New Interview: Kellan Lutz Talks Breaking Dawn Birth Scene!

E!Online has a new interview with Breaking Dawn Vampire Kellan Lutz (aka Emmett Cullen). In the interview Kellan discussed his hopes for Emmett during the Breaking Dawn birth scene, and what his take is on the scene thus far (obviously based off of the script) -

As for that much anticipated, hard-to-imagine birthing scene…Lutz cracked, “I think they should show it and have Emmett in the background laughing.”
Joking aside, Lutz says he knows what director Bill Condon has planned for the potentially gory sequence. “I love the way that they’re showing it,” he said. “I really thought that was going to be really a tough thing to show.”

Breaking Dawn Casting News: Maggie Grace Cast As Irina!

Deadline.com is reporting that actress Maggie Grace (best known for her role as Shannon from the hit TV series Lost) has been cast as Breaking Dawn Vampire, Irina, of the Denali Coven -

Maggie Grace will play a new vampire threat to Kristen Stewart’s Bella in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Grace, who played Liam Neeson’s in-distress daughter in Taken, will play the role of Irina in the final installments of the Stephenie Meyer novel, which director Bill Condon is directing in two separate films. Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events. The first of two pictures will be released by Summit Entertainment on November 18, 2011, followed by the finale on November 16, 2012.

Edward Cullen Reported To Be Most Profitable Film Character of 2010

Digital Spy reports the following:

Some 32% of the licensing professionals felt that Twilight vampire Edward Cullen, played by British actor Robert Pattinson, was the most profitable film character of 2010, followed by Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear (27%) and Harry Potter (18%).

In other Showtime scheduling news, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” will have its cable television premiere on Saturday, January 8. The second “Twilight” film took in nearly $710 million at the worldwide box office after its 2009 release.
