Breaking Dawn Filming News: Edward & Bella’s Cottage Found In Vancouver!

The ever awesome Mandy from Mandy’s Mind has found the cottage that will be used as Bella and Edward’s in Breaking Dawn, which is located in British Columbia (where filming of the last parts of Breaking Dawn will begin soon) –

It looked just about finished, besides some final touches such as foliage, flowers and whatnot. It was perfect. Nestled amongst trees with the stone walls and the square chimney. Looked just about ready for filming!

Literary Scout Sues to Be Paid for Finding ‘Twilight’

A woman who claims credit for discovering Twilight as a potential feature film is demanding payment for her role in helping launch one of Hollywood’s biggest movie franchises.
Nanette Shipley says in a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court that she was “a literary scout,” whose job was to find potential feature films for Maverick Films. Shipley claims enormous success, helping Maverick find and obtain the rights for two motion pictures, Twilight and The Lighting Thief. She says her complaint against Marverick and topper Mark Morgan that she was promised $75,000 for her work in connection with Twilightand $100,000 for her work in connection with The Lighting Thief.
She says she’s only been paid $20,000 and wants the outstanding $155,000 plus legal costs.

The local news station WBRZ reports that the filming for Breaking Dawn has indeed wrapped in Baton Rouge.

Rachelle Lefevre to be ‘the voice’ of the Genie Awards

Rachelle Lefevre has been chosen as “the voice” of Canada’s Genie Awards, which will be hosted by William Shatner. I’m not sure what being “the voice” is unless that means the announcer or something. Anyone?

Ottawa, get ready — Captain Kirk is headed to your city. It was just announced that William Shatner, the Canadian icon and current star of ‘$#*! My Dad Says,’ will host this year’s Genie Awards gala.
“I’m so looking forward to coming to Canada as the host of the 31st annual Genie Awards and seeing a lot of my old friends,” said Shatner in a release issued today. “Unfortunately, most of them are dead of old age.”
The annual event celebrates the Canadian film industry and will take place at the National Arts Centre in Canada’s capital.
Working alongside Shatner will be ‘Barney’s Version’ and ‘Twilight’ star Rachelle Lefevre who will act as ‘the voice’ of the event. Special musical performances and celebrity presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

Release date for Anna Kendrick & Bryce Dallas Howard’s ‘50/50′

The film 50/50, which stars Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard, Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been given a release date (U.S.) of September 30, 2011. The film is being released by Twilight distributor Summit Entertainment. The film was previously titled I’m With Cancer and Live With It.

Next month, Twilight director will present a director’s workshop while at South by Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas, where her latest endeavor Red Riding Hood will be screened.

Dakota Fanning signs on for ‘Mississippi Wild’

Dakota Fanning has a new project lined up. She’ll star in the film Mississippi Wild, set to film this spring.

The ‘Runaways’ actress will play the girlfriend of a teen (Ryan Donowho) who is forced to go on the run when he steals diamonds belonging to a local gangster in the indie thriller, according to Variety.
Mickey Rourke is being tipped for the role of the criminal while Forest Whittacker has reportedly been approached to take on the role of another gangster who is in turn chasing after Mickey’s character.
Jesse Bager will direct the movie from a script he has written while Shannon Makhanian and Ryan Johnson produce with Todd Slater set to executive produce.
Production is set to start in Atlanta on March 21.

The Improper is reporting that Robert Pattinson will be on-hand to present at the Oscars later this month, along with Water for Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon. It’s unknown how legit this report is, as it’s also rather gossip-y about the Rob/Kristen relationship. We’ll let you know once anything is confirmed/denied.

Rob will now apparently attend the star-studded bash with his “Water For Elephants” co-star Reese Witherspoon.
Reese and Rob are going to present an award together.

Taylor Lautner Teams Up With Michael Bay on Upcoming Project!

So is our Taylor Lautner attached to yet ANOTHER upcoming film? It would appear so. Here is what Deadline is reporting! Taylor is definitely on a hot streak!

My scoop today comes with a big TOLDJA! Back on January 11th, I reported that three top producers including Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes were circling Taylor Lautner to star in their movies for 2012 and beyond. Now Bay’s aggressive courting of tay-tay has paid off, and last night the two filmmakers sent out a script for auction to all the major studios. I’ve learned that already this morning studios have begun bidding on a Bay-Lautner project. Like them or not, they’re individually successfully. But the duo didn’t do a dog-and-pony show to accompany the presentation as so many producers, directors, and stars are these days. Still, both Bay and Lautner (who’s on a brief break from shootingBreaking Dawn Part 2) are in town and available if any of the majors want a face-to-face. Bay and Lautner are not discussing the script’s story, but insiders tell me “it’s Mr & Mrs. Smith meets Wanted”. WME reps Lautner and Bay, while CAA reps the screenwriter Jason Hall who was handpicked by the duo.
