Ashley Greene returns as spokesperson for DonateMyDress.org

TWILIGHT STAR ASHLEY GREENE RETURNS AS OFFICIAL CELEBRITY
SPOKESPERSON OF HEARST MAGAZINES’ DONATEMYDRESS.ORG
Join the “Twitterview” with Ashley Greene on Wednesday, March 23

New York, NY (March 22, 2011) ― Hearst Magazines Digital Media today announced that Twilight star Ashley Greene will return as the official celebrity spokesperson of DonateMyDress.org, the first national campaign designed to encourage girls around the country to donate their prom and special occasion dresses to girls in need.  Greene previously served as spokesperson in 2009 and 2010.  In celebration of her continuing role with the organization, Greene will conduct a live Twitterview with fans on March 23, 2011, from 4:30-4:45pm EST on @donatemydress.  Girls can tweet their questions to the star about prom–dressing for the big night, makeup and accessory tips, friend and date dilemmas, and Ashley Greene’s own prom experiences–as well as Greene’s current and film projects, and she will answer them in real time.  The full Twitterview will be posted on DonateMyDress.org the following week.
“In high school, I had to work several jobs to save enough to buy a prom dress,” said Greene.  “It was so worth it: I had a blast at prom!  Every girl should have the chance to have that experience!  So I was thrilled when DonateMyDress asked for my help.  The charity’s Web site helps you find more than 100 chapters all over the US where you can give pre-worn gowns to girls who can’t afford them.  I’ve donated dresses that I’ve worn on the red carpet—one of them was to a girl whose parents lost their jobs and her family was living in a friend’s garage.  It was such a humbling moment.  It made me realize how many people have been hit by the recession and how much we can help.”
For prom season 2011, Ashley Greene is donating a white Lela Rose dress to DonateMyDress.org that she wore on the red carpet at a recent charity event.   The dress will be given to a deserving girl this spring ensuring that her prom will be truly memorable and proving how easy it is to help other girls in need.
“We’re thrilled that Ashley will be joining us once again to help spread the word about DonateMyDress.org and the important services its volunteer-run chapters provide to deserving girls across the United States.  She is an influential yet relatable role model who is using her star status to send the message that it’s fashionable to care about others,” said Julie Hochheiser, senior web editor, Hearst Teen Network.  “We know that Ashley’s fans will be excited to ask her their prom questions during the March 23rd Twitterview, and that she will truly make one lucky girl’s prom dreams come true by donating her stunning Lela Rose dress.”
Launched in 2007, DonateMyDress.org is now more critical than ever.  According to a 2011 Hearst Teen Prom survey on prom expenses, 64% of girls responding said they are worried that they will not have enough money for their dream prom.  60% of respondents said that that the perfect prom dress is the one thing they would never compromise on in order to save money.
DonateMyDress.org is the first national campaign designed to encourage girls around the country to donate their prom and special occasion dresses to girls who cannot afford to finance the costly experience of going to their prom, Sweet 16, QuinceaƱera or formal on their own.  DonateMyDress.org is part of the Hearst Teen Network, which includes Cosmogirl.com, Seventeen.com, MisQuinceMag.com, MyPromStyle.com, eCRUSH.com and eSPIN.com.  With 1.4 million monthly unique visitors, the Hearst Teen Network is one of the top 10 ranked teen networks online, according to ComScore Media Metrix.
The site features a directory of more than 100 local dress drive organizations across the U.S. enabling girls to easily find out where in their local markets they can donate a dress or receive one.  In addition, DonateMyDress.org features information on upcoming local events, a photo gallery of real girls donating and receiving dresses, as well as links to content on prom and quinceaƱera planning, hair and makeup tips, and other worthy causes.  A number of young celebrities have been involved with DonateMyDress.org, including Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Nikki Blonsky and Brittany Snow, all of whom have donated their own dresses to the cause.

It’s That Time Of Year Again… MTV Movie Awards Time!

