Rob’s Interview with Glamour UK

Your character Jacob is a natural with animals but are you and did you have pets growing up?Source via Source
Rob: I just had a dog growing up so I don’t know if I’m a natural with anything. I like animals a lot. I’ve never really… I’m very trusting in them. I trust them more than I trust people. I think there is some kind of connection in that.
Reese got to go to circus school. Were you jealous and what circus trick would you learn if you could?
Rob: I’d love to learn how to juggle. I’m physically incapable of juggling. It’s very annoying. Circus school is tough. I mean she had to go there every day. And they’re really hard on the performers. I mean it’s like a bootcamp. I was really glad I didn’t have to do anything. I was like, I’m not a performer. I don’t know anything about the circus. My part doesn’t involve anything so it was great. I just got to hang out with animals for my part. It was very simple.
Was it surreal seeing yourself as an old man?
Rob: Yeah definitely. I’m curious as to whether that is what I’m going to look like. I love the fact that Hal…[stomach grumbles] my stomach will not shut up…that Hal is so in demand as an actor at 84 years old. It’s insane. It’s an incredible life.
Would you still like to be doing it then?
Rob: I don’t know. I’d love to be in demand for something. I just have a feeling that I’m going to be one of those crazy old people that not even their own family want to see.
We had the Royal Wedding this weekend. Did you celebrate it at all?
Rob: I was in Paris working and I was doing these interviews and the TV was behind the interviewer so I was watching it. I was surprised how interesting I thought it was. It was nice to see everyone look so happy in England. Because everyone normally looks so miserable walking down the street and you see everyone waving their flags. It looks very sweet.
You’re coming to the end of filming Twilight. Do you think you’ll hang out with the cast afterwards?
Rob: I really hope so. It’s such a big part of our lives. I get on with everyone really well. Literally everyone in the cast I’m great friends with. So I would hope so. I can’t imagine not doing that. I mean, especially in LA. I mean most of my closest friends in America are people I worked on Twilight with.
You’ve been voted Most Stylish Man 2011 by GLAMOUR readers. Do you see yourself as a style icon?
Rob: It’s funny because I think I do. But no one who knows me notices. There are a lot of different things that I do. I swear a lot of people repeat my little gimmicks. Or maybe I’m completely insane. I used to mis… [Rob suddenly stops] do up my shirt buttons wrong and I see a lot of people doing that now.

