Will David Slade direct Wolverine 2?

Eclipse director David Slade is rumored to be one of two directors on the short-list to direct the sequel to Wolverine, which stars Hugh Jackman.

And now it appears that the choice of director has been narrowed down to two possibilities, with Twilight: Eclipse’s David Slade and Red’s Robert Schwentke the leading contenders, according to the Vulture blog.Slade, of course, can parlay his recent experience directing hairy creatures that fight and his past work on the likes of 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy. While thanks to Red’s healthy buzz, Schwentke has become something of the Ryan Reynolds of the megaphone world, lining up possible projects one after the other.
According to Vulture’s sources, Slade has the upper hand right now, but Jackman is even now putting them through their paces, Dragon’s Den-style to see who gets the job. Okay, so he’s probably just talking to them, but we like to think of it that way.

The newborns aren’t all “pretty” as vampires should be.

In the scene where Bella takes off on the motorcycle with Jacob, Edward’s eyes are golden. When Edward shows up at Bella’s house later that evening, they are black. His thirst wouldn’t have become so apparent so quickly.

The Cullens are watching a news report about the violence in Seattle. It is night time in the report, and the reporter says “this is CNN live.”. Cut to the Cullens watching the newscast, and it is daylight out. Forks and Seattle are both in western Washington, it could not be night in one place and day in the other.

In the scene where Alice & Charlie are talking on the steps outside Charlie’s house, they are standing still, but in the next shot they are walking down the steps

Just after Victoria has been killed, Edward goes over to Bella to bandage the cut she made on her arm, tying the fabric around her wrist. However, when Bella cut herself, it was on the inside of her elbow, not her wrist.

In the last scene where Edward and Bella are sitting in the sunny field, Edward is not sparkling

• Just like in New Moon, Bella’s scar from James biting her is on the wrong side of her arm.
• When Jacob’s carrying Bella through the woods, in some shots her left sleeve is quite far over her hand, but on others it’s further back by her wrist.
• The bed scene with Bella and Edward: As he says, ‘It’s just one rule I wanna leave unbroken,’ someone or something moves into shot on the right-hand side, and it’s not Bella. In the next, shot you can see from where Edward is looking that she’s not in that position.
• During the scene where Riley’s parents are talking to Charley in the police department, his picture starts out on top of the file, then later they are handing it to him like he has never seen it before.
• When Bella’s talking to her dad on the sofa early in the movie, watch her right ear. Sometimes there’s hair covering it, sometimes it’s clear, and sometimes there’s a chunk of hair hanging in front of it.

• At various times during the movie Bella’s hair is different (she is wearing a wig due to her hair being cut for her role in “The Runways”). You can notice it from the high angle when she walks to her truck the first time she goes to see Jacob, then various times during the movie her hair seems to be darker sometimes and her hairline moves as well.

• Vampires bodies are not meant to change, but Jasper’s hair is longer in Eclipse than it was in New Moon and Twilight.

• When Jacob is injured by the newborn vampire in the final battle, the Cullens and the Quileutes are crouched around him. The top of Jacob’s flesh-colored body suit is quite visible at his waist; he is supposed to be nude after phasing back into human form.

• Spoiler! When Victoria’s head is popped off by Edward, who has killed her, her eyes are open. Seconds later, from another angle, her eyes are closed.

• After killing Victoria, Edward rips off a piece of Bella’s shirt to tie around her bleeding arm. If you look at where he rips her shirt, the seam is visible where the fabric has already been cut and loosely reattached; there is a long horizontal wrinkle where it doesn’t hang right from the rest of the shirt.

