Drama Surrounding Taylor Lautner & the Township Supervisor

Taylor Lautner is currently in Pittsburgh filming his new movie Abduction.  What is supposed to be a drama free environment, filled with filming, signing autographs, posing for pictures. Has now created a stir, as Taylor has been drug into controversy that had already surrounded the PA town of Forward Township -
Long before actor Taylor Lautner showed up in Forward Township to film the new movie “Abduction,” friction existed between the Police Department and a township supervisor. But the bad blood grew worse when Forward Township Supervisor Tom DeRosa was scolded for trying to take a picture of Lautner, and police refused to help him take action against the production crew.”We have a police force right now that is dysfunctional,” DeRosa told Channel 4 Action News’ Jim Parsons.
DeRosa said he tried last month to snap a photo of Lautner for his 13-year-old daughter.

“He said, ‘You took a picture this morning of my son,’” DeRosa said.”This was Taylor Lautner’s father?” Parsons asked.”His father,” DeRosa said. “I said, ‘Oh, bud, I didn’t know that.’ I said, ‘I didn’t know I couldn’t take a picture.’ … He said, ‘I want you to leave.’ I’m in the township that I basically oversee, they’re strangers from California, interrupt our traffic, interrupt our people, were rude as you could get, and they tell me to leave.”
DeRosa told Parsons that he threatened to tow the film crew’s vehicles out of a municipal park unless they paid a $500 fee to the township.Forward Township police Officer Jason Miller said that when officers refused to help DeRosa, he used cars from his private dealership.”In essence, they blocked that park in so that company could not move their property until they paid money to the township,” said Miller, who called it “extortion.”
