New Film for Nikki Reed
Head over to Hollywood Reporter to read the full article!Hayden Panettiere, of TV’s Heroes, and Nikki Reed, from the Twilight franchise, are attached to star in the high school-set thriller Downers Grove, which has been unveiled at the American Film Market.
Bret Easton Ellis has written the screenplay, based on the novel by Michael Hornberg. Nelson McCormick (Prom Night) is set to direct the feature, which will film in Louisiana in the spring.
The movie will be set in a high school in the Chicago suburb where every year, one senior dies a bizarre death before the end of the school year. Panettiere’s character fears that she’s the next victim.
The cast will also include Rebecca De Mornay.

Eclipse Nominated For Eight Peoples Choice Awards!

Eclipse and its stars earned aPeople’s Choice Awards-leading eight nominations when the nods were announced on Tuesday.Also up for awards is:
Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner each earned “favorite movie actor” nominations, while Kristen Stewart is a candidate for “favorite movie actress.”
The trio of stars are together nominated for “favorite on-screen team,” while Stewart and Pattinson are included in the “favorite movie stars under 25″ category.
Eclipse is up for “favorite movie” and “favorite drama.”
Fans can vote on the categories until December 7. The awards will be handed out on January 5, 2011 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

You may have heard about Pattinwartzzles (that’s their celeb couple name, right?) noshing with Twilight author Stephanie Meyer in Rio de Janeiro, but now the pale pair have moved south to the coastal town of Paraty. Will Paraty serve as the backdrop for Bella & Edward’s honeymoon or does the Cullen clan just really enjoy the many beautiful baroque churches that dot the old colonial city? Questions abound, but the most important one is, are the people of Paraty Parelha Jacó ou Parelha Eduardo?

Breaking Dawn Filming News: Press Conference With Director Bill Condon In Rio
Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon gave a press conference earlier today in Brazil. Here’s the English translation of the R7 article of the press conference.
In a rush for the filming of Dawn, the fourth film in the Twilight Saga, director Bill Condon gave a press conference on the afternoon of Monday (8) at Cine Roxy in Copacabana, south of Rio de Janeiro.
The director told R7 actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are enjoying the affection of fans.
- Both me and they’re enjoying the affection of fans. Incidentally, I want to say it to them (Rio). We are enjoying the warmth of the crowd and the city.
The director said the choice of the city as a location was stimulated by Rio Films, co-producer of Dawn, who decided to include the state capital in the script of the story.
- Rio is a very vibrant place, so we decided that the city would come in the film. We wanted this vibration was evident at Dawn. We did a scene in Lapa Edward [Pattinson] and Bella [Kristen] to show the real side of carioca culture.

Rio Films said the film crew will be ten days in Rio de Janeiro – they arrived on Friday (5) – but that will only be five days of filming. The remaining days will be to shift production and equipment.
