The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' stars among Glamour's 'Sexiest'

Glamour Magazine has revealed its picks for "50 Sexiest Men," and several of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's hunks are on the list. They are also in contention for the publication's top choice as well, and you can vote at this link.
Xavier Samuel ("Riley Biers") is number two on the list; Taylor Lautner ("Jacob Black") is number three; Kellan Lutz ("Emmett Cullen") is fifth; and Robert Pattinson is at number forty-six (note that these aren't "ranks").
Another on-going competition is also underway at Entertainment Weekly, and of the many, many choices initially proposed for "Sexiest Beast" in the "Movie Vampires and Werewolves" category (formerly including characters like "Louis de Pointe du Lac" (Brad Pitt) from Interview with the Vampire, "Selene" (Kate Beckinsale) from Underworld, "Satanico Pandemonium" (Salma Hayek) in From Dusk Till Dawn, "Blade" (Wesley Snipes) of Blade, "Emmett Cullen" (Kellan Lutz) from the Twilight Saga, "James" (Cam Gigandet) from Twilight, and "Remus Lupin" (David Thewlis) from the Harry Potter series, among others), the list has been whittled to that seemingly age old paradigm, "Edward Cullen" versus "Jacob Black."
Right now, results give "Edward" the edge with 56% of the vote. You can weigh in with your pick at EW.

Twilight' series books going white for Christmas

It seems that Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series books will be going white for Christmas this year.
According to The Bookseller, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn will all be re-released in white this October by Atom in the U.K. and Ireland and by Little, Brown Books in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India. (Unfortunately, this means those of us in the U.S. will not have a chance to buy the white editions of the Saga.)
"The white titles will only be published between October and Christmas 2010, replacing the usual black jackets. The titles will have crimson-edged pages and crimson back covers, with text confined to the spines," the site reports.
The site also issued this preview picture of Twilight and New Moon as transformed for this special holiday edition.
The Bookseller also has details on a box set of the four Twilight series books (plus the Bree Tanner novella) as well as the paperback edition of Breaking Dawn in these locations here.

Charlie Bewley wants a 3D birth scene for Breaking Dawn

In his typical obnoxious fashion, Charlie Bewley told E! Online that he wants a vivid 3D birth scene in Breaking Dawn.
How are they going to show the birth?
I think they should just go all the way and do it in 3D! The baby kind of like pops out and floats above the audience’s head. Everyone who goes to see the movie with a bunch of kids going, “What?!”
I just don’t think they’re going to go for that.
There will be blood going like this [tilts head back, opens mouth and slides fingers over his face].
Maybe that could be at like a midnight showing. But seriously, how are they going to show it?
I have no idea. [But] they have to keep it in there. It’s part of the book.

Drama Surrounding Taylor Lautner & the Township Supervisor

Taylor Lautner is currently in Pittsburgh filming his new movie Abduction.  What is supposed to be a drama free environment, filled with filming, signing autographs, posing for pictures. Has now created a stir, as Taylor has been drug into controversy that had already surrounded the PA town of Forward Township -
Long before actor Taylor Lautner showed up in Forward Township to film the new movie “Abduction,” friction existed between the Police Department and a township supervisor. But the bad blood grew worse when Forward Township Supervisor Tom DeRosa was scolded for trying to take a picture of Lautner, and police refused to help him take action against the production crew.”We have a police force right now that is dysfunctional,” DeRosa told Channel 4 Action News’ Jim Parsons.
DeRosa said he tried last month to snap a photo of Lautner for his 13-year-old daughter.

“He said, ‘You took a picture this morning of my son,’” DeRosa said.”This was Taylor Lautner’s father?” Parsons asked.”His father,” DeRosa said. “I said, ‘Oh, bud, I didn’t know that.’ I said, ‘I didn’t know I couldn’t take a picture.’ … He said, ‘I want you to leave.’ I’m in the township that I basically oversee, they’re strangers from California, interrupt our traffic, interrupt our people, were rude as you could get, and they tell me to leave.”
DeRosa told Parsons that he threatened to tow the film crew’s vehicles out of a municipal park unless they paid a $500 fee to the township.Forward Township police Officer Jason Miller said that when officers refused to help DeRosa, he used cars from his private dealership.”In essence, they blocked that park in so that company could not move their property until they paid money to the township,” said Miller, who called it “extortion.”

