Kristen Stewart On The Tonight Show With Jay Leno!
Kristen Stewart appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Wednesday night to promote her new film The Runaways.
MTV’s Rough Cut: Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning On Being Rock Stars
MTV’s Rough Cut interviewed Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning recently to promote The Runaways. Kristen and Dakota talk about being rock stars!
“We couldn’t be more [like rockers],” Stewart explained of the gig portraying Joan Jett during her early days in the hard-partying all-girl band. “This is the biggest opportunity to be a rock star.”They could definitely be rock stars!
“Yeah, the closest I’m ever going to get is when I was performing ‘Cherry Bomb,’ ” Fanning said of the signature song for Cherie Currie, which she sings in the movie at several clubs and house parties while being pelted with trash and flipped off by the very punk-rock crowds the band attracted. “I guess that was the biggest moment of being an actor: pretending to be a rock star. That’s as close as I’m ever going to get.”
“You literally are suited up and put in the exact same position [where a rocker would stand],” Kristen explained of shooting the biopic for filmmaker Floria Sigismondi, who captures the ’70s rock scene with amazing attention to detail. “You couldn’t [be any more of one] unless you really were a rock star.”
“Which,” Stewart added, making sure to be clear, “we both are not planning on doing.”
As Kristen’s fans are well aware, the girl knows her music. Remember that Minor Threat T-shirt she wore to Comic-Con ‘09? Or when she was spotted with the rest of the “Twilight” cast at the Kings of Leon show? Keeping all that in mind, we had to ask the big question: If she could trade places with any rock star for a single day, who would it be?
“Joan!” Stewart shot back, without hesitation. “It depends on what period of life, I suppose. But on Joan and Cherie’s best day? Oh my God, I would definitely go with that!”

Do Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning’s Parent’s Approve of Their ‘The Runaways’ Drug Abuse?
It’s no secret — The Runaways is about Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll. Ted Casablanca from E! recently sat down with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning and asked them what their parents thought of the characters they are portraying, and the drug abuse that those characters partake in -
With Dakota snorting drugs off the floor and spewing some foul language, it’s clear this film is a huge departure from the squeaky-clean New Moon, where everyone’s celibate and mopey. Not exactly family fare here, folks.I’m not shocked that both Kristen and Dakota’s parents are fine with their daughters playing the roles of Joan Jett and Cherie Currie. They clearly realize they are actors, and in order to prove yourself as an actor you need to play diverse roles. And you also need broaden your horizons as an actor.
So what do Stewart and Fanning’s own parents think about their babies going at it onscreen? We asked:
How do your parents feel about watching you act out some of these sexual and drug-infested situations? Is it hard for them?
Dakota: “One of the first movies I ever did was a pretty intense subject matter, so my parents have kind of gotten used to it by now. They know it’s just acting. They know it doesn’t come home with me.”
Kristen: [To Dakota.] “Do you find that it’s gotten easier [for our parents]? Because I find that it has.”
Why?
Kristen: “I was more nervous about it when I was younger, and it was a slow wearing down of like, ‘OK, Kristen’s going to do what she’s going to do. She’s just going to do these movies.’ Not that they were against it; I just sort of took away that projection. I sort of didn’t care anymore, you know, ‘Are you guys cool with this?’ ”
Kristen and Dakota really grew up in the limelight, so we’re sure their parental units have to be OK with some of the raunchy stuff. If not, let’s hold hands and pray they get there ’cause The Runaways is gonna be a tough one to swallow.
But let’s not overshadow the fact that these two gals give amazing performances as Joan and Cherie Currie—and after you get past the shock factor that you’re watching Kristen and Dakota, you find yourself totally enthralled in the flick. Great stuff.
Still, as much as best buddies K and D loved portraying these rock stars, they aren’t quite ready to give up their day jobs.
Both women gave an emphatic “no” when we asked if they would like to sing on future projects.

“I was really lucky to have her be so in to the project and so open about it cause, not a lot of people my age know about The Runaways and it was the most important part of her life and kick started her career,” Stewart tells Leno. “And also, they were the first girl band. They were the first girls to ever play aggressive, sexual assertive rock and roll.”
Stewart also played a “Minute to Win It” game with Leno and guest Guy Fieri. The episode airs tonight on NBC.
Access Hollywood Interview With Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning About The Kissing Scene
Access Hollywood interviewed Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning at The Runaways press junket on Wednesday. Kristen talks about kissing Dakota and not allowed to grope her!
Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning share a smooch in their new rock ‘n’ roll movie, “The Runaways,” but Kristen said one thing got in the way – the law.Interesting about the ‘no groping’.
