MTV To Live Stream The Eclipse Premiere Red Carpet!
MTV and Hollywood Crush has announced that they will have a Live Stream of the red carpet for the Eclipse Premiere on June 24 -
"Hollywood Crush and MTV.com will be providing an “Eclipse” premiere LIVE STREAM from the red carpet at the Nokia Theater on that hotly anticipated Thursday night starting at 6:30p.m. PST (June 24 is only nine days away!). With MTV New’s Josh Horowitz — and an accompanying camera crew — on a special platform interviewing all the famous faces as they go by, you’ll be able to watch all the action and fashion as it happens. Bryce Dallas Howard Interviews Xavier Samuel In Interview Magazine!
We previously posted Xavier Samuel (aka Riley) was featured as one of the Interview magazine’s summer’s leading men. Xavier was interviewed by Bryce Dallas Howard (aka Victoria) in the recent issue of Interview magazine….with photos of Xavier!
"The situation, though, is not likely to improve this summer with the arrival in June of the world-engulfing franchise’s third installment, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse—and 26-year-old Australia-born actor Xavier Samuel, the latest good-looking young man to appear on the Twilight scene. In Eclipse, erstwhile love-triangle mates Edward (Robert Pattinson), Jacob (Taylor Lautner), and the object of their mutual affection, the irresistibly over-it Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) confront a bloodthirsty army of murderous “newborn” vampires created by witchy redhead Victoria (played in Eclipse by Bryce Dallas Howard, who replaces Rachelle Lefevre). Samuel plays Riley, Victoria’s lead newbie and main pinch, who aids the vampiress in her attempt to once and for all vanquish the holy trinity. “I initially saw a Quicktime movie of Xavier auditioning for Riley and immediately knew he had something,” says David Slade, who directed Eclipse. “It was that intangible something that you can’t quite describe but that you know is worth watching.” Indeed, Samuel has already become a bit of a thing among Twilight fans (who are peerless when it comes to creating things), inspiring all manner of tortured Internet-discussion-board threads. “I will forever be Team Edward in my heart. . . . Xavier [Riley] just confuses the issue a little,” wrote one blogger in August, wrestling with the 21st century’s great postmodern teen-worship dilemma: In a world where one is forced to choose between evilness and hotness, can any sort of moral framework ever exist?
In addition to Eclipse, Samuel—a veteran of a handful of indies down under—recently completed work on Roland Emmerich’s forthcoming political thriller, Anonymous. His Eclipse co-star, Howard, reconnected with the actor, who was back home in Australia, visiting family and preparing for the deluge.
BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD: So now that you’re almost on the other side with Eclipse, how has everything been for you? It’s all been a little wild, right?Go to Interview Magazine to read the entire interview!
XAVIER SAMUEL: Yeah, it has. It’s kind of like being struck by lightning in a way, because it all seems so improbable.
HOWARD: Eclipse is your first American film.
SAMUEL: It is. I’ve been doing American auditions for a while, and it always felt sort of like sending these audition tapes off into the ether. So just hearing anything back from anyone was kind of startling.
HOWARD: When we were shooting Eclipse, it was amazing for me to see how the girls all went berserk over you. These girls were totally losing their minds—and much like everyone else in the cast who experiences those sorts of things, you dealt with it really graciously and wonderfully. Were you at all startled by that?
SAMUEL: I mean, it’s kind of bizarre, isn’t it? Having that kind of attention. I’m not under the microscope in the same fashion that a lot of the other cast members are, so I think I can slide under the radar a little bit more, but getting any attention at all is completely new for me.
HOWARD: Well, it’s been interesting to see how these young women have responded to you and your hair and your accent.
SAMUEL: My hair and my accent are sort of my main assets."

Kristen Stewart contemplates the Breaking Dawn split
In a new interview with the Associated Press, Kristen Stewart declares she knows exactly where to split Breaking Dawn for parts 1 and 2 of the movie:
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The stars of “Twilight” are already looking forward to the final two installments in the vampire franchise.
Author Stephenie Meyer’s fourth and final “Twilight” book, “Breaking Dawn,” is splitting into two parts, and while scripts are still being written, star Kristen Stewart says she knows exactly where the fourth movie should end: With Bella having just given birth and Edward being forced to change her into a vampire to save her life.
“I feel like it’s so obvious where you break it up. It’s as soon as she turns,” Stewart told AP Television at a weekend publicity event for the third “Twilight” film, “Eclipse,” opening June 30. “Gosh, you open your eyes to this different world, right? That would be amazing.”
Stewart said she’s looking forward to her character’s development in the final two films, the first of which is set for release Nov. 18, 2011.
“It’s such a crazy concept though,” she said. “I’m going to be playing a wife and a mother and a vampire. I haven’t read the scripts … but I don’t see where else it could split other than when she turns. … I’m really curious as to what I’m going to be doing in the next six months.”
Co-star Taylor Lautner said he approved of Stewart’s idea, and praised the decision by film distributor Summit Entertainment to break up the last book.
“There’s so much to cover,” he said. “Because you’ve got to deal with the marriage, you’ve got to deal with the kid. I mean, maybe the split of the wolfpack, because that’s very important as well. But it’ll be interesting. Wherever it splits, whatever happens, I’m trusting (director) Bill Condon, because he’s
extremely talented.”
Condon, who directed “Dreamgirls” and “Kinsey,” will direct both films.
Stewart said she actually can’t wait for the franchise that made her a star — and a paparazzi target — to come to its conclusion.
“Gosh I mean come on, get on with it definitely,” she said. “The feeling that I get before and during working on a new movie is you want the story to be told so bad because you’re worried that it’s not going to be right and get out. I’m so concerned with getting every scene right. This story is constantly weighing on me because it’s not done. So I can’t wait to finish it.”
Yahoo’s ‘Get to know Bree Tanner’
Yahoo movies has a brand new interview and featurette to introduce Eclipse star Jodelle Ferland who will be playing Bree Tanner in Eclipse. Quoted in the article, Stephenie Meyer says this about the 15-year-old actress.
Ferland also gives us a little more insight into her character of Bree Tanner, saying:

