Jackson Rathbone, a 'Twilight' star and a comedian

Jackson Rathbone - AP Photo
You've probably always known Jackson Rathbone as that good-natured, free-spirited person that just so happens to be a Twilight star.
Over a year ago, Rathbone quipped about how he could "kill from 10 feet away with a spear," and this time he's taken on both political satire and comedic self-deprecation.
"I still go by Monroe when I am in trouble with the law," he explained to NYLON Magazine of his first name. Though, he was quick to protect his clean reputation. "I don’t get so much as a speeding ticket these days but I am a habitual parking violator."
When discussing the potential juxtapositioning of his musical talents and Twilight work, he said, "Obviously, I’m going to star in Twilight the musical. The scary thing is, I bet they’re totally making one, like, right now!"
To put icing on the humorous cake, Rathbone took on an anti-political party machine character campaigning for L.A. County Council ("Jehosephat") in this YouTube video.

New Moon' star Jamie Campbell Bower to take on 'Camelot'

Jamie Campbell Bower - AP Photo
Jamie Campbell Bower ("Caius" in The Twilight Saga: New Moon) is no novice to the acting world.
Before working on New Moon and Harry Potter, the actor had appeared in Sweeney Todd and the television series The Prisoner.
It appears that, now, Bower will be taking up a new TV series to add to his resume: Camelot. A source reports:
About to start shooting in Ireland in June, is the new 10-part series Camelot from the makers of The Tudors, with a couple of young British rising stars in the leading roles.
Jamie Campbell-Bower has been cast as King Arthur, with Tamsin Egerton as his queen Guinevere.

Two new 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' videos debut online

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
Following last night's release of "Introducing Bree Tanner," two new clips from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have now been released online!
The first is at MSN, a TV Spot/sneak peek of the film that brings forth a couple of new glimpses of the movie.
For starters, a shot at the television screen, where the tragic news of Seattle is issued, is provided.
"Seattle is in a state of terror," the anchor states.
Two other new quotes are revealed in the clip as well: Jasper saying "No human army can stand against them"; and Bella saying "We have to work together."
The second new clip is from Fandango, and it is a featurette/TV Spot devoted to Riley called "Missing"!
In the video, more of Riley's transformation moments are seen (including a vicious bite mark on his palm) as well as the aftermath of his disappearance (his parents, seemingly, consulting with Charlie, missing persons signs, etc.).

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse: The Score' track list revealed

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse: The Score' - Summit Ent.
The full track list for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse: The Score has been revealed!
While the only song from Howard Shore for Eclipse that has yet been revealed is "Jacob's Theme" from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack, the score is sure to provide quite a bit of the film's intensity and dramatic background.
The release date for the album is June 29th, just a day before the film's release date. Chances are, it's because the album flows much like the film will, and some surprises are better left unseen until on screen.
The track list titles, however, do preview the flow of the film story, don't they?

'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer reveals 'Bree Tanner' details

Stephenie Meyer - AP Photo
Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight series books, has spoken up about The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella, her forthcoming release (due June 5th) to USA Today.
"In the beginning, I wasn't fascinated specifically by Bree — it was the newborns in general," she revealed.
"Bree is the only newborn mentioned by name in Eclipse, the only newborn who has contact with the Cullens (aside from being killed by them), and the only newborn who encounters the Volturi in the clearing. She lives the longest, so she is the narrator who can tell the full story. She was a natural choice to chronicle the story of the newborns. Once I started writing from her perspective, she really came alive. So much so that, as the inevitable end got closer, it was really depressing going ahead. It was harder for me to kill Bree than any other fiction character I've ever killed, even though I was killing her for the second time," she explained about the novella's creation.
Be sure to check out Meyer's comments in the Bree Tanner featurette here.

Eclipse Soundtrack Score – Interview with Howard Shore and a Review

The Soundtracks Examiner has a review of the Twilight Saga Eclipse Score. He does a track by track review.
You can check it out here.
He also has an interview with it’s Composer Howard Shore.
Check out the interview here.
Here is an excerpt:

How did you come into working on the ECLIPSE project?

They just asked me to work on it, and that was pretty much it. It really was as simple as that.
With NEW MOON, Alexandre Desplat admitted that he ignored Carter Burwell’s score for TWILIGHT and did not even see the first film. Did you follow that same mentality with ECLIPSE?
No, I actually did some pretty thorough research. I like to read a lot, and I knew the story. I was really interested in it from a dramatic point of view. And I felt that the story expands with the third film. I did the research and fell into a very interesting creative process. It was a pleasure to work on.
And I found both guys’ scores to be very good. Carter’s was such a good score, and Alexandre’s was just beautiful.
It is available June 29th.

