Saturday Night Magazine Talks to Bryce Dallas Howard About ‘Eclipse’
In a new interview with Eclipse’s Evil Vampire Bryce Dallas Howard (aka Victoria II) she talks about how she adapted to a character that had already been established, and what it was like for her joining the cast of Twilight -
SNMag: What has it been like joining the cast of Twilight? You can read the rest of the interview here!
BDH: It’s a really extraordinary series and obviously the franchise really reflects what Stephenie Meyer has created with a lot of integrity. She’s so involved with the movies and it is really wonderful. It’s really an incredible storytelling moment. And people are really connecting with and responding to that. So I read the books and I just did my best for the character Victoria. I just wanted to do my best not to interfere with the books.
SNMag: Did you feel pressure coming into this, with the character already being established?
BDH: Yes, of course I did. Rachelle [Lefevre] did an extraordinary job at creating Victoria and part of the joy of a franchise like this is getting to see not only the characters grow but the actors continuing to grow with the characters. That’s a lot of the joy in the Harry Potter series. Every time I see one of those movies it’s so exciting to see them because they’re all getting a little bit older and different things are happening to them. It’s like watching a TV show. You start to connect with the actors really deeply. It was really unfortunate for everybody that Rachelle left. I did feel, I don’t know if I should say a pressure, but an enormous responsibility because the fans felt really strongly about the role of Victoria and they felt a deep connection to Rachelle, which they should because she is also beautiful and talented. I really did do my best and I hope that whatever work I did can somehow honor what had been created before and what was created by Stephenie. I felt really grateful to this because Rachelle and I have connected. She’s an amazing woman and has been enormously and overwhelmingly helpful.
SNMag: What was the shooting like for you? Did you have an opportunity to hang out with the cast and bond with them?
BDH: Oh, yes, I mean they’re a very tight-knit group of people who are just wonderful. They’re incredibly authentic and none of them are getting swept up by the mania of this. They just care about each other and are protective of each other. They are just a great group of friends. I feel like all of these people would have been friends regardless. They all bonded through this amazing moment that’s happening in their lives.

Ashley Greene Talks About Skateland, Acting and Much More!
Ashley Greene was recently interviewed by Lance Carter at the SXSW where she spoke about the film and how she go into acting:
Tell me about Skateland and your character in the film.Check out the rest of the interview after the break…
Ashley Greene: I play Michelle Burkham, and she is a bit of a love interest, really best friend to Richie Wheeler, and who is [played by] Shiloh Fernandez. And Brent Burkham [Heath Freeman] is my brother, and we’re all this kind of trio in the film. And it’s the 1980s small-town Texas. And basically, it’s kind of this girl and this coming of age film and everyone’s trying to figure out who they are and what they’re doing, and I’m certainly one of those people. But, I’m also one of the people that pushes Richie to find himself and grasp for higher things and she’s a great character to play. She’s very vulnerable, very strong. A lot of emotional ups and downs.
When you first look at a script and decide you want to do the part, how do you go about approaching a role?
Ashley: The first thing is, of course, reading the script and seeing if the script holds my attention and then more importantly, does the character… is it something I haven’t played before, and something that I actually care about and I’m passionate about. I feel like if you’re reading a script and it doesn’t hold your attention and you don’t care about where these characters are going next and what they’re doing and you don’t care what they’re thinking and how they’re affected, then it really shouldn’t be something you’re doing because never ever doing I want to be in a film where I don’t care. And so, I think that’s the biggest thing. I think it’s kind of a gut thing and follow your heart and it works out.
You’ve already had a ton of success. You said you were from Florida. How did you get your start?[Source: StumbleUpon.
Ashley: I was really lucky. I mean, I guess as we all need to be in this industry, but I started out in Jacksonville when I was about 15 because I wasn’t really aware that I could be an actress. That option wasn’t really thrown out there in Jacksonville, Florida. I fell into modeling, and I took a commercial class. And I was like hey, this is fun. So I took an acting class. An after that I was full steam ahead. Went to New York, found Ryan Daly who’s my agent that I’m still with today. Got a manager and convinced my parents to let me graduate early and move to L.A. And they did, you know, which they’re incredible, is the thing. They’re so supportive. And I couldn’t have done it without them. And they shipped me out there, put me up for a year. And I hit the ground running.
Did they come out with you?Ashley: My mom came out with me for 10 days, set me up with an apartment, water, power, all these things that I had absolutely no idea about. And then she left (laughter). The first year was a lot of acting classes and a lot of me figuring out who I was.
So, what was your first big role in L.A.?
Ashley: Honestly, Twilight was the big, huge lucky break. The first year was tons of classes and me figuring out myself. The second year was lots of auditions and a lot of people saying, ‘We like her, but she doesn’t have a lot on her resume.’ But I just kept feeding myself and learning. And then finally, a little into the second year, I would get small [parts] like Punked and Crossing Jordan, small TV roles and really small roles in films because the directors liked me but I wasn’t a name. And then you know, Twilight came along and I auditioned five times and forced them to put me in the movie.
You’ve worked with a lot of really great, smart actors. When you work with people like that, do you take anything from them?
Ashley: Absolutely, I think that part of being a good actor is, most of being a good actor is listening and life experience. I can’t tell you how many times that something will happen to me and I’m like you know what, this sucks right now, but I can use this one day. And it’s the same thing on set. I worked with Michael Sheen, and I just was sitting there staring at him like who is this man? Because he’s so incredible. And so yeah, I definitely sit down and pick their brain. A lot of stuff I learn is honestly just sitting down and chatting with people, not even about acting necessarily, just about life and their experiences and how they deal with them. What’s your advice to actors?
Ashley: My advice to actors is if your heart’s not in it, then you need to go home because it’s a tough industry. I absolutely love it, and I wouldn’t do anything else, but I will tell you, that there are times when I go, ‘Why in the heck am I doing this to myself.’ You know, it’s a lot of work. But I mean, if you love it, there’s nothing better in the world. You just have to keep working at it. I think the biggest thing is believing in yourself because no matter how much anybody else believes in you, if you don’t have that confidence in yourself, it’s going to be really tough to make it.

