The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' remains number one on day two of release, opens strong internationally

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
For a while, there was some speculation that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse might waver in the box office once The Last Airbender debuted, but yesterday's Airbender opening didn't match up with Eclipse's second day totals.
According to Gossip Cop, Eclipse took in an estimated $25 million yesterday, well above Airbender's $16 million.
Some predictions say that Eclipse's weekend total might be upwards of $180 million or even $200 million by Monday.
Internationally, the film has also made waves with a reported $16.2 million opening on the first day, setting records in Italy and Belgium and beating predecessor The Twilight Saga: New Moon's opening in several locations as well.
With this weekend's cast appearance push coming up and the July 4th weekend crowd rolling in, there's hardly any doubt Eclipse will hit the $180 mark . . . That'd put it above New Moon's opening weekend ($140.8 million) as well as current record-holder The Dark Knight ($158 million).

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' surpasses $120 million in three days

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
Figures from Friday's box office are in, and, according to Entertainment Weekly, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse took in another $28.6 million on Friday.
This adds to the $92.5 million it'd made on Wednesday and Thursday to make a domestic total of over $120 million from the first three days.
With these new estimates, it is predicted by EW that Eclipse will take in over $200 million by Monday (a six day total).
Gossip Cop, too, has weighed in on the figures and suggests that "For the standard, three-day weekend (Friday through Sunday), the film is projected to earn $80.2 million. Including Monday, the four-day holiday weekend is expected to gross $106.1 million."

PopSugar TV: David Slade Comments On Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart

New EW Outtakes Of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner

Here are some new outtakes from the Entertainment Weekly photo shoot of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner by photographer James White.  Kristen, Rob and Taylor talked to EW about the pressures of promoting a blockbuster film.
Kristen: ”Things have looked up for me as soon as I stopped worrying about it and relinquished the control — not even relinquished the control, just realized that I never had it. As soon as I stopped getting nervous and freaked out by stuff, I had a much better time.”
ROB: ”When you first start doing it, it is so overwhelming that you think it’s the most important thing in the world, the whole thing about public image and persona and stuff. And then you realize the whole thing about marketing is just having your face everywhere and that’s it. It doesn’t matter what you say.
TAYLOR: ”I think just by repetition and experience it’s made it more comfortable. It got a lot better when I learned that the easiest way to go about it is just be honest and be yourself.”

Eclipse Box Office Totals $121 Million After Three Days! Plus New Eclipse Stills!

According to Entertainment Weekly, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse earned an estimated $28.6 million on Friday, bringing the total over the last three days to $121 million!
With $68.5 million in its coffers after a record-breaking Wednesday plus another $24 million on Thursday and an estimated $28.6 million on Friday, the third installment of the Twilight franchise, Twilight Saga: Eclipse has earned a shade over $121 million and is on its way to a $200 million six-day total. The Last Airbender, despite the incredibly dismal reviews, should have a decent number two finish for its debut weekend. The M. Night Shyamalan flick took in $16 million on Friday after pulling in $16 million on its opening day for a 5-day holiday weekend gross that could total $70 million.

Check it all out here.
Here is one:
Batter Up!
Ashley had never played baseball before filming “Twilight,” so she underwent extensive training for the baseball scene. Instead of using a body double, Ashley really did pitch the ball — and claims she only hit the camera “a couple of times.”

Interview with Bryce Dallas Howard

Life has an interview with Bryce Dallas Howard.
Check it all out here along with a number of Pictures of Bryce.
Here is an excerpt:
Don’t let her serene energy and stunning looks fool you — Bryce Dallas Howard knows how to go for the jugular. “I had to get in touch with my animal instincts,” says the 29-year-old actress about taking over the pivotal role of Victoria, the villainous vampire out for heroine Bella’s blood in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. “At one point, I was actually working out in my head, ‘How would you physically suck blood from someone’s neck? Would you take a breath first? Would you open up your throat to drink?’” Before heading to the theater on June 30 to see exactly how Victoria goes about hunting her prey this time, get to know the actress who brings her to life. Here, Howard — photographed exclusively for LIFE by editor-at-large Jeff Vespa — opens up about stepping into the high-profile franchise, branching out into other aspects of Hollywood (just like her famous dad, Ron), and becoming very good at playing bad.

Peter Interview

The Stir has an interview with Peter Facinelli.
Check it all out here.
Here is an excerpt:

You have a teenage daughter; is she a Twi-hard? Or just like, ehhh, that’s my dad.

She’s more like ehhh, that’s my dad. I ruined it for her in that way. She can’t be a full-on die-hard Twi-hard, because it’s like, “My dad is in the movie and that would be weird.” She loves the movies, but it’s not like she can wear Twilight merchandise. Her friends would be like, “That’s kind of weird.”

But she could declare Team Edward or Team Jacob.

She has mentioned Team Edward before. But she wears Carlisle t-shirts. She’s a Carlisle supporter.

Is your wife (actress Jennie Garth) a big fan as well or does she keep her distance?

She’s excited for the movie; she’s read all the books. She really enjoyed the movie.

David Interview

Movie Line has an interview with David Slade.
Check it all out Here.
Here is an excerpt:

Have you lined up your next project yet, or are you like, “I think I’ll wait until those opening weekend grosses come in…”
I just want to sleep. [Laughs] I’ve been talking about various projects, but I’m not out of the woods on the press tour yet. I’ll be thinking about that after I get back from Europe, and maybe after a short break. I’m not going to be directing The Shadow, though — that’s just a rumor.

So where did that rumor come from?
I wish I knew! It’s one of those really strange things where I have no idea.

If Eclipse is the highest-grossing movie you ever make, would you be fine with that?

Yeah. I’m pretty sure it will be! I’m pretty sure this will be seen by more people than any other film I make, but listen, who knows? The world of cinema is changing, the way we make films is changing, everything’s changing. I try not to think like that.
