Betty Confidential’s ‘The Top 10 Sexiest Movies of 2011′

Whew! Was it hot in here this year at the movies, or was it just us? It seems like all of our favorite stars were gettin’ frisky- and we don’t just mean those of the bed headboard bustin’ variety (looking at you, Robert Pattinson).
1. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part One
Saving the best for last, our number one pick in the sexiest movie scene this year was none other than newlywed Edward Cullen and Bella Swan’s, er, Bella Cullen’s headboard-bustin’, pillow-ripping, bruise-inducing, absolutely sizzling honeymoon together. And with Breaking Dawn- Part Two looming on the 2012 release horizon, we already know there’s a hot year ahead!

New BTS Pics of Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins from ‘Abduction’

Michael Sheen to Appear in a Terrence Malick Drama

Michael Sheen revealed that he has shot a scene in Terrance Malick’s upcoming untitled drama. Terrance Malik has three movies in the works including the untitled romantic drama, Knight of Cups, and Lawless.
In other Malick news, Michael Sheen revealed toMark Kermode and Simon Mayo [via The Playlist] that he shot a scene for the untitled drama:
“My girlfriend [McAdams] was in a film that Terrence Malick did so I went to visit her on set, and apparently, if you’re an actor and you turn up on a Terrence Malick set, he asks you to be in his film. So I got to be Ben Affleck’s boss for a day.”
Sheen is a nice addition to the already great cast of Affleck, McAdams, Olga Kurylenko, Javier Bardem, Rachel Weisz, Barry Pepper, and Jessica Chastain.  Neat insight into Malick’s process, too.  The director is known for removing characters in post-productions: Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Sheen, Gary Oldman, Bill Pullman, Lukas Haas, Jason Patric, Viggo Mortensen, and Mickey Rourke all shot scenes for The Thin Red Line that were edited out by the final cut.  Sheen’s role sounds like a very good candidate for the cutting room floor, but we’ll see.

MuchMusic: Rob & Taylor among 2011′s Hottest Guys

Much Music has created their lists of the Top 10 Hottest Guys and Hottest Girls of 2011 and Rob and Taylor both are on the list!
7) Robert Pattinson
The boy who sparkles. Edward Cullen, congratulations. With the end of Twilight in sight, he’s awoken the romantic in teen girls everywhere. And of course, he’s taking that longing with him in movies like Water for Elephants and the upcoming Bel Ami.
9) Taylor Lautner
The other Twilight guy. But he’s proved he’s more than just the other Twilight guy; he’s being groomed as Hollywood’s next big action hero. And he’s already got his feet wet with 2011′s Abduction opposite Lily Collins. He just has to wrap up the Twilight romance franchise and he’ll be well on his way.

Taylor Lautner’s decision to risk ‘Abduction’

Check out Taylor discussing filming Abduction. He is promoting the release of Abduction, out on DVD January 17.
For his first post-Twilight leading role, Taylor Lautner worked with Boyz N The Hood director John Singleton in the fast-paced thriller Abduction. Although Lautner laments the end of The Twilight Saga, he is anxious to do more nail-biters like Abduction.
After becoming an international superstar as part of the cast of the global box office phenomenon – The Twilight Saga (of five films) — Taylor Lautner chose to team up with director John Singleton (the filmmaker behind such contemporary classics Poetic Justice, Boyz n the Hood) for a cinematic change of pace — playing the leading man in the adrenaline-pumping thriller Abduction (now available on VOD; coming to Blu-ray Disc and DVD).
You worked the red carpet at the premiere for Abduction, like a pro. You talked to the media but you spent a lot of time with your fans, too.
“Yeah, that’s always one of the most important parts for me, and it was great. There was a lot of fans there. It was awesome. There was a lot of energy. It was kind of my first premiere outside of Twilight in a while. I did Valentine’s Day, but I didn’t know how it was going to be and the energy felt the exact same which was amazing.”
Do you ever get tired of the screaming girls and fainting fans?
“To be honest, no. I mean, I’m sure that there might be moments, like maybe if I’m tired or something and I’m just waking up, but not really. If that’s their way of showing their passion then I will take it.”
Your Abduction costar Jason Isaacs said the hardcore fans were camped out on the set every day to get a glimpse of you in the car…
“There was a lot of fans on set. I think probably the highlight, we were actually there for a week. We were filming in a random city called Sutterville and there was a population of six hundred people and one night we had over eight hundred girls on set. So, there was definitely a few people driving in from different cities. It was pretty impressive. There were some great fans there in Sutterville.”
How do you handle that? You can’t talk to all of them.
“I found a way to. It was tiring because we were actually filming nights there. So, you show up at 8PM and work until 5AM. At 5AM I would go out and there would literally be eight hundred people down the street. I would go out and pretty much take pictures with all of them. It took about an hour and we tried to do it fast. Doing it fast for eight hundred people was still an hour. But it was important to me.”
Any crazy fan encounters?
“No, nothing crazy. I think that I had like three hundred people in my front lawn at one point, but that was about it.”
That’s not crazy at all.
(Laughs) “They were behaved fans though.”
Where do you see yourself two years from now when the Twilight phenomenon is all said and done? What direction do you want to go?
“That’s a good question. If you had asked me that question two years ago I wouldn’t have guessed that I’d be sitting here today, but my goal is to continue to challenge myself in a wide variety of roles and genres. I mean, what attracted me to this, another thing, was that it was different than anything that I’d ever done before. I had a great experience with it. I love it, but now I’m definitely looking forward to doing something completely different from this.”
What about a musical?
“I do want to challenge myself, but probably not that much. My fans would not want to see that.”
Would you do another franchise like the Twilight series?
“Yeah, if it made sense. You take it one movie at a time and if people enjoy it and I love it then I’m definitely open to the idea.”

Next Movie’s ’20 Sexiest Screen Couples of 2011′

Check out who made Next Movie‘s ’20 Sexiest Screen Couples of 2011′!

As the year draws to an end, we can’t help but reflect on all the memorable movies and stand out performances of 2011. But nothing made our hearts skip a collective beat like the actors who scorched up the big screen with their scintillating romances this year.

Whether it was teen newlyweds who brought new meaning to the idea of everlasting love, best friends who finally gave in to their undeniable feelings or superheroes who couldn’t resist the magnetic pull of attraction, these couples had it bad for each other, and we for them. Take a look at the 20 sexiest cinematic couples of 2011.

16. Taylor Lautner & Lily Collins, ‘Abduction’

After years of watching Lautner’s broody Jacob Black pine for Bella in the “Twilight” series, it’s refreshing to see the hunky star finally get the girl (the lovely Collins). That scene on the train alone — when Lautner literally sweeps Collins off her feet — qualifies as one of the best kisses of 2011.

15. Robert Pattinson & Reese Witherspoon, ‘Water for Elephants’

Oh the angst — the heartbreaking angst, and few young actors handle it as sexily as R.Pattz. As an orphaned college dropout who runs away with the circus, Pattinson’s young Jacob falls desperately in love with the show’s married star, played by the blonde and beautiful Reese Witherspoon.

3. Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart, ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′

After three movies of pent-up longing and waiting, audiences finally get to see Bella (Stewart) join her dazzling Edward (Pattinson) at the altar. At last, Bella and Edward do what honeymooners do — and that extended skinny-dipping, bed-breaking, chess-playing, lovemaking sequence is a Twi-hard’s dream come true.