Is there anything more to Robert Pattinson than stellar genes and a good line in brooding? You bet, says Hermione Eyre
When I arrive at Fox studios in Los Angeles, the mid-morning sunshine is already crazy-bright. “Go straight ahead till you reach the doughnut,” says security guard, gesturing toward a 12ft sculpture honouring Homer Simpson. “And then keep going, past the Star Wars mural, till you get to a row of penguins. Opposite the panguis, there’s a hedge sculpted in the shape pf a violin. You should find Mr. Pattinson there.” This is the mad, make-believe world that Robert Pattinson now inhabits. He’s here doing last-minute voice dubbing, even though it’s Sunday and the studious are deserted, because he is currently Britains’s highest-paid actor (last year’s Sunday Times Rich List put the 24-years-old’s worth at £ 13 million) and his work is never done. He is a nice boy from leafy Barnes, west London, who became an international teen idol after his brooding performance in the scarily popular vampire saga Twilight (now a tetralogy). He is the Keanu Reeves of the Facebook generation; Leonardo DiCaprio for age of Twitter. He shaves his sdieburns or has a beer and thousands of fans comment about it. He has even acquired a slightly demeaning nickname: RPattz. But while his character Edward Cullen is doomed to stay 17 for ever, Pattinson is growing up and moving on.
No more blockbuster franchises: he is about to shoot Don DeLillo’s Cosmopolis, directed by auteur David Cronenberg (“The novel reads like an incredibly long poem,” says Pattinson enthusiastically. “The film’s going to be totaly an utterly out there”). He has also stepped into the role of leading man in two films this year, first opposite Reese Witherspoon in the circus epic Water for Elephants, then with Uma Thurman in the Gut de Maupassant adaptation Bel Ami. Older women, as he tells me, are nothing new to him: “Every girl I went out with in my teens was older than me. My first girlfriend was 26, I was 17. Women who were older always seemed more exciting.” Because they knew more? “I guess so. I used to think I was a bit of a bad-ass when I was younger. I liked that it annoyed people how much younger I was. I liked walking into a room with a woman and people looking at us and thinking: they do not look like together.”
If these women are well-dressed, I can see why observers might make that judgement. Today, Pattinson is wearing tatty vintage sunglasses, black sweatshirt, black T-shirt, black jeans and the unshaven, rumpled air of a man who has woken up to find that his car has already been waiting outside for some time. This happens to him a lot, I think. He dumps his cigarettes, laptop and keys on the table and sighs at his own laziness. “My ideal job would be one day a week. When I first started acting, I’d get one job a year that lasted three months, and then I’d do nothing the rest of the time but I’d have enough money to survive. I’d read all the papers every day, get in a lot of DVDs… That was great.” He breaks into a wide-cheekboned smile, eyes heavy-lidded, gentle and slightly feline; like James Dean, without the self-hatred.
He’s 24 now, but, perhaps ironically, given his vampiric alter-ego’s perpetual teenagedhood, seems younger. His face lights up when he sees his favourite lunch has been delivered to the studio: chicken kebab. “I’ve got simple tates.” He’s a sweet, goofy boy, quick to laugh and smile, though he doesn’t seem particularly happy. But he is, he says, more content than he used to be. He used to write music as a release (his compositions appeared on the Twilight soundtrack) but hasn’t felt the need for a while. “I have to be incredibly depressed to write songs and I’m not. What makes me want to write songs is when I wake up crying. I would have no idea why I was crying, but it made me sad for myself… ” And he bursts out laughing.
But the pressure of overnight, global success can’t be escaped. The swarm that follows him restricts his choices in many ways. “I’d really really love to do a play in London,” he says. “But I’d just be afraid it would turn into an ‘NSync concert. Or people would come along expecting it to be something like Twilight. From the little amount of theatre I’ve done, I know that usually you can feel a push from the audience, who have come along wanting the show to succeed. But when I go to premieres, it’s more like the crowd is pulling, really wanting something from you. I always feel completely drained afterwards. It would be very strange and exhausting to have that kind of experience every night on stage.”
Despite such fears, he denies that the adulation is really for him. He says he’s simply a cipher that makes the frenzy permissible. “It’s very clear that people have gone there for an excuse to go crazy. You can’t stand around in the street and go crazy but get together with your friends at a Twilight thing and you have an environment where you can.” This kind of modest thoughtfulness will probably save his sanity. A little vanity comes with the territory, though and Pattinson prepares for shirtless scenes by “going to the gym for four hours a day. I don’t eat at all expect for protein shakes. But I don’t understand how you could maintain that all your life. After the scene’s done, I don’t work out again. It’s a ridiculous idea that you’re not a proper actor unless you have a six-pack.”
Pattinson is currently working a six-day week on film projects and doesn’t have a social life, or a place of his own. “I came close to buying a house in Los Angeles, but 20 minutes from signing the contract I freaked out. So I don’t own a house or really have a home. It can drive you a bit crazy not having any kind of anchor. Hopefully it will settle down some time soon but for the next few years, I’m going to be filming all over the place. I thought I would get a dog. Then wherever the dog was would kind of be my home.”

Men’s Health: Taylor Lautner Gives Six Pack Advice!
Men’s Health talked to Taylor and got some advice on obtaining the amazing signature six-pack abs he has! Here is a portion of the article!