Stephenie Talks Bree Tanner

The USA Today has an interview where Stephenie Meyer Talks about The Second Life of Bree Tanner.
Read it all here.
Here is an excerpt:

Q: Bree only appears in a couple pages of Eclipse. What was it about the character that made you want to explore her story further?

A: In the beginning, I wasn’t fascinated specifically by Bree — it was the newborns in general. While I was writing Eclipse, there was a lot going on behind the scenes, of course, things Bella didn’t know about. Because I was focused on Bella, I couldn’t delve too deeply into the newborns’ story, however, there was always in my mind a general idea of what they were up to. I had to think about that while I was pacing the plot: Bella is at this point, the newborns are doing this. To keep it all straight, eventually I made a calendar of the months of May and June — which is all Eclipse deals with — and wrote down on each square what was going on with Bella that day and what was happening in Seattle. So the story of the newborns was always a big part of the story of Eclipse. And it made me kind of sad that there was no way to express any of that in the book.
Bree is the only newborn mentioned by name in Eclipse, the only newborn who has contact with the Cullens (aside from being killed by them), and the only newborn who encounters the Volturi in the clearing. She lives the longest, so she is the narrator who can tell the full story. She was a natural choice to chronicle the story of the newborns. Once I started writing from her perspective, she really came alive. So much so that, as the inevitable end got closer, it was really depressing going ahead. It was harder for me to kill Bree than any other fiction character I’ve ever killed, even though I was killing her for the second time. (Before Bree, the saddest was Walter in The Host.)

Peter Interview

USA Today has an interview with Peter Facinelli.
He talks about the two doctors he plays, Dr. Carlisle Cullen in Twilight and Dr. Fitch Cooper on Nurse Jackie.
Check it all out here.
Here is an excerpt:

On the big screen, he returns as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, the preppy patriarch of an affluent clan of vampires in Eclipse, the third film in the tween-fave Twilight saga that opens June 30. “Eclipse is my favorite book in the series,” says Facinelli, whose benevolent version of Count Dracula finally gets his bite on while warding off a rival gang of newborn hemoglobin addicts.

“I like that the two opposing forces, vampires and werewolves, band together for the common good,” he says of the plot, which finds the Cullens striking an uneasy truce with Native American shape-shifters to protect son Edward’s mortal love, Bella.
If he had to seek medical care from one of his docs, which one would he choose: the compassionate bloodsucker Cullen, who insists that he and his family feed only on animals? Or the socially clumsy Cooper, who can suck the air out of a room just by opening his mouth?
“Carlisle, bar none,” Facinelli says. “He would make you live forever.”

Jackson Interview

Nylon Magazine has an Interview with Jackson Rathbone.
Check out the interview and pics here.
He talks mainly about The Last Airbender.
Here is an excerpt:

I know M. Night Shyamalan is famous for his secrecy. But what can you tell us about The Last Airbender?
Well I can say it is going to be an amazing action film; it’s got the most incredible CGI. We got ILM working on it, which is Industrial Lights and Magic, and it truly is magic, honestly, at the end of the day. We are shooting on the green screen, we have a character called Appa? Which is a big bison kind of flying bear creature? And that’s me, I’m a big flying bear creature.

Nice try. Okay, no, but I get to ride it.
Not a real flying bear? No, I rode a fuzzy saddle. It was about 15-20 feet off the ground. It’s on this kind of rocking thing… They were moving it, and there is a big green screen behind you. Night’s yelling, “Okay, you’re flying through the air now!” You’re like, “Okay, I am flying through the air now.” And oh yeah, I had to be flying through the air, and no, I wasn’t on any drugs.

The Twilight Saga: A to Z

Moviefone has up a great little article called Twilight Saga A-Z.

Check it all out here.

A is for Alice, the spritely, spiky-haired Cullen sister whose special vampire gift is her ability to see the future. She can tell you when to skip biology class (blood-typing day!), and let you know that your boyfriend is en route to Italy to request a decapitation (Edward Cullen in ‘New Moon’). The only thing this fashion maven is blind to is the wolves — this explains how she saw Bella’s cliff-dive, but entirely missed the part when Jacob pulls her out of the water. Alice’s mate is Jasper Hale, the blond Southerner who is constantly trying not to fall off the vegetarian vampire wagon.

Famous Movie Locations – Town from ‘The Twilight Saga – Forks, WA

Moviefone has picked Forks, Washington as it’s famous movie Location this week.
The article talks about the town.
Check it all out here.

Excerpt:
The City of Forks, one of the rainiest places in America, had a sparkly light shine on it in 2005 — and the name of that light was Edward Cullen. Located in Washington’s rain forest, the town had fallen on rough times as its timber industry declined. The economy ran mainly on sports fisherman who traveled to nearby Olympic National Park; all that changed, however, after Stephenie Meyer published her first book.
