Taylor Lautner turned down X-Men

There was a rumor a couple of weeks ago that Taylor Lautner was up for a role in X-Men: First Class.  It turns out the reason that Taylor was not cast was because he was too busy! Director Bryan Singer says they wanted him in the film.

Taylor Lautner has turned down a part in X-Men: First Class.
Despite being offered a prominent role by X-Men producer Bryan Singer, the Twilight hunk has been forced to decline the part due to other work commitments.
Singer explained: “I wanted Taylor to do it, I really did. He’s doing a movie in Pittsburgh called Abduction, and then he’s got the next Twilight movie.”
He added: “We talked about it a lot. He is a friend. And I really wanted to make it work. It just doesn’t look like it’s possible to do it.”
Having shot to fame in the Twilight Saga, Lautner also recently revealed that it is not just teenage girls who are huge fans of his.