“She was 15, and I wasn’t allowed to grope her,” Kristen, 19, told Access Hollywood on Wednesday at the press junket for her new rocker film. “I’m actually not kidding, there are major restrictions that I don’t remember [from] when I was younger.
“I don’t want to give anything way. It’s a really passionate, hardcore scene,” she continued. “No, it’s just a kiss. It’s not really a big deal.”
“It’s just something that happened in their lives,” Dakota told Access of the kissing scene. “In the script, it’s not like a big build up or something that they talk about afterwards.”
The two play teenage members of ‘70s all-girl rock act The Runaways, starring as the iconic Joan Jett (Kristen) and Cherie Currie (Dakota).
“It looks great in the movie, but we are not close to the musicians that they are,” Kristen said.
But the two loved looking like rock stars – and plan to share their outfits with the women who inspired the film.
“I loved the outfits, I kept most all of them,” Dakota said. “Cherie gave her corsets away and we had them remade for the movie, [so] I’m going to give her one and I think that will be really cool.”
“I gave Joan a leather jacket,” Kristen said. “I wrote all over the back of it.”
“The Runaways” is due April 9.
I loved to see the leather jacket Kristen gave Joan Jett!

Kellan Lutz ‘Prefers Brains Over Beauty’
Kellan Lutz aka Emmett Cullen in the Twilight Saga isn’t oblivious to the thousands of beautiful women who pine away for him. But the 24-year old actor says, it isn’t the beauty he’s into -
“I’m more attracted to who they (potential partners) are to be honest,” Lutz told Cosmopolitan. “That gets you through the door, seeing the face and being attracted to someone, but I don’t know for you guys, but I usually don’t see everything else until later on. The face is what draws you in, and then you learn who they are. It’s steps. It really doesn’t matter.”Handcuffs! It’s refreshing to see this young man who knows what he wants, and has his head on straight…that’s my monkey man!
The actor went on to reveal the wildest things that Twilight fans have done to attract his attention.
“Fans are great,” he said. “The most crazy thing is when they rush you or try and tackle you. I don’t mind giving them hugs, but I’m a big guy, and when you see it in their face like they’re going to tackle you like a linebacker, it’s like ‘Hey, hey, security… watch out with this one’.
“But no, fans have been great. Some bring handcuffs. One literally yanked them out and wanted to take me home. That would’ve been fun, I think.”

The Twilight Saga: New Moon' OST contributors OK Go want on the 'Eclipse' album too
'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' soundtrack - Summit Ent./Altantic
One band that appeared on The Twilight Saga: New Moon's soundtrack, Ok Go, has already expressed an interest in returning for the third film's album.
The group's bassist, Tim Nordwind, talked to Gigwise about the possibility of being asked back.
"The [New Moon] soundtrack was actually really great – a good collection of indie band's from today – and we'd love to be involved again if they'll have us."
On the New Moon album, OK Go was responsible for the song "Shooting the Moon." So, now, the question is: would you like to see OK Go return for the Eclipse album and why or why not?
Comcast announces 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' exclusives
'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' - Summit Ent.
Additionally, the company announces, "only Comcast customers will be able to view never-before-seen commentary from director Chris Weitz on a number of favorite ‘New Moon’ scenes such as: Bella’s birthday party, Bella’s cliff dive, when Bella rescues Edward in Italy and when Bella first meets the Volturi."
Along with the announcement, Comcast offered a sneak peek at some of their exclusive commentary footage.
In the clip, which is a portion of a much longer piece of commentary, Chris Weitz is discussing the scene pictured here where Bella and Jacob are outside of his home in the pouring rain.
"For about the first few takes, Kristen's contacts. . . cause you know she has these hazel eyes which are you know quite special color . . . and they're replaced or re-colored with contacts. So, eventually, the eye color that was put back in was CGI. Yeah, poor Taylor. You can tell from some of these shots that the water's so cold that steam's rising off . . ." he says.
First 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' teaser revealed
Capture from the 'Eclipse' teaser
In the clip, two moments of the film are shown. The first is an exchange between "Bella" (Kristen Stewart) and "Edward" (Robert Pattinson).
"I know the consequences of the decision you're making," he says to her.
The second is one involving "Jacob" (Taylor Lautner).
"I'm going to fight for you . . . 'til your heart stops beating," he says.
The first exchange could be either a portion of the proposal sequence or of a conversation about Bella's decision to transform into a vampire, while the second is almost certainly a portion of the conversation that Bella and Jacob have about him protecting her despite his disagreement with her wishes.