Kellan Lutz has 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' down time plans for Vancouver

Kellan Lutz - Getty Images
Kellan Lutz has already made plans for how he intends to spend his The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 down time in Vancouver, British Columbia: snowboarding.
Speaking to OK Magazine, Lutz revealed that the timing of his impending stay in Canada couldn't be better for this extracurricular interest.
"I love to snowboard, so it’s going to be good to be there in the winter. I’m going to be in Vancouver in the wintertime when I can actually use Whistler big time. I’m a big snowboarding junkie. The restaurants there are amazing. The seafood’s great, the steaks are great. We’ve been shooting up there for the last two movies, so we kind of have our hole in the wall bars where we can semi-escape."
Even on the set, though, Lutz said that he knows good times will be had.
"[W]e have so many inside jokes now and again we don’t get sick of each other because these movies are only three to four months of shooting and then we’re off doing our own thing. And then we get excited to come back and it’s like a great family reunion. I can’t wait. I really can’t wait. I don’t think many actors who are part of trilogies or sagas can say that and really can’t wait to get back to the cast again. Share stories and make more memories," he explained.
Lutz has just finished filming a few different movies outside of the Twilight Saga, including Love, Wedding, Marriage, and Immortals, but he seems to realize that it is the Twilight series which "opened up so many doors" for his career. "It’s allowed me to mold my career in the action route, which I would love to do. I love doing stunts, I love doing action movies," he said.

Anna Kendrick sticks up for 'Twilight' fans

It's always nice to hear Twilight series castmembers stick up for the Saga's fans (who support them so - especially when it comes to their outside projects), and the latest actress to do so is Anna Kendrick ("Jessica Stanley" in the series).
According to the Wall Street Journal, "Kendrick bristled at the notion that 'Twilight' fans, or 'Twihards,' are a little overboard. 'People like to make fun of the fans who camp out but people have renaissance faires; people do Civil War reenactments; people do what they like,' Kendrick said. 'I’m tired of hearing people rag on the fans. If you don’t like ‘Twilight,’ don’t buy a ticket.'"

Anna Kendrick has been busy these last few weeks promoting her movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, and director Edgar Wright talked to Entertainment Weekly about the fact that Kendrick was cast long before she became a part of the Twilight phenomenon.
"Some of it is just luck, I guess . . .but also I feel like, in every part, I got the best person for the job. A lot of these people have been cast in it for a long time. Anna Kendrick did her first audition for it before she shot the first Twilight," he explained.
EW also revealed another interesting tidbit: that two of the contributors for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's official motion picture soundtrack, Metric ("Eclipse (All Yours") and Beck (with Bat for Lashes, "Let's Get Lost"), have also added songs to Scott Pilgrim's OST.
According to Gigwise, Metric's song for the album is "Black Sheep," and lead singer Emily Haines (who Twilight fans have gotten to know quite well through her Eclipse OST-related press) said that being a part of these two albums has made "this year [full of] really amazing for moments."

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' nudges back into the top ten at the box office

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has been in U.S. theaters for well over a month now, but according to the latest numbers, it is still in the top ten at the box office.
Larry Richman at PRONetworks reports, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has moved back into the top 10 . . . This moves the film up from #13 to #10 behind The Other Guys."
Richman also points out that "at this point in its release history (after 41 days) New Moon had taken in $283,870,180. Eclipse is now at $293,491,146. Both films hit the $250M mark on the 16th day. The total domestic gross for New Moon was $296,623,634. Eclipse only needs about $3.13M to break that. It should happen by the end of the week. That would put the film within striking distance of the elusive $300M mark, which it may pass by the end of next weekend."
Eclipse, the movie, is not the only thing hanging tough on the charts. According to Billboard's latest "200" chart, Eclipse's soundtrack is still in 26th place overall, and it is also number two in soundtracks.
No word yet on when The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's box office run will officially be over. Box Office Mojo's "Twilight Tiff" feature indicates that Twilight and New Moon weren't through with the box office until April (both had release dates of November) - around 19-21 weeks after initial release - and Eclipse has only been in theaters for six weeks. Of course, that factors in international dates as well, so it may not be applicable to U.S. theaters, but according to Fandango, tickets are still available in some locations well into next week (which is as far as can be seen through their advance ticket purchasing feature) at the very least.
