When filming breaks for lunch, the actor, clutching a copy of “New Moon,” says he understands just how important it is to get every detail of his performance right. He doesn’t want to disappoint Meyer’s legions of fans.
“People have such passionate feelings about the books as I know through my daughter — there’s nothing more terrifying in some ways than the passions of teenage girls,” he said, adding that it will be impossible for him to embody every reader’s notions about Aro. “I remember my daughter said, ‘Aro is bald.’ Clearly he’s not, but that’s her picture of him. Maybe she was thinking of Nosferatu.”

Anna: I would personally rather be a werewolf since they seem to get to have a lot more fun. The vampires are very cool, but they have to be very calm and collected all the time. The werewolves get to let loose a little bit more.
Michael: I’d much rather play a vampire. Being a vampire would be cool, I think, for the first 100 years or so. It’d be fun to be able to play because vampires are just too cool; they’re just sexy and interesting and complicated.
Christian: I’d play a wolf. I’d play Leah, ’cause she’s sassy.

MTV: What’s your favorite scene in “New Moon”?

Reed: Anything that Taylor Lautner is in. Seriously, the kid is — he’s not a kid, he’s a young man — but he’s incredible. And I’m not saying that because he takes his shirt off in every scene. [Laughs.] Seriously, you forget that he’s half-naked in every scene, because he is so incredible. He makes this film amazing.

MTV: Tell us about your favorite new character to join the franchise, who wasn’t in the original film.

Reed: All of the wolves. They bring a very obvious warmth. To see people actually interacting and wrestling and touching each other and rolling around in the mud and being a bunch of boys? That was a nice addition. Because the vampires are all very … cold. It sounds super cliché, but there was a lot of interaction, a lot of human interaction [in "New Moon"]. It was nice.

MTV: What is your favorite scene in “New Moon”?
Reaser: I love Taylor in “New Moon”; he’s amazing. There are great scenes with Taylor and Kristen [Stewart]. I just think they’re really lovely together. I love those characters together. They’re sort of falling in love, and it’s an interesting love affair, because she’s still in love with Edward, and she’s devastated and heartbroken, and he’s [gone. I also love] the birthday-party scene, because it’s all the Cullens, and it’s Bella’s birthday, and Alice threw together this big party for her. And then she gets a paper cut, and it’s really dangerous for her to get a paper cut at our house.
MTV: Who is your favorite new character that has joined the cast for the sequels?
Reaser: My favorite new character? That’s very tricky. Actually, I like this girl who joined the ["Eclipse"] cast, Jodelle [Ferland]; she’s playing Bree. … In “New Moon,” this guy Michael Sheen has joined our cast, and he is fantastic. He plays one of the Volturi, and those are great scenes in Italy with all the Volturi — they’re just these total badass vampires. He’s just a great actor.

Were you a Twilight fan before you were cast in New Moon?
I wasn’t a Twilight fan. I just couldn’t get over that whole alpha male-ism that there might be a better-looking person out there in the world but me. (LAUGHS)
What was it about the part of Demetri that part that attracted you?
With Demetri, I knew that I could bring something to this character that no one else could; a certain energy and flare and charisma that I could really bring to him and make my own.
How was it coming into the cast for the second movie as an outsider?
A lot of people misquoted me when I said that it was difficult to come into a group of actors like that and they thought that the whole Hollywood cliché was the problem, but what it is is that with Twilight you have a phenomenon that’s only a year old and everyone has gone through it together; the staple six or eight characters in this film have gone through this massive amount of attention from the world and they have had to bond; they’ve had no choice, whether they liked each other from the start or not. And for people to come onto the set on such a high profile film and expect to just walk in and start high-fiving, that’s just not logical and human nature, and it does take two or three days for people to adjust to someone’s personality and sense of humour, etc.

