Christian Serratos Says ‘Breaking Dawn’ Will Begin Filming In October!

In a recent interview with the Herald Sun, Eclipse human Christian Serratos (aka Angela) spills that Breaking Dawn will begin filming in October 2010 -

Until now there has been no confirmation if the last instalment of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling book series would be filmed.
It is thought the 754-page novel might be split into two feature films along the same lines as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with hopes New Moon director Chris Weitz will return to the helm.
While Serratos’s Eclipse co-stars Gil Birmingham, Daniel Cudmore and Booboo Stewart remained coy about the film’s start date, the actor and sometime model accidentally let the cat out of the bag.
“No word is out yet,” Stewart said, to which Serratos quickly replied “No, October.”
Birmingham, who plays Taylor Lautner’s father Jacob Black, quickly tried to cover up the blunder.
“We could tell you, but we’d have to kill you – like we will Christian,” he said.

Kristen Stewart Designs Coach Bag For China!

In celebration of Coach opening in China, Coach has asked various celebrities to design their own tote, by either drawing on it (or in the above case — scribbling) on a blank Coach bag.

Twilight' star Kellan Lutz joins Twitter to promote charity work

Last night, Twilight star Kellan Lutz issued his first tweet from his brand new Twitter page (@KellanLutz), an account, he states in his bio, that he began "to spread awareness concerning the indigenous charities I care deeply for in hopes of gaining your love and support." 
In the first tweet, Lutz stated, "Every one of us can be a light to this world and make a difference. It's our time; lets change this world and let our voices be heard."
Discriminating Twilight fans, who've learned the hard way that there are a great many faker accounts for the Twilight cast out there, were cautious about the account's legitimacy at first, but the page has just been verified as official.
Lutz's second tweet furthered his bio's quest by introducing his fandom to some of his favorite charitable causes, "I am 4 NOLA" and the St. Bernard Project.
Right now, Lutz is in New Orleans working on his forthcoming film Love, Wedding, Marriage with Mandy Moore.
Lutz joins several of his fellow Twilight castmates on the social network, and you can find a comprehensive list of verified accounts here.

Stephenie Meyer Named As One Of The Producers For ‘Breaking Dawn’!

We just officially announced that Bill Condon will be the director for Breaking Dawn. In an official press release from Summit Entertainment they also list Twilight Saga author, Stephenie Meyer as one of the producers -

According to HitFix, Academy Award winner Bill Condon will direct Breaking Dawn!

As reported earlier, Summit Entertainment has found its next “Twilight” filmmaker and now formally locked up Oscar-winner Bill Condon to direct “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.”  While none of the stars have signed deals yet, the entire cast including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are expected to return.  This is possibly one reason the studio has not confirmed whether, as rumored, there will be one or two “Breaking Dawn” films.
“I’m very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book – and we’re hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience,” said Bill Condon.
The fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s popular series chronicles Bella’s most advanced initiation into the vampire world to date, but is also seen by many as the most difficult to adapt of all the best-selling novels.   Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted the first two novels, would continue in that role for “Dawn.”  Stephenie Meyer has already met with Condon to discuss the project.  She noted in the release, “I’m so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he’s going to be a great fit, and I’m excited to see what he does with the material.”

Condon is best known for directing and adapting the box office and critical hit “Dreamgirls” which was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won two including Best Supporting Actress for star Jennifer Hudson.  The film also won the Golden Globe for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy and grossed $103 million at the U.S. box office.  The filmmaker won his own Oscar in 1998 for Best Adapted Screenplay for “Gods and Monsters.” He was subsequently nominated again in the same category for “Chicago.”  Condon also received a prestigious Director’s Guild of America Best Director nod for “Dreamgirls.”  More impressive, besides Hudson’s breakthrough, he’s shepherded Oscar nominations for Ian McKellen (“Gods and Monsters”), Lynn Redgrave (“Gods and Monsters”) and Laura Linney (“Kinsey”).  And for those concerned about Condon’s genre credentials, he’s more than happy to discuss directing 1995’s “Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh” to anyone who will ask.  Most recently, Condon teamed up with producer Larry Mark to produce the 81st Academy Awards with host Hugh Jackman.  That show received strong critical notices and was nominated for more Emmy Awards than any Oscar broadcast in history.

Catherine Hardwicke directed the first “Twilight” which was a surprise blockbuster grossing $384 million worldwide.  The follow up, last fall’s “New Moon” was shepherded by fan favorite Chris Weitz and made an eye-popping $707 million worldwide.  The third chapter, “Eclipse,” will hit theaters on June 30 under David Slade’s direction.

