Robert Pattinson was reportedly unconvinced about starring in Water in Elephants until the handsome actor came face-to-face with one of the film’s costars, Tai, a nearly 9,000-pound elephant.
In the upcoming film, Pattinson plays a veterinary student named Jacob who joins the circus. Initially, the Twilightstar was “non-committal until he saw the elephant,” the movie’s animal coordinator  Paul “Sled” Reynolds told People. But once he “met Tai, he knew he wanted to do this movie. He absolutely adored that elephant”.
Water for Elephants, which also stars Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz, is set for release on April 22.

Interview with Eszes Szaboics – Rob Pattinson’s stunt double in “Bel Ami”

n a recent interview, Eszes Szaboics talks about working with Rob on the set of “Bel Ami”.  This article has been translated into English :

Eszes Szabolcs really looks like the worlds most beautiful man Robert Pattinson, who is famous for his role of Edward from The Twilight Saga.
The actor recently filmed here his upcoming movie, in which Szabolcs was his stunt double.
– I read the books and watched all the movies, but that’s all. I went to the casting not because of Robert Pattinson. I thought it will be an exciting experience for me as an actor to play in a film like this even if only an extra. Finally that turned out a completely different thing.
– Lots of people came to the auditions. One of my friend was wondering how we could be ahead of the long line. We walked in the hallway when a man coming from the opposite direction just took a look at me and he was surprised how much similarity is between me and Robert. As later we found out he was the casting manager. We went in and they asked if I have any experiences as an actor, and they gave me a smaller role in the movie. I became Robert’s dream. This may sound a bit weird, but in the story there is one part when I meet Robert (George), I’m a rich guy, while he’s poor. He sees himself in me, and decides he’ll become like me. I also got this role because we are the same in size with Robert, so it will look good in the movie he really can see himself in me. Our head was the one thing we had not the same, because his hat was big for me. But the size of our clothes completely matched.
– In the film are many famous actors and actresses. Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas also plays in it. They are big names in the film industry. The shooting wasn’t that easy the first few days. It was very cold outside to shoot. There were a lot of fans waiting to catch a glimpse of Robert, they were able to stand whole day on Andrássy street freezing. At first I couldn’t even speak with Rob, ’cause he was stressed because of the crowd. An actor is a human as well. During filming actors make a lot of mistakes in the text or they get the whole scene bad. When we were filming the indoor scenes he was much more relaxed. He came up to me and we talked. He asked me who I was and how long was I acting.
Uma Thurman completely enchanted me. We had a scene we filmed in Tihany. After the shooting we prepared to go back to the capital, but she [Uma] asked for a little time before leaving. I was curious what she wanted, so I watched her. She went back to the Balaton lake-side, because she wanted to take some flowers as souvenirs. Since this is a costume drama, Uma is wearing a big black dress. Adorable. She is very down-to-earth and funny. She did not act like a superstar. She had only one problem. She didn’t like the cottage-cheese dumpling she ate one day. In the very last shooting day she invited me to the crew-party where also attended Robert’s girlfriend, Kristen Stewart. When I met her, she just pointed to me, and said, “OMG, you really look like Robert!” Of course in English. That was all about meeting her.

In a recent interview, Joan Jett talked about Kristen Stewart  playing her in the movie “Runaways”. Here’s what Joan had to say :

HOW WAS IT SEEING YOUR LIFE ON SCREEN IN THE FILM, THE RUNAWAYS?
It’s really surreal. It wasn’t bad; it was a good experience, but it was really weird to look up on the screen and do a double take at Kristen (Stewart) as me. I think all the actresses did amazing jobs at presenting us. I can’t say enough about that.
WHAT DID YOU AND STEWART TALK ABOUT?
I did tell Kristen things that I wouldn’t tell anybody else. That was just back story, Runaways stuff, or my feelings about something just to give her a sense of who I was beyond this Joan Jett person. Who was Joan? To try to give her a sense of where I was coming from. Why I was so strident. Why it was so important time.

Kellan Lutz’s New Years Resolution

First off, Lutz, 25, hopes to spend a little more face-time with his family this year.
“I don’t have too much down time, which is a good thing,” he told PEOPLE at the Grand Opening of The Cosmopolitan and Marquee Las Vegas Nightclub on New Year’s Eve. “I was in Arizona, and I got to spend time with my five brothers – that hasn’t happened in years.”
And though he’s known for his chiseled chest and hot beach body, his other goal for 2011 is to be even more disciplined: “I want to eat better,” he says.
So what are his food vices? “I keep saying I want to quit candy, and I slowly digress [to increase] the candy intake,” he says. “I eat late at night all the time, and I want to cut that back – and get more sleep. I live right across from Jack in the Box, so that’s not good.”

Joan Jett Talks to She Magazine About ‘The Runaways’ and Kristen Stewart

After all, she is a kick-ass woman, completely open about her sexuality, who has been rocking the world for more than 20 years. She understands her place in the history of rock, especially women in rock. But she still has a modest, soulful demeanor that belies her in-your-face onstage presence.
The Runaways movie introduced a new generation to Jett and her music. The film on DVD comes out this month and a Greatest Hits collection is on the way, giving She magazine the perfect reason to interview her. As if anyone really needed a reason other than the fact that she’s Joan effin’ Jett.
On her involvement with The Runaways movie:
I wanted to be around for the filming. You know, the reason I never cared about a movie about my life was that I didn’t want anyone to f–k it up. I would be so crazy if someone made a Runaways movie that I hated, you know?
On Kristin Stewart playing her in the film:
I was thrilled … I met up with Kristen and we got along really well … she really studied me — she got down my body language, my voice inflections, expressions. We’re actually very similar. We’re a lot alike, in our energy, when we talk about stuff, being all over the map.[Laughs]
She was so committed. I remember asking her, early on, if she was going to cut her hair for the film and she said, “Absolutely.” I think that helped her to feel like me, rather than wearing a wig. It was good. She wanted me on the set every day. So that was cool.

