Ashley Greene Announces Mark Cosmetic’s Rock Your Style Challenge

New ‘Abduction’ still featuring Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins

‘Twilight’ and ‘Abduction’ Make CBS Fall Movie Preview List

After a summer of sequels, pre-boots and reboots, the fall movie season is shaping up to be an interesting one. With only a couple of sequels on the horizon, the run-up to Oscar season promises some fresh stories, well chosen adaptations of popular books, big name stars, timely political thrillers and, of course, some holiday cheer the whole family can enjoy.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the more entertaining films to look for.
Of course, the sequel teenage girls (and guys) cannot wait to sink their teeth into opens nationwide on Nov. 18. Summit Entertainment’s latest “Twilight” saga installment “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″ brings back favorite vampires and werewolves Edward (Robert Pattinson), Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and Bella (Kristen Stewart), who continue down a difficult path in pursuit of true love. This time director Bill Condon takes us on an adventure where the Quileute and Volturi close in on expecting parents Bella and Edward, whose unborn child poses a threat to both the vampire coven and the wolf pack.
And if you can’t wait to get your fix, Taylor Lautner fans can look out for him in a tale of international intrigue and espionage in “Abduction.” The Hollywood hottie not only exercises his muscles in this Lionsgate release, but displays some strong acting chops and performs all his own stunts to boot. Drooling teenage girls don’t have long to wait, the John Singleton directed thriller will hit theaters this September.

Abduction’ Miracle: Lionsgate to Release Early VOD on December 23

With major studios risking exhibitor revolt over earlier and earlier video-on-demand releases, it seems the smaller players have found a way to keep everyone happy: Release movies on VOD “semi-early,” taking care to honor the 90 day theatrical window that exhibitors desire.
Lionsgate is doing just that with “Abduction.” It will release the Taylor Lautner movie at a slightly premium VOD price for 10 days in late December before releasing it on DVD and Blu-ray.
By timing “Abduction’s” Dec. 23 VOD debut to the Christmas holidays and making the film available for just 10 days, the studio believes that it can exploit the number of teens out of school on holiday break.
It will also allow the company to make money off the PG-13 thriller, which opens in theaters on Sept. 23, without pushing it into a crowded Christmas disc market, where family titles and summer blockbusters tend to dominate disc sales. The studio believes that the short 10-day VOD window will not significantly cut into disc sales, given Lautner’s star appeal.
The plan comes with theater owner’s stamp of approval.
“On VOD experiments, we’ve consistently asked for two things: that theater owners be consulted and that any release to the home should respect the range of the existing release window,” John Fithian,  National Assn. of Theater Owners president and CEO, told TheWrap. “Lionsgate did both those things and did it right.”
Theater owners hope that Lionsgate’s efforts to keep the lines of communication open will inspire other studios.
“What a refreshing approach,” Gerry Lopez, AMC Theatres CEO and president, told TheWrap. “How they handled ‘Abduction’ sets the bar for others to follow. We’re happy to be included in the dialogue and look forward to the movie’s release.”
“Abduction” will become available on demand some 91 days after it premieres in theaters. And at $6.99, though higher than regular VOD, the cost to consumers is a lot cheaper than the $30 studios charge for the DirecTV effort.

‘Breaking Dawn’: What Do We Know

MSNBC Today Movies put together this list of what we know about the upcoming Breaking Dawn! Here is some of their article.
Wedding
The movie trailer is pretty cagey, but we definitely glean some details. The wedding invites are crisp and plain, but they don’t fall into the common Hollywood trick of forgetting the character’s middle names. It’s “Isabella Marie Swan” and “Edward Anthony Masen Cullen” who, together with their families, invite the guests to their August wedding.
Bella wears her long hair in a strikingly pretty updo or at least a twist, styled with help from Edward’s sisters, and crowns it with a diamond (what, like the Cullens would use rhinestones?) comb holding her veil. Not much of the dress can be seen, but it’s white or ivory and looks lovely and traditional. And that is one honking diamond ring — we’re talking Kim Kardashian size.
Bella’s dress is designed by Carolina Herrera, but once the movie’s out, it will be sold to mere humans by Alfred Angelo under a special Twilight Bridal label.
Stephenie Meyer says the old-fashioned dress should be simpler than the frillier Edwardian designs some may expect. “Elegant white satin, cut on the bias, with long sleeves,” the author revealed.
Facebook scam pretends to offer ‘Twilight’ tickets
Edward wears a white tie and tails.
Eleazar and Carmen, from the Denali clan of vamps, are front and center at the nuptials, just behind Carlisle and Esme.
The wedding is outdoors, featuring flowers everywhere and rose petals scattered on the aisle.
Happily ever after
The first movie goes through the wedding, honeymoon and birth, ending just before Bella’s life as a vampire really begins. The second film is more of an action movie as the family rushes to protect new member Renesmee, producer Godfrey told USA Today. The story also breaks from Bella’s point of view to follow Jacob through his own turmoil, just as the book did.

