New Eclipse Still Of Riley & The Newborns!
MTV has an exclusive photo still from Eclipse of the newborns and Riley emerging from the water!
In what was perhaps once of the best moments in the second “Eclipse” trailer, we saw Victoria’s (Bryce Dallas Howard) newborn army ominously follow her right-hand man, Riley (Xavier Samuel), into a body of water and then suddenly emerge on the other side with the stern look of vengeance in their eyes.
If you’ve been thinking about that scene ever since you watched the trailer on Friday (and no doubt on a continuous loop over the weekend), then get ready to be chilled all over again! In honor of Summer Movie Preview Week here on MTV News, we’re bringing you an EXCLUSIVE new still from “Eclipse”!
While we’re sad Bree Tanner (Jodelle Ferland) doesn’t seem to be in the picture, it still got our hearts pumping as we realized this had be the scene when Victoria sends her newborn army to Forks in preparation for the final confrontation. If we looked that good soaked in muddy lake water, we’d probably use that as our mode of transportation, too!

Xavier Samuel reveals his 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' kiss was well-researched
Xavier Samuel as 'Riley Biers' - David Slade
Samuel, who was featured prominently in the final trailer for Eclipse, has been literally turning heads the world over, and he is featured in ELLE for his coming "heartthrob" status.
In his interview with the publication, Samuel revealed that the film's kissing scene between himself and Howard was one that they paid special attention to.
(You might remember that some photos from the set of filming for their kiss scene popped up online last fall.)
To ready themselves for that moment, Samuel revealed, the two "watched YouTube clips of the best kisses in cinematic history for research."
To prepare for the attention being a part of the Twilight Saga would bring him, Xavier Samuel is "tak[ing] a leaf from Rob and Kristen’s book," so one has to wonder if Samuel and Howard looked to some of the "Edward and Bella" kisses during their research.

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
According to a recent press release, the company is offering Twilight fans the opportunity to win $25 giftcards for ten consecutive weeks leading up to the theatrical release of Eclipse.
Beginning Friday, April 23 fans will have the chance to answer trivia questions based on “The Twilight Saga” and share the Twilight Trivia and Sweepstakes with Facebook friends. After answering the trivia questions, participants will then be asked to complete a registration form. Winners will be selected at random each Friday from all valid registration forms received each week. Contestants can register to win beginning 12:01 a.m. EST, April 23 through 11:59 p.m. PST on July 1. The first drawing will take place April 30, 2010 with the final drawing will taking place on July 2, 2010.

This image, along with the vast inclusion of "Riley" in the trailer really does aid the suggestion that we as Twilight fans will become partial to this character, doesn't it?

What kind of a ring does a vampire share with his lady love if he wants to spend eternity with her? We have a peek at the ring that Edward (Robert Pattinson) gives Bella (Kristen Stewart) in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.’
The ring, described in Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling books as being Victorian in style, features an oval face set with diamonds.
In the photo, you can also see the charm bracelet described in Eclipse, the novel. Bella wears the bracelet with two charms — a crystal heart given to her by Edward, and a small wooden wolf that was a gift from Jacob (Taylor Lautner).
In the film, Bella continues her quest to evade vampire Victoria (played in ‘Eclipse’ by Bryce Dallas Howard), who is bent on vengeance after Edward killed her main squeeze James in the first ‘Twilight.’ Bella is also confronted with a choice — does she want to spend eternity with vampire Edward, or will she choose a human life with werewolf Jacob?

Kristen Stewart did an interview with Flaunt magazine, showing off her sexy side in a cover photo. From the preview of the first page of the interview, we can get a sense that the article will feature how Kristen has grown from what the author calls “teenybopper” films into her new persona capable of handling films like the gritty “Runaways.” The first part of the article also starts to address the paparazzi’s obsession with Kristen. Twilight Saga and Stephenie Meyer Rumor Roundup
So there’s a bunch out there circulating. Here’s what we make of it.
Rumor 1: The Host casting in full swing and Ian Somhalder cast as Ian. Now as much as Alphie would personally love nothing better than to have this be true, at the moment it’s rumor. A number of sources that we checked with were surprised to learn of this because the movie is still actively being developed. What we think sparked this was a German fansite stating Ian would be great for the role combined with a casting website that puts out general information about projects.
Rumor 2: Kristen Stewart is going to be in a Bollywood movie. There are about ten or so Indian entertainment sites reporting this and now others are picking it up. However there’s a pretty big GAPING hole in the story. the story claims that all of this was announced by the director on his blog, and near as we can tell there is NO mention of this on his blog.
Rumor 3: Kristen Stewart is a handbag designer. This one is true. She’s designed for Coach China!
Rumor 4: Breaking Dawn will shoot in October. Christian Serratos apparently slipped at the Australian convention this weekend and mentioned that. Previously other cast members (Kristen and Kellan) have said they’ve been asked to keep November clear. Our take (this isn’t official, just our conjecture putting together info from lots of sources and having tracked this stuff for awhile): they will start principal photography late October early November. We’d also bet that it will be two films since both Melissa and Stephenie have said they feel there’s enough material for that, and given the possibility for points of view beyond Bella’s this would seem to make sense. What is certain, no matter if it is one of two films, is that it won’t be more than a PG-13 rated film because that is part of the contractual conditions of it being made. You can still have effective steamy romance (a la Remember Me) and medical gore (a la ER the TV series) and be under rated R.
Rumor 5: We’d be STUNNED if Breaking Dawn was 3-D. It might work for action sequences, but the rest not so much. I mean can you see Bella’s ring coming right at you or Renesmee…not so much.

Rumored to have beaten out Channing Tatum and Harry Potter actor Tom Felton, Samuel landed the role of Riley, right-hand vampire to Bryce Dallas Howard ’s villainess, Victoria. “He’s essentially a tragic character,” Samuel says. “[Director] David Slade and I talked a lot about conveying how complex he is—he’s harboring extreme jealousy and hatred for humanity because that’s exactly what he’s been deprived of.”
