New Eclipse Still Found With Tyson Houseman’s New Interview!

The Twilight Examiner recently interviewed Eclipse Wolf Tyson Houseman (aka Quil), and gives us a new Eclipse still featuring Quil and Embry -

Q:  So even though your character was introduced in New Moon, you really didn’t get to jump into the action until Eclipse.  Did you kind of feel a little bit like Quil – that you were left out of the fun? And was it worth the wait getting to participate more in Eclipse?
Tyson:  Yeah, there were actually a lot of similarities between me and the character.  In New Moon, like you said, I only had like one day of shooting on set, and so every time I would see the other wolf guys they would always talk about all the fun times they were having on set, and stuff like that.  And I kinda felt like I was missing out on that.  And so I was really excited for Eclipse when we started that one.   I was a wolf and a member of the wolf pack.  So I got to hang out with the guys again and do all the stuff with them and that was really similar to what the character Quil was doing, too.
Q:  You really didn’t have to do the whole bulk up fitness routine, and I was just wondering how challenging it was for you to catch up with the rest of the cast members in the fitness regimen for the film?
Tyson:  Well, it wasn’t that hard for me, because even though I wasn’t actually a wolf in New Moon, they still put me in the wolf pack training.  So I was used to all the grueling work outs with the guys, and I kind of made it a goal for myself that by the time Eclipse started filming, that I was gonna get into really good physical shape so that I could keep up with the other guys and I think I did that pretty well.

NIKA: You recently announced that Metric wrote the theme song, “Eclipse (All Yours),” for Twilight: Eclipse. How did you get involved with the biggest pop cultural franchise of our time?
HAINES: It was one of the most out of the blue things that could ever happen. I got a call from Howard Shore–who scored Lord of the Rings and David Cronenberg’s Naked Lunch–and he invited me to write a song with him for the movie, which is totally different than simply contributing a song to the soundtrack. I immediately said yes. It was an amazing experience. I watched the scenes; I’m not an actress, but I was speaking for Bella, in a way. I didn’t know much about the series going in, but I didn’t need to be a fan. I was writing for a moment, really connected with the character–she

Michael Sheen appears on 'Craig Ferguson' to promote 'The Special Relationship'

If you've been following Michael Sheen ("Aro" in The Twilight Saga: New Moon)'s career - even loosely - you'll know that some of his best moments on the small screen have been on the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.
For whatever reason, Sheen and Ferguson have an honest rapport with one another that makes for good TV.
In Sheen's latest appearance on the show, he went on to promote his new film The Special Relationship in which he reprises the role of Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the U.K.
The film debuts tonight on HBO (at 9:00 p.m.), but you'll probably find that in this interview, the focus of the discussion is quite apart from the intricacies of the picture.

Hot Topic has announced its plans to host listening parties for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack next Friday, June 4th, at "any Hot Topic location."
Hot Topic is also offering a "special gift" with in-store pre-order purchases of the Eclipse soundtrack.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' soundtrack contributor duo might team up again

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' OST - Summit Ent./Atlantic Records

When the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is revealed on June 8th, you might find that Beck and Bat for Lashes' "Let's Get Lost" is a nice little song, and apparently the two artists may be planning to work together again.
According to Billboard, Bat for Lashes (Natasha Khan) is considering involving Beck (Beck Hanson) in her next album.
"It turned out great, and I'm really proud of it," she said of their work in "Let's Get Lost."
When asked whether she wanted Beck on her next album, she said "Yes, possibly. He's got great creative ideas."
Nice to see the Eclipse soundtrack bringing artists together this way, isn't it?

Eclipse International Promotional Schedule So Far

HollywoodNews.com has given us a run down of what the Eclipse International Promotional Tour looks like so far -

May 31: Sydney, Australia. Kristen and Taylor will be present for a Q&A event in Luna Park. The event will be run by Richard Wilkins but will be broadcast live via satellite from Sydney’s Luna Park into selected Hoyts cinemas.
June 3: Seoul, Korea. Kristen and Taylor are slated to arrive on the 2nd; Pan Cinema has announced a press conference, a “red carpet appearance”, and a fan meet and greet at a special meeting on June 3rd.

June 17: Rome, Italy. Eagle Pictures confirmed, via its web site today, that Kristen and Taylor are now set for an appearance in Rome. Few additional details are available .
June 21: Stockholm, Sweden. The official twilight web site in Sweden announced that Taylor and Kristen would visit Stockholm on June 21st. Though a media press conference has been announced, details of any fan events have not been definitively confirmed.
June 28. Madrid, Spain. According to Aurum Producciones, Ashley Greene and Xavier Samuel are slated to appear in Madrid to promote “Eclipse”. Already scheduled are a press conference and a session for fans to meet the actors.
Berlin, Germany. The final city that has been mentioned as part of the European tour is Berlin Germany, though no date has been confirmed.
Due to Rob’s shooting schedule for “Water for Elephants”, he will be absent for most “Eclipse” promo engagements that take place far outside of LA. In contrast to the “New Moon” promotion, which featured the three principal stars heavily, for “Eclipse” Kristen and Taylor will mostly be on their own.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' director Bill Condon 'excited' about the project

Even the most ardent of us, Twilight fans, realizes that putting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn together will be no easy feat. There are moments in the story that are, quite simply, going to be difficult to parlay from words onto film.
Bill Condon, who is set to direct the picture, has no qualms about it though.
Speaking to NBC's PopcornBiz, Condon said that he is "excited" about filming the picture.