Twilight' stars Anna Kendrick and Dakota Fanning are two 'Rising Style Stars'
Anna Kendrick - AP Photo
The two, who have both had their fair share of dressing up opportunities, were some of the ten young actresses chosen for the feature.
Others selected include Carey Mulligan, Amanda Seyfried, Emma Roberts, and Lea Michele.
About Kendrick's fashion choices, HB says she "plays up her tiny waist in form-fitting looks and experiments with every color of the rainbow."
For Fanning, HB finds that she does well to "channel[] her new mature role on the red carpet with lots of black."
In the Twilight series, Anna Kendrick portrays the vapid Jessica Stanley, but in Up In The Air (which earned her an Oscar nomination), she turned Hollywood heads with her sharpness and intellect.
In New Moon and Eclipse, Fanning picked up the role of Jane, the mean (but smiley) Volturi guard member. While she pulls off the scary, red-eyed villain quite well in New Moon, she's widely regarded as a sweet young woman.

Cover for 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion' revealed
'Eclipse' 'Official Illustrated Movie Companion' by Mark Cotta Vaz
The image includes a portion of the one-sheet poster debuted by Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment last week as well as the title art revealed last year.
Additionally, a shot of the mountainside and cloudbank has been incorporated into the image.
This is the same picture used in one of the two book tie-in versions of Stephenie Meyer's Eclipse (revealed yesterday).
The photo is actually rather nice for the story in Eclipse. Unlike the official companions for Twilight and New Moon, the Cullen family is not featured on the cover art for this book. While the Cullens are certainly a more integral and involved part of Eclipse than the former stories, the crux of Eclipse is definitely a focus upon the characters of Bella, Edward, and Jacob.

Charlie Interview
Self Magazine has an interview with Charlie Bewley.
Read more of his interview here.
Below is a little backstory he made up for Demetri :
1. He made up a whole backstory for his Twilight character, Demetri. Here goes: “Demetri lived near Mt. Vesuvius before it erupted–when it did, it killed his family, but he was so fast, he was able to outrun the lava. He ended up in the foothills, where he was enslaved. But he kept running away from his masters, and ended up in Rome, where he became a gladiator. He had no fighting skills, instead, he just ran away from his opponents. Eventually he was blind-sided by an arrow and he went down. Then Volturi leader Aro came in, recognized his skills, and turned him into a vampire–he’s been serving the vampire guard ever since.” Now, does that have the makings of the next Stephenie Meyer novel or what?

Twilight' Invades the Airwaves
You can't go to the cineplex these days without bumping into a cardboard cutout of the Quileute tribal wolves or having Edward Cullen's pale, sparkling face and brooding eyes stare down at you from a poster. Maybe, you should just stay in tonight and watch some TV.
Well if you're one of those few remaining people who are trying to avoid the 'Twilight' saga, you just lost another option.
PopSugar has put together a collection of all the 'Twilight' references made across television. Some are fitting, like the teen-centric 'Gossip Girl' and 'Hannah Montana.' But who knew it was its own category on 'Jeopardy'? (Yes, that means someone could study 'Twilight' to win money.)
Sorry, 'Twilight' boycotters, you're running out of luck. Tonight, try curling up with a good book -- oh wait a minute...
It's best to embrace the simple fact that 'Twilight' is everywhere. 'Eclipse' opens in theaters June 30 ... you might as well get in line now.

2. He has "everything envy". "It's why I became an actor," he told us. "I can be anything!" Two things he's green-eyed over right now: New York (he lives in L.A., but plans to move to the city at the end of the year) and whoever's auditioning for the next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
3. His drink of choice is rum. For the moment, Captain Morgans Silver Spiced run. "On the rocks?" we asked. Bewley's reply: "If there are rocks around."
4. He actually tries to make his hair look like that. It's an artistic creation, complete with tusks (the little pieces in front of his ears) and horns (they're somewhere near his neck, apparently). So how exactly does he sculpt his locks to architectural perfection? "I blow dry it a bit, then use this crap pot of wax I got for $1.95--sport wax."
5. His favorite movie is Fight Club. "It has everything a movie needs to be great," he explained. His runners-up: Shawshank Redemption and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

In a recent interview with Eclipse vampire Jackson Rathbone (aka Jasper Hale), he was asked by MTV about his character from The Last Airbender (Sokka) if he would win in a fight with his Twilight Saga character Jasper -
However, when pressed to admit who’s tougher, Sokka or Jasper, Rathbone declined to even consider the two characters squaring off — but he did admit to feeling the pressure to pick a favorite. You can read the rest of the interview over at MTV!
“It’s actually kind of funny, because my friends were ripping me about that last night,” he said. “Now that I have these action figures, these Jasper action figures, and they’re coming out with the Sokka action figures for ‘Airbender,’ they’re saying they’re going to buy both of them and fight them.”
“Who would win? I don’t know,” he said. “I kind of want to stay out of that one. I’m not really a betting man. … I’ll be Switzerland.”
