Taylor Lautner Declines RV Dealer’s Push Up Competition

Lautner filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit last week against McMahon’s RV, alleging they failed to deliver a customized $300,000 trailer as promised.
“McMahon RV’s response to our client’s legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place,” Lautner’s attorney, Robert Barta, said in a statement.
Instead of resolving the suit with a push-up challenge, Barta suggested that the company’s owner, Brent McMahon, donate the $40,000 Lautner is suing for to a charity of the Twilight actor’s choice.

RV Dealer Challenges Taylor Lautner To Push Up Competition

The owner of an RV dealership sued by Taylor Lautner over a customized vehicle challenged the ” Twilight ” star Monday to use his muscles instead of his lawyers to resolve the case.Brent McMahon, who owns McMahon’s RV in Irvine, Calif., offered to compete in a push-up contest to settle the breach of contract lawsuit that Lautner filed Aug. 23 claiming the dealership failed to deliver a $300,000 RV on time for use as a dressing room on the set of the actor’s latest film.[Source: Yahoo, Gossip Cop.
McMahon and his attorney denied wrongdoing and said they will vigorously defend the case in court if Lautner, 18, doesn’t accept the challenge.
The dealership said Lautner’s camp had sought a $40,000 settlement to resolve the case, leading to the unorthodox proposal by McMahon. The 47-year-old businessman said if he won the contest, he would donate the settlement money to Children’s Hospital of Orange County .
Lautner’s attorney Robert Barta declined comment, citing the pending lawsuit.
Lautner’s lawsuit claimed McMahon’s failed to complete the customized RV on time, and it needed additional work after it was delivered.
It was unclear what upgrades Lautner sought. McMahon said the vehicle was given a custom paint job.
Lautner gained fame for his role as Jacob Black in the ” Twilight ” movie series. He is currently filming “Abduction” and will reprise his role as Black in the two-part ” Twilight ” finale.
Taylor Lautner’s breach of contract lawsuit, stemming from an undelivered trailer, may not be resolved by a judge or jury.
It could all come down to a push-up competition instead.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Last week Lautner sued McMahon’s RV after the company failed to deliver a promised $300,000 trailer the actor was going to use as a dressing room during his Abduction filming.
According to the suit, Lautner didn’t receive the trailer by the agreed upon date, and on the grounds of “emotional distress,” the Twilight star is seeking $40,000 in damages.
But the RV company’s owner, Brent McMahon, is roaring back – or perhaps pushing back – with the suggestion that he and Lautner settle the issue through a push-up contest.
Again, you read that correctly.
McMahon has vowed that should he win, the money would go to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
Lautner’s lawyer has not commented since the lawsuit is still pending.
An attorney for McMahon has denied any wrongdoing and promised to defend the company in court, should Lautner decline the challenge.

Celebuzz caught onto a Facebook post that Model Management Group USA & Canada made with this photo of a young actress by the name of Kayla D.
Here's what the photo caption says: "Attached is a photo of Kayla and Daniel D. ... Kayla is the little girl up for the role of Bella's daughter in the new film in the Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn. Kayla is pictured with her adorable brother Daniel who has already had two castings since signing with us this month! Daniel will be submitting a video audition for another role in the Twilight film! Good Luck guys!!!!"
In other words, the suggestion is that Kayla is currently in contention for the role of "Renesmee," not that she has officially been cast for the part.
When the Lee Pace story came around, there was no confirmation or rejection available from the studio, and since this is a similar circumstance, the same is probably true. Also, since the post seems to come from Kayla's representation, there might not be a statement negating the issue offered up to sources like Gossip Cop (though that remains to be seen).
David Slade in contention to direct ‘Hunger Games’ film
The next big film directing job in Hollywood will be decided late next week,. That’s when Lionsgate chooses a filmmaker for The Hunger Games, the first installment of a trilogy based on the Suzanne Collins novel series that many feel could be the next Twilight. I’m told that Lionsgate has gotten Billy Ray’s rewrite, and will meet with three elite directors next week before making a decision. Gary Ross, Sam Mendes and David Slade have emerged as the favorites. The script has become one of those closely guarded documents which do not leave the production company’s headquarters. I’ve also heard Andrew Adamson’s name in the mix, but it appears to be down to the three I mentioned.More at Deadline.

The 16-year-old actor was just announced as the newest celeb ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and is also a member of MDA’s Muscle Team. Breaking Dawn Rumors: Fight Scene To Be Filmed Just Outside Of Baton Rouge?
DailyBlam.com is reporting that they received insider information, stating that the final fight scene in Breaking Dawn Part 2, will be filmed just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana -
Recently, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the highly lucrative film series The Twilight Saga, announced that filming for the franchise’s final chapter, Breaking Dawn, will partially take place in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A source within the Louisiana Film Commission has disclosed to me that members of the Breaking Dawn production crew have already scouted out the location they are planning to use for the film; which the studio is releasing in two parts.
The scene will be the final confrontation between the Cullen clan, who are joined by the Quileute wolf pack and their friends, and the Volturi. The scene, most of which is taken directly from the novel, has been extended to include several physical fights. It is expected that many Twilight fans will be flocking to Louisiana when the studio begins filming in the area; which is why the exact area the production team has decided on is being kept tightly under wrap.