Nikki Reed talks about Rosalie’s relationship with Jacob and Reneesme

Nikki Reed recently talked about her character Rosalie and her relationship with Jacob and Reneesme in Breaking Dawn. Here’s what she had to say :

Edward and Bella will become proud parents in the upcoming movie of Twilight is about to be filmed: Breaking Dawn, but it is Nikki Reed, who may be more excited about the introduction of the baby Renesmee .
“Selfishly, I’m very happy with my relationship with this baby, but I like the way how it affects my relationship with Jacob.”
It said the actress, 22 for People, who attended the event as “Cirque du Tacori” in Santa Monica.
Reed’s character, Rosalie Hale, always had a kind of things that bothered her when it came to Taylor Lautner shifters, but after reading the script again, Reed is willing to explore her softer side as a vampire.
“In the first part of the book do not like Jacob,” she says, “but we find this baby, and develop this relationship very strong.”
Reed is a connection that says it is reminiscent of her off-screen friendship with fellow Lautner, 18.
“It’s a similar feeling, but at the same time, more volatile than the relationship I have with Taylor in real life,” she says. “We are obviously friends, but not a joke we started to explore something that did not exist before. “

Official ‘Water for Elephants’ stills and new interview with director

People Magazine has a great new interview with Water for Elephants director Francis Lawrence, as well as a couple of official stills from the film featuring Robert Pattinson!

Read on for the interview with Francis Lawrence where he talks in some detail about Rob’s chemistry with Tai the elephant and with Reese Witherspoon. 

For Robert Pattinson, it was the elephant that sealed the deal.
The Twilight star, 24, was on the fence about taking the role of Jacob, a veterinary student who joins a traveling circus in the upcoming Depression-era romantic drama Water for Elephants – until the actor met Tai, his 42-year-old, nearly 9000-lb. costar.
“Rob was non-committal until he saw the elephant,” recalls the film’s animal coordinator Paul ‘Sled’ Reynolds. “After he met Tai, he knew he wanted to do this movie. He absolutely adored that elephant.”
PEOPLE has a first look at some of the film’s rich images – and Pattinson’s near smooch with Tai.
The adaptation of Sara Gruen’s bestselling novel, which arrives in theaters on April 22, tells the story of a love triangle that develops between Jacob, Reese Witherspoon’s Marlena, who is the show’s bottle-blonde star performer, and her husband August, the circus’s abusive ringleader, played by Oscar-winning Inglourious Basterds star Christoph Waltz.
Chemistry Lesson
While it was important to the filmmakers that Pattinson bond with Tai, their chief concern was making sure sparks flew between him and Witherspoon, 34.
“I saw early on that those two had a real on-screen chemistry,” the film’s director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) tells PEOPLE. “There was just this thing that happens between the two of them when they are together as those two characters that was very exciting.”
A Sensitive Guy
Lawrence became convinced that Pattinson could pull off the challenging role of Jacob shortly after a meeting with the British heartthrob to discuss the part.
“When I sat down with Rob, I found that despite his success, there was a real sense of humility with him,” says Lawrence. “I found that he was kind of uncomfortable in his own skin, and maybe even uncomfortable with everything that was happening to him. Rob is a very sensitive guy who very much loves animals.”
Adds Lawrence, “I found that, wow, this guy kind of already is Jacob.”

‘Breaking Dawn’ & ‘Water For Elephants’ In MTV’s Hollywood Crush Top 5 Films For 2011

MTV’s Hollywood Crush listed The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Water For Elephants in their top 5 films for 2011!
Breaking Dawn Part 1 is listed at number 2!

We can already visualize the possibilities. Bella reaches for the cup of blood, unleashes a bloodcurdling scream and the screen goes blank! Or, Edward delivers the baby, turns to Bella, murmurs, “Renesmee” (signifying that the baby is not the boy Bella dreamed of, but a girl) and the screen goes blank! Or perhaps Bella endures the burning transformation, her heart dramatically stops beating, she opens her vampire eyes for the first time…and the screen goes blank! You get the picture.
Another dramatic breaking point could be slightly later, once Bella is happily settled into her new vampire existence. Alice foresees that the Volturi will come to destroy Renesmee and the Cullen clan, understandably causing mass panic. When Jacob arrives and asks what’s wrong, Bella gravely tells him, “It’s over. We’ve all been sentenced to die.” And, er, you guessed it—the screen goes blank. This scenario wouldn’t leave as much plot for the final movie, however the real action in “Breaking Dawn” begins after this moment. Read the rest here!

Water For Elephants is at number 3!

It’s hard not to be excited for the April 22 release. The film adaptation of Sara Gruen’s No. 1 New York Times best selling novel follows Jacob Jankowski, a white collar veterinarian student who drops out of Cornell during his senior finals following a family tragedy. He finds himself accidentally joining the rag-tag Benzini Brothers Circus after jumping a midnight train and zig-zags across the country, making unlikely friends, finding forbidden love and seeing the dark side of the greatest show on earth. It’s the stuff every good movie is made of. Oh, did we forget to mention that Rob looks smokin’ hot, too?  Read the rest here!