Below is what they had to say:

Oh, Edward Cullen. Your penchant for stalking teenage girls and attending high school for all of eternity aside (dude, why ?), you are one good looking bloodsucker. Sure, the stirrings of your hotness were there when you played Cedric Diggory back at Hogwarts (R.I.P. friend), but I don’t think any of us really appreciated the true beauty that is you until you stepped into the Forks cafeteria in Twilight. What I like about Robert Pattinson’s appearance for this role (besides the obvious ‘please-take-me-now’ facet) is that he actually looks like a vampire. Unlike other high school vampire shows (I’m thinking of you, Vampire Diaries ), there is something simply too pretty about Edward Cullen. I mean, there is just no way somebody who looks like him is human. He has to be something more. Perhaps it’s the golden, color-changing eyes, or the perfectly placed hair, or maybe the very pale skin and impossibly red lips, but it only takes one look to know that this guy is not a guy at all. He can’t be. To conclude, I guess it’s not at all surprising that Bella falls in love with him in about 2.5 seconds (give or take). I mean, wouldn’t you?

On a side note my favorite vampire of all time, and my personally little obsession for too many years lol, is James Marsters as Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. I was so happy that he took the top spot on the list. He never gets enough props and he is bloody amazing!! Sorry Edward fans, don’t send me any hate mail it’s just that Spike has been my vampire for years, way before Edward hit the scene. If you have ever seen Buffy or Angel I know you understand!!

LimeLife: Have you been affected yet by any of the Twilight craze? Are you being followed, or has your private life been affected at all?
Julia Jones: Being in Vancouver affected me every day because you’re sort of in the middle of it while you’re there. But since I’ve been back in Los Angeles, I’ve just been busier. It hasn’t affected my personal life so much. My friends fortunately have just been amazing. I’ve heard stories of people who’ve said, “Everybody around me is changing,” and all of that, and I haven’t experienced any of that whatsoever, my friends have just been so supportive.
I’m incredibly grateful. My best friends for the most part are my best friends from high school and not one of them is in the entertainment industry and they’re just like, “She got a really good job.” Which is exactly what it should be – it’s a really good job.

It’s one of those things that’s really nice to see, these decadent older vampires that run this vampire society, if you will. I think they’re an amazing group of actors that we were able to get for the film, and they are very scary and intimidating. They’re all perfect — I mean, Dakota Fanning is a terrifying Jane; absolutely terrifying.

Taylor Plans to Avoid Shirtless Roles!

We've all seen plenty of shirtless Taylor shots from the upcoming New Moon movie, but it looks like there may be a limit on how many photos we'll see! It seems Taylor Lautner plans to keep his shirt on during future acting gigs!
Here's what the Twilight hunk had to say when asked about his newfound muscles and heart-throb status!
"My motivation was the movie and the fans. But I don't want to become known as just a body...If I had to choose, I would never take my shirt off again in a movie, but I guess that's not very realistic. I certainly won't be asking to do it, though."

“Wow, am I glad we were able to shoot there,” Weitz said with a laugh in a recent phone interview with MTV News. “We went to about 12 different hilltop towns in Tuscany, which was both delightful and exhausting, because it had to be done relatively quickly. Montepulciano had the most symmetrical main square that I could find, so that was the winner for that reason.”

Has there been a difference in the way you interact as a cast since you filmed Twilight?
Rob[ert Pattinson] has more security guards hanging around him! [Laughs] Other than that, not really. We really enjoy each other’s company, and we’ve been working so much on this movie that we really haven’t had as much time to hang out with each other. We’re putting in these long hours and then just heading home. Usually we just try to catch dinner with each other then get back up the next morning and do it all over again.

In New Moon, the stunts on the screen are all Daniel, and mostly Robert, for that matter. Anxious to perform his own stunts, Daniel found out quickly that the stunt coordinator for New Moon was the same one he’d worked with in AVPR. “I hadn’t gotten the script yet, so I called him up. He was familiar with my abilities and said for sure I could do the fight scene.”
The burning question posed by fans who adore both Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen: Which did you enjoy more- throwing around Wolverine or Edward Cullen?
No question about that one. “I definitely enjoyed throwing around Edward,” Daniel booms. “Wolverine was one toss.”

LimeLife: We heard that there were open casting calls for Eclipse. How exactly did you score the part of Leah Clearwater?
Julia Jones: The casting director I’ve had a relationship with for a number of years. She actually just called us up and I went in and auditioned for the director David Slade and for her, and came back about a week later and read for some people from Summit and David again and some of the producers. And then I waited for about a month before I heard anything, and you’re right, in that time they were doing huge casting calls and going up to Canada. I think they accepted tapes from anybody so really anyone in the world could put themselves on tape and potentially be seen by the casting people.