Eclipse rk eclipse kiss Its That Time Of Year Again... MTV Movie Awards Time! awards MTV announces voting and the twihards come out in force to make sure that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart get Best Kiss and as many awards for the latest Twi-Film. This year its Eclipse that is up for many awards!
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s did-they-didn’t-they MTV Movie Awards kiss last year may have ranked among our favorite MTV memories of Rob, but if you ask me, the “Twilight” twosome could do it better. (Exhibit A: Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ acrobatic acceptance speech, which still gets me hot and bothered.) Will the third time be the charm for Robsten? Help us find out by nominating them for a Best Kiss golden popcorn at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards!
Yep, it’s that time of year again! Voting begins today in 13 categories, including Best Movie, Best Fight, Best Badass Star and the brand-new Best Line From A Movie (“Release the Kraken.” “I’m 6’5″, 220 pounds and there are two of me.”)
Browse all the nomination categories and cast your vote at MovieAwards.MTV.com. Voting is open now until Tuesday, April 5. The victors will proceed to the final round of voting, which takes place May 3 through June 4. And, of course, the winners will be announced at the 20th annual Movie Awards, airing live on Sunday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET.
So here’s how things work:
The power of the Golden Popcorn is once again yours! Starting today, we’re asking you to cast your votes and select the nominees for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in 13 categories ranging from the familiar (Best Movie, Best Kiss) to the brand-new (Best Line from a Movie).
Can “Eclipse” reprise the success of “Twilight” (seven nods) and “New Moon” (five nods) before it? Will Biggest Badass star go to Robert Downey Jr.’s sardonic, super-suited hero in “Iron Man 2,” to Angelina Jolie for her acrobatic brawling in “Salt,” or someone else entirely? Which star’s unforgettable line — Liam Neeson’s plea to release the Kraken? Justin Timberlake’s insistence that only a billion dollars is truly cool? — will be the first to take home this award? For a third-straight year, it’s up to you!
Here’s how it’ll work: Starting Tuesday (March 22) and running through April 5, you can log onto MovieAwards.MTV.com to nominate your favorite movies, stars and crazy cinematic moments. Once the final nominees are announced, head back to the site to vote for the winners from May 3 through June 4. Voting for Best Movie, however, will remain open throughout the live ceremony on June 5 — meaning you’ll have a chance to affect the night’s biggest prize until the very last minute.
“MTV’s viewers are die-hard film buffs, and we love to see how they wield that dedication when voting for the MTV Movie Awards,” said Stephen Friedman, general manager of MTV. “This year’s show will once again reward movie buffs with previews of the year’s most anticipated movies and one-of-a-kind moments that become pop-culture history.”
The 20th Annual MTV Movie Awards will air live on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.
You can vote in the following Categories
Best Kiss: Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart or Taylor Lautner & Kristen Stewart
Best Fight: Robert Pattinson, Xavier Samuel & Bryce Dallas Howard
Best Villian: Bryce Dallas Howard or Xavier Samuel (Billy Burke is also nominated in this category for ‘Red Riding Hood’)

Best Male Breakthrough Star: Xavier Samuel (Jackson Rathbone is also in this category for ‘The Last Airbender’)
Best Female Performance: Kristen Stewart
Best Male Performance: Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner

Peter Facinelli Talks To Celebuzz About ‘Loosies’

Breaking Dawn Loosies 600x450 280x210 Peter Facinelli Talks To Celebuzz About Loosies peter facinelliCelebuzz.com has a new interview with Breaking Dawn Vampire Peter Facinelli (aka Daddy C).  In the interview Peter talks about his new film Loosies, and of course, Breaking Dawn -
Tell us a little bit about your character in Loosies.
I play a pickpocket in New York who he lives with his mom [laughs] and his mom thinks he works on Wall Street. So, every day he walks out of the house in a suit and tie and he walks down to the subway and that’s his office and he just pickpockets the people all day. He’s a pickpocket because he’s in debt, his father left him with $500,000 in gambling debts, so he has to pay off the person that his father was indebted to which is Vincent Gallo‘s character so it kind of took his life into a whole different direction.
He lives this fast, loose kind of Steve McQueen kind of lifestyle and one day he gets tapped on the shoulder and this girl that he had a one night stand with tells him that she’s pregnant and his whole world just kind of collapses around him because he has to grow up and take responsibility for something, so it’s a fun story.
You mentioned that you are in the middle of shooting Breaking Dawn, is it a bittersweet feeling to know that the Twilight Saga is coming to a close?
Yeah. I mean, we’re so busy working that I don’t think that we’ve wrapped our heads around the fact that it’s ending soon. We still have another month to go so right now we’re just knee-deep in the work of it. I haven’t really given much thought to it being over. Even when it’s over, the films will be coming out over the next two years so I’ll still see everybody.