Kristen Stewart discusses her ‘Breaking Dawn’ Carolina Herrera wedding gown

Kristen Stewart reveals she loves her Bella Swan wedding gown that she wore in Breaking Dawn Part 1, which was designed by famed designer Carolina Herrera.
In what will be the third-most anticipated wedding of the year (sorry Bella, you come behind the Kates), Bella Swan will wear a gown designed by Carolina Herrera — and that’s pretty much all we know at this point. They are keeping the dress’ details locked up, and even the nosiest of fashion people haven’t gotten a glimpse of the sure-to-be-famous frock.
One thing we do know is that Kristen Stewart really, really loves the gown, and she’s no stranger to good design: she was featured alongside Jack and Laz of Proenza Schouler in Vogue as their muse. Although the crew kept the actress completely covered up between takes so that no photos would leak, she spilled a minimal amount of information about its design, revealing,”the dress was tight, it was so tight… I really liked it. It was very pretty.

BooBoo Stewart compares working on ‘Good Luck Charlie’ with ‘The Twilight Saga’

BooBoo Stewart will be guest-starring on Good Luck Charlie, playing a surf instructor. In a new interview with Celebuzz, BooBoo compares his role on the show with his role of Seth in The Twilight Saga.
“It is way different, totally different,” Boo Boo told us. “TV moves so fast and the lines change on you while you are filming. With a script, it is set. This is much different, but I love the energy. I don’t get to do a live audience this time but I am a little happy about that. I get extremely nervous.”
You wouldn’t have been able to tell! Stewart nailed his lines and the scene in only a couple takes.
Boo Boo says that his Twilight fans will see a different side to him than Seth Clearwater, his wolfpack character.
“Seth is way different than Kai because they live in two different places in the world,” said Boo Boo. “One likes to surf and I doubt Seth has ever surfed in his life. Both are happy characters though!”

Bill Condon: Twilight wolves and vamps are “noble monsters”

Bill Condon contributes to a new USA Today article about some of the “heroes” featured at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, and that they might not fit the stereotypical hero description.
The undead men of True Blood, as well as vampire Edward Cullen and lovelorn werewolf Jacob Black in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight book series, have become key heroes in pop culture, especially to women. Bill Condon, director of the final two Twilight movies,Breaking Dawn, Part I (out Nov. 18) and Part II (Nov. 16, 2012), sees Cullen and Black as part of a long tradition of rooting for the noble monster, dating to the originalFrankenstein film in 1931.
“We’ve always had a complicated relationship toward monsters. Don’t you feel like in every Dracula movie, you’re sort of wanting him to get away with it?” Condon says, laughing.
Even the creatures that used to be considered villains have been given a chance to tell their side of the story, Morrison says.
“Vampires are the good guys now — in fact, they’re not just good guys, they’re sex symbols. These things, you used to run away from them in the middle of the night. Now the girls are running to meet them.”

‘Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey Says He Can Beat Taylor Lautner in a Fight

Here is a portion of an interview with Tyler Posey where he specifically talks about Taylor!
The biggest change, though, has also posed the greatest challenge – creating a wolf with brooding sex appeal amid all that hair. ‘We didn’t want him to look like a puppy,’ says Davis. ‘I always say the other shows have werewolves you can pet, we have ones you can kiss. They’re sexy but could rip your throat out.’
So does that mean the (currently single) Posey could trounce his buff Twilight rival Taylor Lautner in a fight? ‘You know, Taylor’s a cool dude,’ says Posey gallantly. ‘I think he’s got me beat right now in the fitness region. But in a werewolf fight? He actually turns into a full-on wolf and I turn into this half-man, half-werewolf creature. I dunno –  I would have opposable thumbs, so maybe that would win, as he’s got paws. Maybe I could use them to gouge his eyes out.’