This year Twilight star Taylor Lautner will do more than just flex his new muscles when he appears alongside Sigourney Weaver, Alfred Molina and Jason Isaacs in the thriller Abduction. But right now he’s still best known for his performance as werewolf Jacob Black, as well as the shape he got himself into for the role. Lautner isn’t naturally big, but his career depended on him building brawn. Between the first two Twilight films, his character had to grow more powerful and the producers wanted to cast a new, bigger actor, with the requisite washboard stomach. His job was on the line and he needed to gain size – and a six-pack – fast. He succeeded, showing that even ‘hard gainers’ who build muscle slowly can reach their goals. Here’s how…Head HERE to read the entire article with all of Taylor’s tips!
Celebrate your inexperience – it’s your advantage
Lautner used to be a 178cm (5ft 10in), 63kg (10st) lightweight before his incredible physical transformation. But getting stacked isn’t just about your genes – it’s about application and determination, too. He didn’t achieve his new physique all by himself: he was trained by Jordan Yuam, a 20-year fitness industry veteran with an A-list clientele to match. “Inexperience works to your advantage,” says Yuam. “The less muscle you have to start with, the easier it is to gain mass quickly.”
Your strategy “If a beginner and an advanced weightlifter were to start training on the same programme, at the same time, the novice would gain almost twice as much muscle as the veteran lifter in the same time period,” says sports scientist and strength coach Brendan Chaplin. This is because your body tends to adapt and respond well to a completely new stimulus. And, the more your muscles are forced to adapt to a new routine, the more they’ll grow. “Eat right and follow a smart, strategic workout regimen,” says Yuam. “This will maximise your genetic potential so there’s no reason you can’t gain 15kg of muscle within a year.” It really is that easy.
Cut down on cardio
“I was exercising so hard that I began to lose weight,” says Lautner. For some this might sound like an ideal outcome, but not if you have trouble building muscle mass. When combined with weight training, cardio can sap strength and limit muscle growth, especially if you do your cardio for longer than 20 minutes before or after lifting, according to researchers at Stephen F Austin State University in Texas. Spending hours pounding the treadmill will force your body to use muscle as fuel, undoing all the great work you’ve just done in the weights room. Take a look at the slimline physique of your average marathon runner if you’re not convinced.
Your strategy Be careful not to overdo it. “If you’re trying to gain lean muscle mass, focus on weightlifting with the proper technique,” Yuam says. If you want to maintain your cardio quota then stick to high-intensity interval training, rather than long slogs on the treadmill. A study in the Journal of Exercise Physiology found doing 10 weeks of sprints boosts your lower body-strength by up to 10%. After your weights session, alternate between sprinting for 6 seconds and walking for 10 seconds. Do this for 10-15 minutes and you’ll be complementing your lifting, not undoing your hard work.

‘Breaking Dawn’ Stills In People Magazine!
Here are the photos from People.com of Bella and Edward playing chess and Jacob on his motorcyle!
The Twilight teens are finally growing up.
In the next installment of the saga, Breaking Dawn – Part 1, Edward and Bella (played by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) take their relationship to the next level.
“They make love for the first time, they get married and pregnant,” says director Bill Condon.
Much of the vampire honeymoon was shot just outside of the Brazilian town of Paraty. “There’s this incredibly sensual vibe down there,” says Condon.
While Jacob, the werewolf played by Taylor Lautner doesn’t get the girl in this one, he does manage to get over her, and in doing so “becomes a man,” says Condon. At least he gets to ride a cool motorcycle.

Jacob receives his invitation to the wedding. ”He’s still getting over losing out on Bella,” says Taylor Lautner. ”By the end he’s able to accept it and deal with it like a man.”
Here they are!! The Entertainment Weekly debuts the covers with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner!!
More after the break!
Fans have waited years to see Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) tie the knot, and the wedding scene, scheduled for the end of production on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, proved to be equally climactic for those involved. “It was one of the coolest things that I’ve done,” says Stewart. “There was a certain point when I walked on set, and I saw everyone from the entire cast sitting there in the pews, about to do their bit. And it was just so perfect for me in that moment. It was so emotional in such a real way. I literally felt like thanking them for coming.”[Source: EW and EWFB]
But filming wasn’t always quite so idyllic. As the stars and director tell EW, Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2 (in theaters November 18 and November 2012) involved a grueling, globe-trotting shoot, and scenes far darker, bloodier, and more polarizing than any in the franchise so far. If audiences haven’t matured with the Twilight books, they’re about to grow up fast. “We shot everything — whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth — as potent and powerful as it can be,” says director Bill Condon, who knew he was working within the constraints of a PG-13 rating. “It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe.” For her part, Stewart wishes the movie could have been even truer to the graphic nature of the book — not so much the honeymoon sequence (“It feels like a real love scene, not necessarily vampire-y, which is good”), but the brutal birth of the baby, Renesmee. “It’s funny because when [the PG-13 issue] comes up, everybody thinks it’s all about the sex,” she says. “The birth is really effective, and I’ve heard it really hits you in the face. But what it could have been? It could have been shocking and grotesque, because that’s how it was written in the book.” She sighs: “I would have loved to have been puking up blood.”
Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, says that even being a member of the wolf pack didn’t have its privileges. “Everybody is always complaining to me that I don’t have to wear the contacts, I don’t have to wear the white makeup or wear wigs and all that stuff. And I’m like, ‘I’m the one in the freezing rain and cold not wearing a shirt! I paid my dues in New Moon and Eclipse.’” And as for his plot arc in Part 2, which will involve falling for — or imprinting on — Renesmee? “There were many times I walked up to Stephenie [Meyer] and asked her, ‘What exactly is imprinting?’” says Lautner. “It’s still a very confusing thing for me, so don’t ask.”
