Ever since the Twilight franchise began with Robert Pattinson as "Edward Cullen," that Harry Potter cast overlap was made present. Pattinson, you well know, appeared in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire (and briefly in Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix) before becoming a part of the Twilight saga. So at the Twilight film series' inception, it was akin to the Harry Potter cast via this history.
Then, last year, it was announced that Jamie Campbell Bower (who portrayed "Caius" in The Twilight Saga: New Moon) was joining the cast for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II as "Gellert Grendelwald." That made for the second Twilight-Harry Potter cast connection.
Now, a third has presented itself, albeit in a slightly different form than the others.
You already know that Ashley Greene has just begun filming The Apparition, a project she's headlining and has been very openly excited about. Just recently, it was announced that Harry Potter long-timer Tom Felton (who portrays "Draco Malfoy" in the Harry Potter film series) has joined the cast for The Apprarition. So, yet again, a Twilight star and a Harry Potter star will be co-stars. Nice, huh?
Oddly enough, Felton happened to be one of those who was favored by many fans to receive the part in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse of "Riley" (a part later given to Xavier Samuel, of course), and he was featured in at least one fanmade poster for the film.
