Alexandra Patsavas speaks up about 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' soundtrack selections

So far, Twilight fans have only gotten a taste of what The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack will be like - what with the full list reveal of artists and song titles and the release of Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)."
However, the inclusion of everything from METRIC and Vampire Weekend to The Dead Weather indicates that the titles chosen are very situationally-oriented.
Alexandra Patsavas, compiler of the three Twilight soundtracks to-date, spoke up about that issue, saying to NME, "It's about the best piece of music for the scene."
With this film, particularly, she revealed "This is the battle movie . . . So there should be some conflict in the music, so we have a band like The Dead Weather there."
Patsavas also revealed that she has been given, in making the Twilight soundtracks, a bit of creative liberty thanks to "forward-thinking directors [who] have a progressive music taste." The result? "It's completely natural," she said.