Summit Clears Up Rumors on Breaking Dawn Movie

Summit cleared up some rumors going around about Breaking Dawn:
1. There is NO open casting right now for Breaking Dawn. There are no local or national auditions. The casting director is Deborah Zane, and if you do not see her name attached to any future casting notices, then it is not legitimate. So any ads you are currently seeing, are not real. Deborah has kindly set up an email for Breaking Dawn casting rumors at BreakingDawnCast@gmail.com.
2. There was a rumor that Renesmee’s name was going to change for Breaking Dawn, this is completely FALSE.
3. Xavier Samuel’s IMDB page listed him as being a part of the Breaking Dawn cast, this also is FALSE. Riley will not be appearing in Breaking Dawn.
4. There has not been a US release date set for the DVD of Eclipse. Unless you are international and have it confirmed by an international distributor, it is all just rumors.

Xavier Samuel (aka Riley) and fellow Twilight star Jamie Campbell Bower star  in the upcoming film Anonymous by director Roland Emmerich, whcih is set to release in the US on March 25, 2011.

Here is how Emmerich himself describes the film:

“It’s a mix of a lot of things: it’s a historical thriller because it’s about who will succeed Queen Elizabeth and the struggle of the people who want to have a hand in it.  It’s the Tudors on one side and the Cecils on the other, and in between [the two] is the Queen.  Through that story we tell how the plays written by the Earl of Oxford ended up labeled ‘William Shakespeare’.”

Robert Pattinson becomes 'World's Sexiest Man'

For the second time in two years, Robert Pattinson ("Edward Cullen" in the Twilight Saga films) has been voted Glamour Magazine's "World's Sexiest Man."
According to Glamour, Pattinson came in first in the poll, and several other The Twilight Saga: Eclipse stars made the list as well.
For starters, Taylor Lautner ("Jacob Black" in the Twilight series films) received the number two spot. Then Eclipse stars Kellan Lutz ("Emmett Cullen") and Xavier Samuel ("Riley Biers") were chosen fourth and fifth.
The Twilight cast's domination of the top five is quite a coup for some, especially since celebrities like Johnny Depp were on the roster as well.
Still, Twilight fans are notorious for their ability to run a voter-driven poll, and in this case, four of the top five "World's Sexiest Men" were also Twilight stars!
In another, similar tradition, Entertainment Weekly's "Sexy Beast" poll is down to the final two, and it's Robert Pattinson as "Edward Cullen" versus Ian Somerhalder as "Damon Salvatore" (from The Vampire Diaries). The race is neck and neck (no pun intended) between the two, with Pattinson leading at 51%.
The list was tapered down from an original 64 contestants, and Ian Somerhalder thanked his Twitter followers for getting him there.
"That Pattinson guy will end up kicking my butt, however thanks for taking the time, that's really cool:)" he said.

Twilight' star Ashley Greene to present at the 2010 Video Music Awards

After the announcement that several Twilight and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack artists were nominated for 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, a few Twilight fans anticipated that when the celebrity presenter lists for the event were announced, some of the Twilight cast group would be upon them.


According to MTV, "Ashley Greene will also be among the night's presenters when the show goes live on September 12 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles."
While the list of presenters and attendees for the 2010 VMAs is not complete, it's good to know that at least one Twilight star will represent the bunch at the event. Chances are, Ashley Greene won't be alone.
Last year, Twilight stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner all appeared at the VMAs to debut a new trailer from The Twilight Saga: New Moon, but this year the VMAs fall far ahead of any film releases in this franchise (except, perhaps, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on DVD).
So, for now it's just Ashley Greene that has been announced, but keep an ear out for more announcements when future VMAs presenter lists are sent out!
Voting is still open for the MTV Video Music Awards, and the Twilight music group is a big part of the nominations list, so head here

Q: I hear that most of the guys in this movie had to do the Wolf Camp workout, even if they weren’t wolves. (I know you are not a wolf!) Did you get put into the training camp again?
MW: I did not do much of that because I am not a wolf. There is a big fight scene in the third film (Eclipse) where the Cullen clan and the wolf pack get together and have to fight this army of what is called “newborn vampires” so they went through like months of training and all that…but for me, I am just at the high school cafeteria. We mere mortals in high school did not go through any of that.
