'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' sneak peek screencap
In the Wal-Mart "Ultimate Fan Edition" of the New Moon DVD, an exclusive sneak peek of Eclipse was offered (a portion of which was seen earlier in the month), and a few new quotes and interview snippets were shown as well as a clip from the film (which was previewed in part on the first official trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse).
In part of the new behind-the-scenes footage, Carlisle shares a bit of knowledge with his trainees. "Our kind is never more physically power than our first several months of this life." A bit more of the fight training sequences seen in the earlier sneak peek is seen here.
After showing some of the filming in action, a few important faces go onto talk about Eclipse's director David Slade.
"David's great, you know," Stephenie Meyer says in the feature. Michael Welch calls him "funny" while Charlie Bewley says "the guy's hilarious."
Stephenie Meyer goes on to reflect about the story in Eclipse, saying that it's about "fantasy love and reality love."
Finally, the Eclipse sneak peek that is revealed by this feature is a scene of Bella and Edward in the bed discussing her mortality.
“I have to figure out what to tell people . . . why I won’t be home for Christmases, why I won’t visit, why they’ll never see me again,” Bella says.
“After a few decades, everyone you know will be dead, so problem solved,” Edward replies.
“Why are you so against me becoming like you?” she asks.
“I’ve told you,” he answers.
“Be honest with me. There’s more.”
“I know the consequences of the choice you’re making. I’ve lived through it. And to let you suffer that . . You believe I have a soul, and I don’t. But to risk yours, just for the sake of never having to lose you, that’s the most selfish thing I’ll ever do.”
One commentator to the last post pinpointed the direct quote from which Edward's words are drawn, and it is as follows: "It gets easier. After a few decades, everyone you know is dead. Problem solved," by Edward Cullen on Page 226.The seven minute sneak peek is posted over at Twilight Source if you'd like to check it out!