The thought of the seemingly daunting task before him only gets Condon pumped up. He even said he's "excited" to shoot Bella's extreme birth scene.

"I'm just so turned on by this book," Condon said. "It's everything you hope could happen in a book, plus the strangest things you could ever imagine."

Of course, you'll no doubt remember Bill Condon's confident and deferential note to Twilight fans from last month where he regarded the story as filled with "characters [which] are simultaneously timeless, yet very modern."
Sounds like Condon is quite right for the post, don't you think?

Entertainment Weekly names Edward Cullen among the 100 Greatest Characters of the Last 20 Years

Entertainment Weekly is the most recent publication to rank one of Stephenie Meyer’s brood, having named Edward Cullen as one of the 100 Greatest Characters of the Last 20 Years as part of this week’s cover feature.
“Who says vampires are scary?” the section headline reads, “Sometimes they’re just dreamy teen idols.” All this after it announces that Stephenie Meyer’s most beloved vamp ranked in at #53. Though the write-up isn’t shy about suggesting that Robert Pattinson the actor may be responsible for the memorability of Edward Cullen the vampire, both Twi-hards and Twi-haters would agree that certain aspects of his character (e.g., being brooding and mysterious, gentlemanly but unattainable, unfailingly devoted to Bella) hold the most appeal to women.

Add Rome, Italy to the list of forthcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse promotional appearances by Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner!
The two were announced by Italian film distributor Eagle Pictures as planning to tour the area on June 17th:

Back in October 2008 Rome Film Festival was one of the very first Twilight events to take place and the cast had an amazing welcome from the fans. Rome is just one of the many tour stops around Europe. Kristen and Taylor will attend a press conference in the morning and have a meeting with the fans in the afternoon. This fan event is still top secret but the production staff assures it will be a great opportunity for the fans to share an unforgettable afternoon with their favourites.

The growing list of coming international appearances by the two also includes Seoul, Korea, Sydney, Australia, and Stockholm, Sweden.

Robert Pattinson creates original artwork for charity

By now, you're probably aware that Robert Pattinson is a multi-talented fellow. While acting may be his profession, he's also a gifted singer and, apparently, an artistic humanitarian.
The latest charitable endeavor for this Twilight star is an original piece of artwork he has created for a charity auction.
The charity information for the auction is as follows:

PACT is an international, non-profit organisation, registered in the USA and the UK. Its initial mission was to fight parental child abduction across frontiers by raising awareness of a growing, but little-known, problem and by advocating solutions. PACT has now broadened its mission to include the location and retrieval of all children who go missing. It works closely with the police, government, and other non-profit organizations. It is influential in advocacy, policy, strategic planning and research.

PACT posted the following information about the piece Robert Pattinson created on their eBay listing for the item:

There's no doubt about it: right now Robert Pattinson is the most famous actor in the world. His role as cold-skinned, warm-hearted vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movie saga has propelled this young British actor to idol status almost overnight. But - perhaps taking a cue from his character, who loves humanity despite himself - Mr. Pattinson hasn't let his grueling production schedule or his mega-fame keep him from contributing regularly to causes he cares about. The official website for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack has announced that a sneak peek of three songs from the much-anticipated album (due June 8th) will be previewed on Monday, May 31st!

Get a taste of the Eclipse Soundtrack before anyone else! We’ll be revealing sneak previews of three songs from the soundtrack on Monday, but the only way to hear these clips is if you pre-order the soundtrack before then, to be added to the exclusive Twi-Insiders mailing list.

So far, three songs from the Eclipse soundtrack have been revealed. First, a live version of Fanfarlo's Atlas was revealed, and then the song contributions by both Muse and Vampire Weekend were formally debuted (here and here, respectively).

Rachelle Lefevre Will Support Her Cast By Watching Eclipse!

In a recent interview with E!Online Rachelle Lefevre (aka Victoria, Twilight & New Moon) said that she would go see Eclipse in theaters, to support her cast -

“Why wouldn’t I see the movie?” she said yesterday at the Environmental Media Association’s Yes to Carrots Garden Challenge luncheon in L.A. “I support my cast.
“They’re amazing people and they’re great kids and they’re doing awesome work. Why shouldn’t they be supported? And Stephenie Meyer is an incredible writer, as is [screenwriter] Melissa Rosenberg, and I think both of them should be celebrated.”
Plus, she added, she keeps in touch with some of the cast, especially Elizabeth Reaser: “We were like a family.”
