Fanning noted that the popularity of the series was what drew her to the role, even as small a role as hers happens to be, because it's exciting and one of a kind.
In the interview, Fanning also got the opportunity to discuss her loss at last night's MTV Movie Awards (to co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson) for "Best Kiss."
She was nominated (alongside Stewart) for her work in The Runaways, but ultimately New Moon won on that round too.
Finally, Fanning talked about her plans for college and keeping a rather normal life, though she did conclude that the acting business - as veteran as she already is - is where her future resides.