She brings such a vulnerability, and she really understands the backstory for Bree that’s not actually in ‘Eclipse.’ She gets the vulnerability.”According to Yahoo Movies, Stephenie Meyer even gave Jodelle Ferland a copy of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner before it was even released to the public that the author was writing it! Talk about a lucky girl.
Ferland also gives us a little more insight into her character of Bree Tanner, saying:

In the feature, director David Slade explains why this young guy from Sydney, Australia was asked to audition in Vancouver.
"I initially saw a Quicktime movie of Xavier auditioning for Riley and immediately knew he had something," he explained. "It was that intangible something that you can’t quite describe but that you know is worth watching."
It's a good thing Slade chose to pursue that "intangible something" because not only is Xavier Samuel a great actor for the part, but he is also quite the interesting person.
About his acquisition of the role as "Riley Biers" for Eclipse, Samuel said to Howard, "A lot of the roles I’ve played in Australia have been kind of introspective boy-next-door things, so it was juicy to get to play a villain who’s being manipulated in this bloody Macbeth scenario. But it’s also kind of intimidating, in a way, to step onto a big set like that for the first time. There was no real frame of reference for me, because most of the films I’ve been involved with in Australia have been smaller in scale."

"Things get pared down,” Peter Facinelli said, but “what’s great is, what’s left is the essence of it, even though it’s pared down you get it, and you get the vampire speed and animalistic quality that we have.”
Ellwood also asked Reed about one of the "theatrical" moments from her backstory portion of the film, and she revealed that doing the backstory was key to her enjoyment of filming Eclipse.
"I had a blast filming the whole flashback sequence because I really had a chance to work one-on-one with David, and I needed that . . . It was a lot of fun," Nikki Reed said.
The three also revealed that there were quite a lot of injuries on the set, including (one you already knew) Jackson Rathbone's concussion, Bryce Dallas Howard's dislocated wrist, and both Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Reaser's constant need for ice packs.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' soundtrack hits number two on Billboard Top 200
'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' OST - Summit Ent./Atlantic Records
Reports Billboard, "Well, Gleeks rejoice! The 'Journey to Regionals' EP debuts at No. 1 with 152,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan, besting the 'Eclipse' album at No. 2 with 144,000."
Predictions which vetted Eclipse for number one estimated that it would earn "possibly as much as 140,000 to 160,000 copies sold," so these numbers fall right in line with expectations.
The Glee soundtrack wasn't originally considered the Eclipse soundtrack's biggest contender, but instead folks thought that Christina Aguilera's album would be the biggest competition.
Last year with The Twilight Saga: New Moon's OST, it debuted at the number two spot as well against Michael Buble but went on to take number one the following week and become certified platinum (speaking of which, you should check out the Hurricane Bells' picture of the platinum record). While Billboard's article predicts Drake's release will hit next week's charts heavily, perhaps history will repeat itself and we'll see Eclipse at number one then.
Melissa Rosenberg says 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' birth sequences to be left to Bill Condon

The fandom remains split on the issue as to how the films should parlay that sequence, and Melissa Rosenberg (screenwriter for the Twilight Saga films) seems to feel the same way.
In a recent interview with MTV, Rosenberg talked about how she plans to handle the birth of Renesmee in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn . . . leave it up to director Bill Condon.
"That's one of those things [where] I kind of say [and] make a few sort of general suggestions on the page and say, 'Go! Go, Bill! Do it!"

When Wyck Godfrey, producer, last talked about it, he suggested the same: "So the conversations we've had with Bill, is that we'll try to do something similar here; you're with Bella's perspective and her point of view of what's taking place in the rush around her, as she's in intense pain. Not so focused, objectively, on her body and his body and that. So I think it'll be something like that, in terms of trying to make the audience experience and feel the confusion, almost, of what's happening to her."

Robert Pattinson appears on 'Tonight Show' to promote 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'
Leno noted that Twilight fans had been camped out to join the show's audience for days, and among those present to watch were Robert Pattinson's parents - who, apparently, Jay Leno had a lot in common with. Pattinson also took time to share some of the interesting letters he receives from his father via e-mail.
Pattinson went on to talk about Twilight fans' enthusiasm for the series, saying that he is surprised how long the series' hype has lasted . . . and how this affects his promotional duties for the Saga.
"Yeah, I’m surprised it’s lasted so long. It’s funny, I’ve been doing promotions for the last four days . . . For the first one, it’s easy, you say ‘Oh, it’s the biggest thing ever,’ and for the second one, you say ‘It’s even bigger than the first one,’ and for the third one you kind of say ‘It’s even bigger than the second and the first one.’”
Pattinson also stuck around for Emma Roberts' interview with Jay Leno, and when she stated that she was "Team Jacob," Pattinson joked, "You've just revealed yourself to have absolutely no taste."
Roberts, in turn, asked Leno whether she had to sit next to him . . . This had some fans a bit upset, to say the least.