Judi Shekoni Interview with Creative Pop Culture Community

In a new interview featured at OneSmallSeed.net, writer AK Ahmed talked exclusively with Judi Shekoni about Breaking Dawn, in which she’ll play Zafrina, and her experiences on the set.
The anticipation for the latest installment of Twilight is high and it seems that part one of Breaking Dawn will definitely serve viewers with new characters to drool over. One such character is the overwhelmingly powerful and sexy vampire, Zafrina, whom is part of the Amazon Coven. Who better to play the role than British actress Judi Shekoni?
Incredibly talented, beautiful and passionate, it is her variously mysterious facets as an actress that makes Judi an astounding woman. She has appeared in various films and television shows includingThe King of QueensDamages and Eastenders. With the amazing help of Catherine Lyn Scott at London Flair PR, we grabbed the opportunity to bare our necks for this sultry actress – but had to settle for just an interview…
As an actress how does it feel to be in the final installment of Twilight?

“I feel so excited, I have been acting for a while and I honestly feel this is my favorite role so far. I have always had a love of vampires so this film has given me a change to explore them further. Its great to be part of something that is so popular right now, and it is amazing to be part of a cast that is so big and diverse. My character also is exciting to play – it is the first time I have ever played anyone with a special power!”

Time does indeed fly when it comes to the movie industry. It feels like a heartbeat ago when the books made worldwide impact and now we are all awaiting the final two-parts of Breaking Dawn.
Have you read the books before?

“Yes, I was on a cruise and my friend finished the first book and gave it to me to read .It took me about 30 pages and then I got sucked into Edwards and Bella’s love – the love they have is so deep and complex I literally couldn’t put it down, I then raced through the other books as quick as possible and was one of the people with tickets in advance to see the first movie. To now get the chance to be in the movie really is just an incredible adventure that one can only dream of.”

All the loyal Twilight fans will be introduced to Zafrina, the Amazonian vampire that plays a crucial role in helping the Cullens to achieve safety from the Volturi. For those of you that do not enjoy spoilers, I will omit the major plot of the movie. With the power to project powerful images, she will prove to be a very likable and strong character.

Chris Weitz appreciates the support from Kristen and Taylor

Did ‘New Moon’ bring out Chris Weitz’s inner teenage girl?

Chris Weitz talks about his “romantic” side coming out when he took on the job of directing New Moon. From NPR:
Making New Moon involved creating CGI animals and fight scenes and working with teen stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. It also involved learning something about himself, says Weitz.
“I realized that I’m a bit of a teenage girl myself,” he says. “I think I spent most of my late teens and 20s pining after people who were never going to come back. I remember explaining this to Stephanie Meyer and, maybe she didn’t believe me … but I’d read too many 19th century English novels and I was very, very romantic, so having the book — and having Kristen who’s an exceptional actor — and then having that melancholic tendency in myself, I think we were all OK.”

Cub The newest of our list is supercute!Played by actor Boo Boo Stewart, Seth Edward helps to protect Bella from Victoria and Riley in the battle of “Eclipse.”We love knowing that, despite being the same pack of wolves, Seth shows that also wants to be friends with the Cullens.

Open Road acquires US distribution rights for ‘The Host’

Pre-production is well under way for the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s non-Twilight book The Host.  Soairse Ronan has come on board to play the lead Melanie/Wanderer. And now the new company Open Road has bid to get distribution rights for the U.S.
Open Road, the upstart distribution company formed by theater chains AMC and Regal, is making its second big acquisition. Tom Ortenberg’s company is acquiring domestic distribution rights to The Host, the Andrew Niccol-directed adaptation of Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer’s novel. I’m told that the there were at least three other distributors trying to get this and that the deal will be a seven-figure minimum guarantee, a healthy P&A commitment, and gross for participants that include the author.

Peter Facinelli Talks ‘Nurse Jackie’ And His Character Dr.Cooper

Peter Facinelli recently spoke to The Sacramento Bee and discussed his Nurse Jackie character Dr. Cooper :
Q. This year was a rough one for Coop: He had to endure the pain of a bunion and the breakup of his lesbian parents. Have you created your own back story for him?
A. Definitely. I think that all of his current problems stem from the emotional baggage of his childhood. And I don’t think his issues stem from his parents being lesbians – I think it’s how they were as moms. He was coddled, and his upbringing has had an effect on him. He was unpopular, and he didn’t understand why. I imagine it as if he was a puppy in a room full of people who don’t like dogs. I think as a kid he was jumping all over people and was always getting kicked away. Now he’s a 12-year-old boy trapped in a 30-year-old body. That’s why I have so much sympathy for him. He doesn’t do anything out of malice. It’s just that he is completely self-absorbed and unaware.
Q. As someone who’s appeared in films, is it fun to play a TV character who doesn’t have a beginning and an end?
A. Yeah, it’s different. In television you don’t really know where you’re going to be in Episode 7. It keeps it fresh in the sense that you only know what your character is going to do that week, and you’re not exactly sure how it will develop. It’s kind of fun for me because sometimes I’ll pick the writer’s brain and what’s going on with Coop for the season and they have a rough idea. They don’t really like to tell us, but sometimes they’ll spill some info – it’s almost like going to a medium and they’re telling you your future. But things can change. They’ll throw you a curveball. It keeps you on your toes.
Q. What do you hope the writers have in store for Dr. Coop when “Nurse Jackie” returns for a fourth season?
A. I’ve been begging them for a while to give him a mustache. Hopefully, the first episode he’ll just walk in with a mustache. Bam!