The last question comes from Leona J.: “Is there any other character in the Twilight Saga that you would like to have played?”
I’m pretty satisfied with Carlisle. When I read the book that one made the most sense for me. I always said that if I was 10 years younger that Edward would have been a fun role to play but for where I was I thought Carlisle was pretty cool. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. It’s good to play the dad.

Scans Of Robert Pattinson In Style Italy Cover & Full Interview!

Breaking Dawn RP WFE 280x398 Scans Of Robert Pattinson In Style Italy Cover & Full Interview! reese witherspoon In Style Italy have Robert on the cover and with his co-stars Reece Witherspoon and the lovely Tia who plays Rosie. Below is the interview from the magazine:
The real prototype of these generational mutations is Rob Pattinson: 24 years old, and Englishman in Hollywood, where he became famous worldwide playing the pale vampire Edward Cullen (and, even before, Cedric Diggory, a model student at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series). He jokingly admits to be “nothing special, one of those who live in hotels and travel the world”. However, he created a new masculine identity, surprising even for the Facebook sub-culture who’s made him a star via the social network. Today is the eve of an important test for him: his new movie, WFE: he’s the protagonist of a melodramatic film, set in a circus, from the bestselling book by Sara Gruen. […]
Having been labelled as a teen idol, you’re now being tested as a true actor.
I had this chance to act with Cristoph Waltz and I fall in love with Marlena (Reese), his wife. Travelling with the circus, I visit areas of America far from Hollywood. There are dark secrets in this movie, as in life. And there’s this idea of life-saving love, which I believe in. I’m not cheesy, but I have a romantic soul.

