Stephenie Meyer's 'Bree Tanner' comes out tomorrow, sneak peek on the way, malware warning issued

'Bree Tanner' by Stephenie Meyer - Hachette Books
Stephenie Meyer's newest Twilight series book, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella, is due in stores tomorrow (and online on June 7th at BreeTanner.com), and an exclusive new clip of the book is due today.
More details on the coming section can be found here, and you can also find out more details on Borders' signed bookplate giveaway promotion here.
Also, you might want to check out this cute story about how the U.K. is ringing in the release of this book.
In the meantime, a malware warning has been issued in relation to this book release by PC Tools.
"As the much anticipated novella hits, fans need to be aware of the harmful malware and viruses found on suspicious e-book download sites and 'poisoned pdfs.' The growth of e-books usage has spawned increased cybercriminal activities from computers to mobile devices and e-readers," a representative from PC Tools warns. "PC Tools predicts that once the novella is available, cybercriminals will distribute it through Twilight fan sites and searches as a “Poisoned PDF.” They will exploit the online searches to find ways to infect computers with malware and new threats. Eager fans searching for early sneak peeks will also be targeted. Cybercriminals are leveraging the viral nature of PDFs by inserting malware into a PDF’s Java Script. As Java Scripting makes PDF documents more engaging, it provides cybercriminals access into hacking your computer. Symantec recently reported that Poison PDF attacks skyrocketed in 2009 to represent 49 percent of web-based attacks. Security software companies, like PC Tools, combat the malware and threats consumers face each day. Statistics show that there are 30 – 50k new threats each day. Consumers need to run the latest security software to protect their computers and mobile devices."
So beware and just use the legitimate tools provided by BreeTanner.com.
