FILMING of the final installment of the Twilight movies in Rio de Janeiro has led to protests by locals who are fed up with the inconvenience caused by the film, local media reported yesterday.Source
Some residents in the central Lapa district, where scenes from Twilight 4: Breaking Dawn are being filmed, set fire to a crew’s portable toilet Sunday and demonstrated over not being able to easily access their homes.
Tough security measures were put up around the production set after an incident in August, when cast and crew from the movie found themselves near a deadly shootout between criminals and police in the hotel where they were staying.
Filming of the finale of Twilight, starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, was estimated to bring about $1 million to Rio’s economy.

Some Rio residents not happy about ‘Breaking Dawn’ filming
While Rio Filme rallied for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn to film in Brazil, boosting local economy, it seems some locals in Rio de Janeiro are not happy about the production. They’ve reportedly gone as far as setting fire to a portable toilet used by the film’s crew.
