The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' star Xavier Samuel denies rock band rumors

A few days ago, a strange rumor started up about The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Xavier Samuel and an Australian rock band called Degrees of Freedom.
Monsters and Critics posted an article detailing an account of the supposed band's former guitar player who said, Xavier Samuel "ditched them to seek fame as a movie star."
Of course, the statement and article themselves seemed like a ploy at fame, and in a new interview with USA Today, Xavier Samuel referred to the story as "[c]ompletely untrue."
Rather, he does join his fellow Eclipse castmates in the musically gifted arena (as reported by Entertainment Today), but as USA Today reports, he has no "burning ambition to be a rock star or anything."