Twilight cast films among IndieWIRE’s Fall Festival Wishlist

IndieWIRE has createded their Fall Festival Wishlist and several projects from the Twilight cast make an appearance.
50/50,” directed by Jonathan Levine
Summit has been screening this dramedy for press, and it’s all but assured it’s a build-up to a Toronto debut (its late September release date adds to that theory). Originally titled “I’m With Cancer” (and then “Live With It”), “50/50” stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen and is loosely based on the real-life story of screenwriter Will Reiser. It follows Adam (Gordon-Levitt), a young man diagnosed with cancer and given the titular chances of living. Anna Kendrick (as Adam’s doctor), Bryce Dallas Howard (as his girlfriend) and Anjelica Huston (as his mother, and said to be fantastic) co-star, and the film could end up a surprise fixture in Oscar season, where both Gordon-Levitt and Rogen have yet to make a significant appearance. [Peter Knegt]
Butter,” directed by Jim Field Smith
First-time screenwriter Jason A. Micallef and director Jim Field Smith (“She’s Out Of Your League”) recently completed “Butter,” a quirky comedy with sleeper gold written all over it. Set in the Midwest, a ‘tween somehow discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself the arch nemesis of a local mom in their town’s annual competition. Filled out with a funny, A-list cast led by Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner, “Butter” just might be churned out in time for fall festivals. [Austin Dale]
On The Road, directed by Walter Salles
There has been speculation that Walter Salles would ready his Jack Kerouac adaptation for Venice or Toronto; it’s been in post since December. But whenever it rears its head, it’s sure to spark serious interest from fans of Kerouac’s iconic novel, particularly due to its substantial cast in Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Garrett Hedlund and Steve Buscemi. For Salles’ sake, let’s just hope it ups the ante from his previous English-language effort, Jennifer Connelly horror flick “Dark Water.”  [Peter Knegt]
Young Adult,” directed by Jason Reitman
Jason Reitman films premiere at Toronto. That’s just the way it goes and it’s unlikely to be any different for “Young Adult,” which reteams him with “Juno” screenwriter Diablo Cody. The film stars Charlize Theron as Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson). When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn’t quite gotten over high school, either. Come September, we’ll see if Reitman’s fourth film has what it takes to his third consecutive best picture nominee. [Peter Knegt]

Fashion expert George Katsiopoulos on Kristen and Taylor’s styles

Fashion Police‘s George Katsiopoulos recently dished on fashion from the MTV Movie Awards, and specifically discussed Kristen Stewart’s style, as well as Taylor vs. Edward.
What do you think of Kristen Stewart wearing couture dresses with converse shoes?
I love Kristen. I have styled her a couple times and I think she is really cool and smart. She is a bad ass. Although I think there are other options.
Style wise, are you team Edward or Team Jacob?
I think Taylor has been looking really good. He wore something I would wear to the MTV Movie Awards.

Elizabeth Reaser talks about playing moms on film

Elizabeth Reaser isn’t a mom, but she sure is playing a lot of them on screen these days. In fact, she is barely even old enough to be playing the mom of teens. In a new interview about her new film The Art of Getting By, she talked a bit about Twilight and playing Mama Cullen.
[Referring to on-screen daughter Emma Roberts] Did she pepper you with Twilight questions?
Yes! She’s a bit of a Twihard. I remember she was Team Jacob at one point. She definitely played it cool, though. Those movies, I’m always surprised when older kids are obsessed with them. You’d think they’d be too-cool-for-school for them. But the films seem to capture all ages. I’ve met a lot of Twi-Moms. I get a little uncomfortable when they start talking about Taylor Lautner’s body, because I’m like, “He’s a baby! Don’t talk about him like that!” But the movies definitely capture the imagination of even older women. I’m 35, so I guess I would be a Twi-Mom.
You’re too young to be playing all these moms!
Bless you! And I’m not a mom myself. People who don’t know me see me as motherly, for some reason. People who know me, they think it’s really weird that I’m playing the mom.
