jones and Alex Meraz have already signed onto new projects from their Twilight-related exposure.
Spencer goes on to talk about how he auditioned for several of the Quileute roles before being offered the role of Sam.

“I looked in the book, and saw how big a part it was, and was like, ‘I’ll take it,’”

Fellow wolf-pack member Alex Meraz tells InStyle how being together made them feel so much like a family, especially being able to rely on each other for support.  I’m sure they’re just as happy as we are to be getting back together for Breaking Dawn!

Kidsday Interview With Peter Facinelli

Pel love’s this story. It reminded her of her childhood on Long Island. The main paper of Long Island is Newsday, and back in the late 70’s they launched a feature where kids were reporters on various subjects and they had a section each week called Kidsday.  Well, now a Kidsday reporter,Matthew Cebulski, landed an interview with Peter Facinelli!
“What made you want to take a part in the “Twilight” series?
When I first got the call about doing a vampire movie I wasn’t that excited. I was thinking it was going to be some kind of blood and guts horror film. But then I read the book, and I fell in love with it. I loved how it mixed this Romeo and Juliet love story with the folklore of the vampire tale.
Which one of the “Twilight” movies did you enjoy working in the most?
I enjoyed working on “Eclipse” the most because I got to do action, and the action stuff was a lot of fun. “Eclipse” is also my favorite book.
Was it difficult acting blind in the movie “Touch the Top of the World”?
I had them make contact lenses so that I actually was blind when I shot the movie. I felt like having to play blind all the time would be distracting, and I wanted to experience what Erik Weihenmayer had to experience on a daily basis. At the end of the day I wanted to focus my attention on who Erik was. Being blind isn’t who Erik is, it is just a physical attribute, and in the end something he had to overcome. So having the lenses not only gave me a fuller experience as to what Erik had to go through, but, it allowed me to put my focus on Erik’s persona.”

Will Taylor Be Your Classmate?

Finally, a reason to stay awake in class!
While he's already making big money as an actor and professional six pack, there are rumors buzzing around Taylor Lautner's home state of Michigan that the real life Jacob Black may be headed back there to attend college!
MLive, the state's biggest newsite, claims that Taylor is in the process of registering for the theater program at Western Michigan University, and may have already auditioned for the school (uh, audition? Like they wouldn't let him in!).
So, is it true? Is Tay going to be living in a dorm and dragging a backpack around in cold ol Michigan? Don't fill out those applications to join him at WMU so fast!
Cheryl Roland, an official at the school's University Relation's office, says she has no evidence that it's happening:

Ooh, one of the best theater programs in Michigan — fancy! Well, there's still time for Tay to register, though we're not sure what that would do for his, ya know, real movie career (he's supposed to film Breaking Dawn and Stretch Armstrong this fall).