The holy trinity (aka Rob, Kristen, Taylor) are set to re-shoot some scenes from Eclipse. Which isn’t a big deal, happens all the time. And according to Summit these re-shoots were scheduled months ago.

Robert Pattinson Is On His Way To Vancouver!

New pictures of Eclipse’s sofa king hot Vampire (Robert Pattinson) at Heathrow Airport leaving for Vancouver, BC! Rob (along with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner) will be re-shooting some scenes from Eclipse.

A few great new parcels of information about The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have emerged over the past couple of days, so to be concise and efficient, here is a wrap-up of the latest in Eclipse developments.
For starters, a recent press release about Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment's newest marketing strategy highlighted some of the efforts being made on the promotional end for Eclipse and how we've already seen them employed without really knowing it. 

thisMoment, a company focused on creating engaging experiences at the point where social media, mobile devices, and the real-time Web collide, today announced that Summit Entertainment is leveraging its Distributed Engagement Channel (DEC) to create an official interactive experience for Twilight fans and moviegoers online.

The new channel, which connects fans across Facebook, MySpace and YouTube, will feature exclusive interviews, real-time chat functionality across multiple web environments and live streaming video from upcoming Twilight Saga events.

The release reveals that this was the mechanism utilized in the recent live chat that actresses Bryce Dallas Howard, Nikki Reed, and Julia Jones participated in (see here for more on that).

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' star Bryce Dallas Howard joins 'The Help'

It seems that "Victoria" isn't the only vicious character The Twilight Saga: Eclipse actress Bryce Dallas Howard will be portraying.
According to ComingSoon.net, she has just signed on for a role in The Help, a film based upon a novel of the same name by Kathryn Stockett.
Howard's role in the project is "Hilly Holbrook," an unpleasant "beehive hairdo-wearing busybody" who, one book reviewer stated, is "heading up a movement encouraging whites to build separate bathrooms in their homes for their colored help."
The book chronicles the effects of an interview that takes places between two other characters (one a writer and the other a maid) on the subject of slavery. The story sparks a national conversation on the issue, according to the book's description.
ComingSoon.net also reports that the film will co-star Emma Stone and Viola Davis and that filming will begin this July.
Howard recently appeared in The Loss Of A Teardrop Diamond, and has also done two other films, Untitled Seth Rogan Project and Hereafter (both of which will be released this year).

Welcome to Twitter Kellan Lutz

Hollywood Crush started the welcome wagon and though the account hasn’t been verified officially yet it seems legit to us based on the fact that an account belonging to a brandonjlutz links to the Kellan account and the Kellan account links back. The Brandon account was established well over a year ago, and at the time of this post the Brandon account was relatively low profile well under 500 followers and not much celebrity posting, pretty much daily life stuff—not really the hallmarks of a fake account.  The account also posts a picture of Kellan’s birthday cake which I don’t recall seeing plastered all over the Internet. So we are going to go out on a limb here and say welcome to Twitter Kellan Lutz, and if it later proves to be a fake then hats off, because that would be an elaborate hoax!

New Eclipse Still Of Riley & The Newborns!

MTV has an exclusive photo still from Eclipse of the newborns and Riley emerging from the water!

In what was perhaps once of the best moments in the second “Eclipse” trailer, we saw Victoria’s (Bryce Dallas Howard) newborn army ominously follow her right-hand man, Riley (Xavier Samuel), into a body of water and then suddenly emerge on the other side with the stern look of vengeance in their eyes.
If you’ve been thinking about that scene ever since you watched the trailer on Friday (and no doubt on a continuous loop over the weekend), then get ready to be chilled all over again! In honor of Summer Movie Preview Week here on MTV News, we’re bringing you an EXCLUSIVE new still from “Eclipse”!

Xavier Samuel ("Riley Biers" in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) claims that he did his homework with co-star Bryce Dallas Howard ("Victoria" in Eclipse) for at least one scene in the film.
Samuel, who was featured prominently in the final trailer for Eclipse, has been literally turning heads the world over, and he is featured in ELLE for his coming "heartthrob" status.
In his interview with the publication, Samuel revealed that the film's kissing scene between himself and Howard was one that they paid special attention to.
(You might remember that some photos from the set of filming for their kiss scene popped up online last fall.)
To ready themselves for that moment, Samuel revealed, the two "watched YouTube clips of the best kisses in cinematic history for research."