Do you get on well with girls?
I grew up with two older sisters, and I have a great respect for women. I hate the lack of prudishness, I get bored when people are ostentatious of their body. Sex and feeling for me walk side-by-side.
Your rock side: people say you spend nights with your friends listening to Tom Waits, Van Morrison and the late Jeff Buckley.
Music is a key aspect of my life. I wish I could play a movie about Buckley, his voice, his songwriting gave me a lot. I’m interested in his creativity, in his existence, even in his death by drowning in 1997, in the Mississippi.
What kind of use do you do of Internet?
A practical use. My favourite movie last year was The Social Network and one day I’d like to work with David Fincher. Everything he does is interesting, and he got the best out of an actor I really admire, Jesse Eisenberg.
Mr. Pattinson, you’re an idol. Who’s yours?
Jack Nicholson. He had a huge career and he always owned his characters. Whereas, in the end, for a lot of people, I am just Edward the vampire and in my life I’m just Robert. We share the same hairstyle. But when I read an entire article about my hair, I laugh my best British laugh.
By the way: what brought you from London to Hollywood?
Difficult work perspectives. I didn’t have great experiences as an actor, I had posed rather awkwardly as a model; then, cinema. In Vanity Fair I was Reese’s son, while in this last movie I’m her lover.
To be honest, not a great curriculum.
No, and I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to be an actor; I had always thought I was going to be a writer or a musician. But then I fell In love with the adventurous aspect of cinema. And I found the discipline, the ethic, and let me tell you, the inner call, which helped me to give a proper structure to my life.
Fame was next, a non-human fame: the vampire. How did Rob Pattinson protect his persona from fans only interested in a celebrity?
I am a cinephile, I’ve always loved cinema. It’s a passion. Cinema has the most important, and the truest communicative task: it makes us dream, it broadens our imagination, and yes, it can help us become better people. I started studying French just because I was interested in the nouvelle vague director Godard. All of this doesn’t make me a “celebrity” even if I later entered the Hollywood system.
How important was your family in your education?
I have a solid family behind me, two sisters, Lizzie is a musician like me; yes I play piano and guitar and I even wrote songs for Twilight. I remain an Englishman, I still remember my days in a public school, the Harrodian, where I wasn’t an extraordinary student, but always curious and open to cultural variety. My family taught me a sense of reality, of duty, the refusal of any kind of hysteria and I’ve never considered myself superior to Americans because I’m from London. I hate every kind of snobbery: it has often racism behind it.
We know very little about your life. As a man and an actor, how would you describe yourself?
My father Richard sold cars for years, my mother works as an agent in the show business. I started acting almost by chance at school and I played in a band. I never asked for too many clothes and shoes, and I’ve never been a social climber and I’ll never be. I read a lot and I still do; my favourites are the Russian writers, Dostoevskij, Nabokov. They make fun of me on set because I’m always reading stuff. Lately I’ve been reading again my favourite English writer, Martin Amis. His books are extraordinary accounts of contemporary life and psychology.
What was the turning point from the status of young actor to superstar?
I came to a point where I said: I’m going to be a professional actor, looking for the origins of my characters, making something real out of this ephemeral job. This will allow me to live the life I want to live, to be active in green politics, to be a citizen of the world. Fame is an handicap, not a privilege, it often complicates things. I try to not fall in the web of top class hotels, first-class flights, designers sending you tons of stuff, thousands of girls everywhere..
Can you resist everything? Can you define yourself by what you refuse? You’re immune to gossip?
My private life is off-limit. I’ve never spoken about my flirts, I’m not a man for short and superficial love affairs. I don’t talk about my relationships with female friends, not to mention how I don’t talk about my relationship with Kristen Stewart, an actress I admire because she’s a real person, and a real actress. It was the chemistry I had with her helped me to get my role in Twilight. I don’t let people take pics of the houses I rented both in New York and London. When I’m in L.A. I live mostly in hotels. You can live very well in the anonymity of a hotel room, especially when you have a piano to play.
How important do you consider your style, the clothes you wear?
I like dressing Calvin Klein, English shoes, Tshirts and comfortable jeans. I’ve always been influenced by James Dean’s look. Yesterday elegance was conformism, today it’s individuality. Maybe we should find a balance.
Memorable travels around the world?
I avoid going on vacation to trendy places, I prefer road trips with friends, like students who choose nice motels, cafes in the depths of America, where a lot of people can’t even recognize me. Simple people who teach me how life is not Twilight. I travel to keep my feet firmly on the ground.
Are you interested in the real world?
I’m still interested into green politics and animals, preferably without paparazzi following me around. I have a dog, my true life companion, that’s never going to be in a photo shoot. This whole animal welfare thing is deeply in my heart: it was a real joy to be able to work with so many different species in WFE. I have a democratic and liberal concept of my life.
Congratulations. But don’t you think this is a super-serious attitude for an actor famous like you?
This is me, just me: I’m not interested in casual relationships, I need to know people, I’m not making an existential statement here: simply, I want a family, with 2 or 3 kids. Not funny? I really wish I could talk to animals more than to people who think they know me just from my movies.

Cosmopolis, Cronenberg’s move, is really going to be super-serious, from DeLillo’s novel, a metaphorical trip into America before 9/11.

I portray a contemporary man: ambitions, velleity, subterranean anxiety. Great stuff.

As we know there isn’t really much Swan residence time in the Breaking Dawn book, so it's time  the house will be deconstructed right away. But it still stings a lot.
At least one Vancouver set location for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is done: the Swan House. As discussed a week ago, time is running out on production of the two films, and while there are still a few weeks left, filming is evidently complete at the set which served as Charlie Swan (Billy Burke) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart)’s home throughout the Twilight Saga. According to her report yesterday, “Today the deconstruction began and it will never be built again.  It took three weeks to build and a few days to take down Breaking Dawn icon sad Breaking Dawn Filming Completed of the Swan House, Deconstruction Begins breaking dawn

Robert Pattinson On The Short List Of Actors For New Film Series ‘Akira’

