Check out more below:
You can read more about the awards here and you can check out the official site and vote here.“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and its principal actors swept nominations for the U.K.-based National Movie Awards. The awards give accolades in only six categories: Breakthrough Movie, Performance of the Year (which is split into best male and best female performance), Most Anticipated Movie of the Summer, and Best Movies in the Action/Thriller, Family and Fantasy genres. Though “New Moon” was not shortlisted for the Action/Thriller or Breakthrough categories, it received solid nominations in three others: the feature was nominated for Best Fantasy; Robert, Taylor, and Kristen each got nods for Performance of the Year; and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” will contend for Most Anticipated Movie of the Summer.
The formal (if not patriotic) name of the awards notwithstanding, winners are decided by public vote—and contributions aren’t limited to moviephiles living in the U.K.. Between today and April 30th, any fan may mail in a ballot or vote online, though certain special prizes (such as the red carpet VIP sweepstakes) are open to U.K. nationals only.