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.

A new giveaway series has been introduced by FYE (For Your Entertainment) for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!
According to a recent press release, the company is offering Twilight fans the opportunity to win $25 giftcards for ten consecutive weeks leading up to the theatrical release of Eclipse.

Beginning Friday, April 23 fans will have the chance to answer trivia questions based on “The Twilight Saga” and share the Twilight Trivia and Sweepstakes with Facebook friends. After answering the trivia questions, participants will then be asked to complete a registration form. Winners will be selected at random each Friday from all valid registration forms received each week. Contestants can register to win beginning 12:01 a.m. EST, April 23 through 11:59 p.m. PST on July 1. The first drawing will take place April 30, 2010 with the final drawing will taking place on July 2, 2010.

This morning, a brand new still image from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was revealed by MTV's Hollywood Crush!
The image shows "Riley" (Xavier Samuel) and his newborn army on the prowl after they've ascended from the water (as seen in the final trailer for the film).

This image, along with the vast inclusion of "Riley" in the trailer really does aid the suggestion that we as Twilight fans will become partial to this character, doesn't it?

Bella’s Engagement Ring: A new sneak peek!

Entertainment Tonight has a new sneak peek image at Bella’s Engagement Ring from Eclipse … in the photo you can also peek at her bracelet, and get a closer look at her scar from James:

What kind of a ring does a vampire share with his lady love if he wants to spend eternity with her? We have a peek at the ring that Edward (Robert Pattinson) gives Bella (Kristen Stewart) in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.’
The ring, described in Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling books as being Victorian in style, features an oval face set with diamonds.
In the photo, you can also see the charm bracelet described in Eclipse, the novel. Bella wears the bracelet with two charms — a crystal heart given to her by Edward, and a small wooden wolf that was a gift from Jacob (Taylor Lautner).
In the film, Bella continues her quest to evade vampire Victoria (played in ‘Eclipse’ by Bryce Dallas Howard), who is bent on vengeance after Edward killed her main squeeze James in the first ‘Twilight.’ Bella is also confronted with a choice — does she want to spend eternity with vampire Edward, or will she choose a human life with werewolf Jacob?

Kristen Stewart in Flaunt Magazine

Kristen Stewart did an interview with Flaunt magazine, showing off her sexy side in a cover photo.  From the preview of the first page of the interview, we can get a sense that the article will feature how Kristen has grown from what the author calls “teenybopper” films into her new persona capable of handling films like the gritty “Runaways.”  The first part of the article also starts to address the paparazzi’s obsession with Kristen.  Look for the article at your local newstand.

Twilight Saga and Stephenie Meyer Rumor Roundup

So there’s a bunch out there circulating.  Here’s what we make of it.
Rumor 1: The Host casting in full swing and Ian Somhalder cast as Ian. Now as much as Alphie would personally love nothing better than to have this be true, at the moment it’s rumor. A number of sources that we checked with were surprised to learn of this because the movie is still actively being developed. What we think sparked this was a German fansite stating Ian would be great for the role combined with a casting website that puts out general information about projects.
Rumor 2: Kristen Stewart is going to be in a Bollywood movie. There are about ten or so Indian entertainment sites reporting this and now others are picking it up. However there’s a pretty big GAPING hole in the story. the story claims that all of this was announced by the director on his blog, and near as we can tell there is NO mention of this on his blog.
Rumor 3: Kristen Stewart is a handbag designer. This one is true. She’s designed for Coach China!
Rumor 4: Breaking Dawn will shoot in October. Christian Serratos apparently slipped at the Australian convention this weekend and mentioned that. Previously other cast members (Kristen and Kellan) have said they’ve been asked to keep November clear. Our take (this isn’t official, just our conjecture putting together info from lots of sources and having tracked this stuff for awhile): they will start principal photography late October early November. We’d also bet that it will be two films since both Melissa and Stephenie have said they feel there’s enough material for that, and given the possibility for points of view beyond Bella’s this would seem to make sense. What is certain, no matter if it is one of two films, is that it won’t be more than a PG-13 rated film because that is part of the contractual conditions of it being made. You can still have effective steamy romance (a la Remember Me) and medical gore (a la ER the TV series) and be under rated R.
Rumor 5: We’d be STUNNED if Breaking Dawn was 3-D. It might work for action sequences, but the rest not so much. I mean can you see Bella’s ring coming right at you or Renesmee…not so much.