First full 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' trailer coming tomorrow morning
'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
That's because the announcement yesterday was that the first ten second "teaser" for the film would be released today.
Since then, another announcement has been issued stating that the first full trailer for the film would debut on Thursday (and, of course, in theaters Friday with Remember Me).
The deal is that the ten second teaser will be all that is shown today, but tomorrow major media outlets and sites like this one will be given the trailer in the morning for posting on sites.
So, stay tuned for the Eclipse ten second teaser today and the full, longer trailer tomorrow!
Any thoughts on what will be in the teaser or trailer?
Review: 'Remember Me' with Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Chris Cooper, and Pierce Brosnan
'Remember Me' - Robert Pattinson
Remember Me is a film which immediately beckons the thought of at least two adjectives: emotional and provident.
The film chronicles a point in time of the lives of "Tyler" (Robert Pattinson) and “Ally” (Emilie de Ravin), though it also rather importantly peeks into the contemporaneous journey of Tyler’s younger sister “Caroline” (Ruby Jerins). Tyler’s mother (Lena Olin), father (Pierce Brosnan), stepfather (Greg Jbara), and friend (Tate Ellington) as well as Ally’s father (Chris Cooper) are prominent characters whose emotional statuses through the story are intertwined with the main characters’.
DIRECTOR: Allen Coulter
SCREENWRITER: Will Fetters
SCREENWRITER: Will Fetters
CAST: Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Ruby Jerins, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, Tate Ellington, Martha Plimpton, Greg Jbara, Kate Burton, and Peyton List.
SUMMARY: Tyler and Ally have separately endured unmistakable tragedies, and they continue to suffer from their losses. While both incidences of privation took place years prior to the film’s setting, the marks left upon the two are heavy and unyielding (and in Tyler’s case very literal).
Aidan, Tyler’s friend and partner in crime, encourages him to pursue the company of a girl, Ally, because he has discovered her to be the daughter of a policeman who has wronged the two.
From the first moment that Tyler approaches Ally, though, it becomes clear that revenge is not the dish being served at their dinner date and that dessert, instead, is the first course.
The two enjoy a rather quick but unhurried romantic connection and things escalate between them in the regular course. The circumstances leading up to their union, however, threaten to disturb the stillness of their waters.
Meanwhile, Caroline is perceived by her peers to be an eccentric young lady who does not quite fit the mold of the typical sixth grade girl, and she suffers not only from the same loss Tyler endures but also from the delicate politics of childhood alienation. Tyler’s regard for Caroline’s happiness appears to be one of his most paramount characteristics in the story.
SETTING: The film is based in New York City, New York – for better and for worse – and the various peaks and valleys of the plotline are well accompanied by the surroundings provided by the setting.
Giving the actors that deference and space to occupy was not a mistake, either.
Robert Pattinson can rest easy after this film, knowing that he has given a performance worth – at the risk of using an overplayed word – remembering. He is able to deliver the calm as well as the storm when necessary in this movie, and he captures the intensity of his character’s wildly emotional and physical responses to his circumstances. If a doubter remained after his beautiful work in How To Be or The Bad Mother’s Handbook, this performance will effectively place the balled-up sock into his or her jaw-dropped mouth.
Emilie de Ravin, too, presents a sturdy and balanced figure whose acceptance of life and death is rather unchallenged until she allows Tyler to see the bountiful remnants of her life’s history. Even while unearthing the shaking truth of her story, though, de Ravin portrays Ally as the one with a tighter grip on the reigns of her emotion. While de Ravin is no newcomer to the film world, having wowed many with the very intense The Hills Have Eyes, her ability to portray a sympathetic female romantic lead will certainly be noticed in Remember Me.
The secondary cast in the film is strong as well, with Ruby Jerins absolutely nailing every scene in which she participates and Lena Olin adding that observable truth to her character’s plight. Pierce Brosnan stands out as the stubborn and formidable foe to Tyler’s wishes, and Chris Cooper – to say the least – delivers on the role of a man who, trapped in his own head, is hurting the person that he loves the most. Tate Ellington serves as the comedic relief which combats oversaturation of dramatic tension, and he does so well. Finally, Greg Jbara, Martha Plimpton, Kate Burton, and Peyton List all make significant use of their short time on the screen.
As a whole, the film is full of surprises, but it has a unidirectional feeling of focus. The very leading nature of the storyline makes the film one in which the viewer becomes very involved. There are moments of triumph right alongside those of despair; there are moments of love pinned right next to those of hatred and resentment; and there are visions of hope sided by those of travesty.
Remember Me will leave its audience talking about the film hours after the final credits.
