Michael Sheen In BMI Voyager Magazine
Michael Sheen (aka Aro) is featured in the December issue of BMI (British Midland International Airline) Voyager magazine. Michael talked about lending his voice to Dr. Griffiths in Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue which out on DVD and Blu-ray now.
Sheen’s career trajectory has been meteoric since he first stormed the nation’s stage, prodigiously young, during his second year at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art), to star opposite Vanessa Redgrave in When She Danced in London’s West End. He is prolific in film, television and theatre. This autumn he appeared in his third and final TV film about Blair, The Special Relationship, while doing voice-work as Dr Griffiths in Disney’s Christmas DVD release, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue. He steals the show in this year’s Boxing Day blockbuster, Tron: Legacy – a sequel to the Sixties sci-fi classic. And next year, he is reprising his role as the vampire Aro Volturi in the next instalment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, and appearing in Woody Allen’s film, Midnight in Paris. He’s also returning to the stage at London’s Young Vic theatre in the title role of Hamlet.[Source: BMI Voyager via MichaelSheenOnline and VampireClub]
Today, we’re not here to discuss the big-screen roles that have made Sheen’s name, but Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, an animated film that must have been an entirely different challenge.
“The obvious difference between making my usual movies and an animated film is that you are not with other actors,” says Sheen. “Normally on a film, I have a strong sense of what I’m going to do and what I’m going to explore. But with this, you have to put yourself in the hands of the director.”

Taylor Lautner To Star In ‘Incarceron’
Deadline.com is reporting that Taylor Lautner is set to star in the Catherine Fisher novel, Incarceron.
Lautner will play Finn, who has lived his entire life on Incarceron, a savage, futuristic prison society. He meets the daughter of the warden, who is trapped in her own prison, a futuristic world constructed beautifully to look like the 17th Century. She knows nothing of Incarceron except that it exists. She and Finn simultaneously find a crystal key that allows them to communicate and hatch an escape plan for Finn. The film will be produced by John Palermo and Lautner is likely to become involved as a producer as well.
Aside from the final two Twilight Saga films being directed by Bill Condon, Lautner starred in Abduction, the John Singleton-directed thriller from Lionsgate. He’s also booked to star as Stretch Armstrong in the Universal Pictures/Hasbro film. He’s repped by WME and Management 360.[Source: Deadline via TwiExaminer]
Twilight Saga‘s Taylor Lautner has become attached to star in Incarceron, the Fox 2000 adaptation of the Catherine Fisher young adult novel. The film is being written by Adam Cooper & Bill Collage, who are among the writers behind the Brett Ratner-directed Universal comedy Tower Heist, and who are writing Moby Dick for Timur Bekmambetov and Moses for Fox and Peter Chernin.

Dakota Fanning Leaving ‘If I Stay’ Movie for School
The LA Times is reporting that Dakota is leaving If I Stay and will not tackle any lead roles until after high school.
EXCLUSIVE: Fans of Dakota Fanning were keen on the teen actress tackling a serious dramatic role as the lead in the supernatural drama “If I Stay.”But a source familiar with the film said that, after the announcement in October that the star would take on the part, Fanning has opted not to make the movie, which leaves her without a new leading role (and also, incidentally, throws the project into question).
On Thursday afternoon a representative for the star confirmed she would not shoot the film and chalked it up to the actress’ desire to finish her senior year of high school. The representative said that Fanning will shoot the two “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” films (in which she plays Jane, a role that brings a decidedly lighter workload), and may shoot a smaller independent movie. But she will not take on any significant roles until after she graduates this spring.
Based on Gayle Forman’s young-adult novel about a teenage musician, her boyfriend and a fatal car accident, “Stay” has been a high priority for “Twilight” studio Summit.[Source: LATimes]
But the project has now lost its star after previously losing a director (Catherine Hardwicke was attached before leaving to shoot the dark fable “Red Riding Hood;” she has been replaced by a Brazilian filmmaker named Heitor Dhalia.) The studio also might have some reservations about the film in the wake of the poor performance of another supernatural teen drama, “Charlie St. Cloud,” earlier this year. A Summit spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