Breaking Dawn akira 20110322030148 280x156 Robert Pattinson On The Short List Of Actors For New Film Series Akira robert pattinson
It’s been announced that Robert Pattinson is among a short list of actors who has received the script for Six-Volume graphic novel ‘Akira’:
EXCLUSIVE: The script for the Warner Bros/Legendary Pictures live action adaptation of anime artist Katsuhiro Otomo’s 6-volume graphic novelAkira has been sent to a short list of actors. The picture is finally taking shape for an August start, following the delivery of a rewrite by Steve Kloves that has director Albert Hughes and the studio brass excited. The story takes place in the rebuilt New Manhattan where a leader of a biker gang saves his friend from a medical experiment. There are two major roles, and I’m told that for Tetsuo, Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield and James McAvoy have been given the new script. For the role of Kaneda, the script has been given to Garrett Hedlund, Michael Fassbender, Chris Pine, Justin Timberlake and Joaquin Phoenix. The two leads are expected to come from that group of actors.
Andrew Lazar is producing with Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran. Akira has been one of Warner Bros’ high priority projects since the studio with Legendary Pictures acquired it for a 7-figure sum 2 years ago from manga publisher Kodansha. The intention has been to make 2 films, each covering 3 books in the series. Akira was first adapted for the screen in 1988.

Robert Pattinson Confirms Vamp Caesarean In Breaking Dawn

Breaking Dawn Breaking Dawn EdwardBellaHoneymoonStillBW Robert Pattinson Confirms Vamp Caesarean In Breaking Dawn breaking dawn
Robert Pattinson talks to Total Film about the scene where his character (Edward) performs a caesarean with his teeth on wife, Bella (Kristen Stewart).
Twihards, rejoice. Robert Pattinson tells Total Film that the scene where his character performs a caesarean with his teeth on wife, Bella (Kristen Stewart), has been filmed for the final part of the Twilight franchise, Breaking Dawn.
He’s currently juggling filming with promotion duties on his new non-vamp flick Water For Elephants, and chatted to TF while in LA.
“Yeah, I’ve done it,” RPattz laughed, “I’ve chewed it, spat it out!”
Though he’s not allowed to give much more away (joking with Ryan Seacrest recently that he gets ‘beaten’ for revealing details), Pattinson promises that Breaking Dawn will be “very different to the other films – more like a horror film.”
“Just some of the source material makes it inevitably more different. It’s completely nuts, the book.”

Gossip Cop: Robert Pattinson Will Not be in ‘Daredevil’

It was rumored that Robert Pattinson was being considered for the title role in the upcoming Daredevil reboot. Robert himself denied these rumors in his interview with MTV this week. Here is what Gossip Cop is reporting:
With the imminent arrival of Water for Elephants in theaters, there will be a spike inRobert Pattinson rumors (not that they everreally go away), and one that’s gained steam this week claims the actor could be up for the title role in an upcoming Daredevil reboot.
Ben Affleck starred as the blind superhero (and alter ego Matt Murdock) in a 2003 movie.
So what prompted these new rumors of Pattinson possibly taking over the part?
Well, his The Twilight Saga: Eclipse director David Slade was just announced as the director for the newDaredevil project. That development led many sites to speculate that Slade plans to recruit his former leading man as the hero.
It turns out, however, that there’s no truth to the buzz about Pattinson donning the tight red costume when the Daredevil character is reborn.

Hollywood brings out a new breed of brawn (UsaToday)

The ‘Twilight’ factor
The reason for the double standard?
“It’s the two archetypes you see in Twilight,” Dergarabedian suggests. In one corner is brooding vampire Edward and, in the other, burly werewolf Jacob. “It’s probably an attempt to make sure women see these films.”
Not a bad guess. Yes, the target audience of such geek-squad fare remains men 18 to 25, who can almost always be counted on to show up for at least the opening weekend of a comic-book adventure. But as the cost for special-effects and possible 3-D treatment escalates, it isn’t a bad idea to reach beyond the core crowd and add some eye candy for the ladies as well.
Consider that the first three romantic Gothic thrillers based on the hugely popular book series have collected nearly $1.8 billion total in worldwide ticket sales by targeting female ticket buyers.
Meanwhile, barely known actors Robert Pattinson, 24, and Taylor Lautner, 19, turned into overnight sensations. Besides, it is normal for the definition of a movie hunk to go in cycles, says Jeanine Basinger, head of film studies at Wesleyan University.
