Robert Pattinson: “Breaking Dawn” Birth Scene Was One of the Toughest of His Career

Rob spoke to the Chicago Sun-Times about why the birth scene was one of the hardest of his career!
“I’m curious to see how it will carry out . . . This movie is so different from the other ones. The stakes are so much higher because now it’s time to turn the entire saga upside down . . . The birth scene is frightening . . . It’s a slap in the face. It’s failure to Edward, who has to choose between losing Bella and transforming her. It’s the toughest scene I’ve ever had to film in my career because this choice tears out my heart.”

Total Film: New photo and interview with Taylor Lautner

Total Film previews their new interview and photo shoot of Taylor Lautner in promotion for his film Abduction.

He certainly has some lofty aspirations, telling us, “The most important thing I did with John [Singleton – director] was sit down beforehand and watch a lot of movies and study actors that I look up to.”
“We studied Tom Cruise in Minority Report, Harrison Ford, Matt Damon, Denzel Washington…”
When we asked if he was actively looking to inherit their gig, he replied: “That would be an honour, to be compared to people like that. I look up to Tom Cruise and Matt Damon.
“I would kill to have the careers they’ve had…”

Moviefone Interviews Tinsel Korey

How did you get involved with ‘Stained’?
My demo reel came across director Karen Lam’s table. When I was offered the role, they said you’re going to play a schizophrenic serial killer. I’m like, what did she see from my reel? Apparently when I’m smiling it looks like everything is great, and when I’m not I look like I can kill somebody. So I don’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing!
How did you prepare for it?
You have to go into a dark place to play a character like that so I was listening to the kind of music that triggered those kinds of emotions. It was really interesting to delve into that part of your psyche.
No kidding! What kind of music were you listening to?
[Laughs] Actually, it was My Chemical Romance. It’s a pretty emo band.
‘Breaking Dawn’ is coming out soon. What was it like filming that?
Bittersweet. Obviously it’s great to be back on set and see everybody, but I knew it was the last movie. I remember being at dinner and just looking around and it was like, ‘Are we all going to be friends when this is finished?’ I compare movies to summer camp. You have these great relationships and you bond, and then when summer ends you’re all like, ‘We have to keep in touch!’ Then life moves on and you go your separate ways.
How has the dynamic on set changed between ‘New Moon’ and ‘Breaking Dawn’? Was everyone more relaxed and comfortable with each other?
We see each other at ‘Twilight’ conventions and stuff like that, so we’ve gotten to interact a lot more than you would on another movie where it finishes and you don’t see each other. So that strengthened our bond as a wolf pack unit. You could definitely tell that the movie had changed, as in the budget and the level of movie. When we were filming ‘New Moon’ the hype was really just starting to pick up and I think that ‘Twilight’ had just been released internationally, so it wasn’t the crazy hoopla that it is right now. Obviously that was intensified by ‘Eclipse,’ and then ‘Breaking Dawn’ was another level.
That’s really interesting. Are there any tangible examples you can think of? For example, were you having caviar at the craft services table or anything crazy like that?
[Laughs] Nothing crazy like that, because obviously they want to spend the funds on making the best movie possible. There’s more people. The security was really intense, because we’ve had incidents. Like on ‘Eclipse’ these fans somehow made it onto set. It was actually kind of funny because they obviously had the plan to make it on to set, but then they didn’t know what to do when they got on set. So they were standing there and the crew and all of us are staring at them staring at us and everyone’s like so … what now? [Laughs] So security was definitely bumped up.
Are you getting approached by a lot of ‘Twilight’ fans now?
I don’t get recognized, especially when I don’t have my bangs. I rarely tell people that I’m an actor in general, but when it does come up they say ‘Oh, what character do you play?’ When I say I’m the girl with the scar they just stare at my face and say, ‘You look really different!’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, because half my face isn’t covered with a scar!’ I think people are expecting to see Emily and not me, so I actually don’t get recognized.

Ashley Greene Talks the Ease of Approaching “Breaking Dawn”

Ashley Greene, who is promoting the August 30th DVD release of Skateland, recently spoke with Scene Louisiana about working on Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2 and how it compared to going into Twilight three and a half years ago.
“With the first film, it was incredibly nerve-wracking because the fans had a pre-conceived idea of Alice from the book series. I knew I had a lot to live up to . . . Getting into character for Breaking Dawn feels like slipping on a pair of my favorite jeans. I know Alice inside and out and I understand her motives and her back-story. I’ve definitely grown more secure in my skin, both personally and as my character . . . Twilight was my first big film and none of us were prepared for its success and what came along with it. Now, with three of the Twilight films and press tours under my belt, I know what to expect and feel much more comfortable with the process. This time around, I’m much more comfortable. I know I have the unwavering support of our amazing fans, and I’m incredibly humbled by them, the cast and getting to work under Bill Condon’s leadership. We joke that coming back for Breaking Dawn is like going back to our senior year of high school after a summer break!”

New Chicago Sun Times Interview with Rob and Kristen

They say good things come to those who wait — and no one knows that better than a certain vampire hunk. After several cinematic years in limbo, Edward Cullen finally will have that moment when a young man gets to say to his blushing new bride: Welcome to my bloodline.
First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes a little fanged creature in the baby carriage in the biggest film of fall, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1,” opening Nov. 18.
“I’m curious to see how it will carry out,” star Robert Pattinson tells the Sun-Times. “This movie is so different from the other ones. The stakes are so much higher because now it’s time to turn the entire saga upside down.”
And then there is the matter of Bella’s baby bump. “The birth scene is frightening,” Pattinson admits. “It’s a slap in the face. It’s failure to Edward, who has to choose between losing Bella and transforming her. It’s the toughest scene I’ve ever had to film in my career because this choice tears out my heart.”
Not since the Kardashian wedding has there been such a rapid tying of the knot. Stewart admits, “I was racing down the aisle during the first few takes because I was eager to get the two of them married.” Pattinson says, “We saved shooting the actual wedding for last because it was so important. We needed to be immersed in it.”

Taylor Lautner and Nicholas Cage Are Latest Names on ‘Expendables 2′ Wish List

As mentioned in an earlier Expendables 2 piece on Donnie Yen’s potential casting, the sequel’s director Simon West has to hurry up on the casting front if he hopes to hit the already announced Aug. 17, 2012 release date. Well, a story up on Moviehole throws out a handful of additional names that could be joining Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham, though they might not excite action fans the way producers had hoped.
Unless, of course, you want to see Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, 54-year-old Christopher Lambert, current sitcom star Christian Slater or Nic Cage (!!) hanging from helicopters and battling to the death as members of the next Expendablessquad. A source tells the site that in addition to Yen, offers are going out to those four actors as the production prepares to shoot in Asia. They also confirm the rumored attempts to cast John Travolta and Chuck Norris, though no movement has been made with either actor yet.
The names aren’t as far-fetched as you might believe. Slater is co-starring with Stallone in Walter Hill’s Bullet to the Head. Lambert, star of Gunmen and the Highlander series, has a part alongside Cage in next year’s Ghost Rider sequel. And Lautner would help sell the sequel to a younger demographic, naturally. Or maybe there’s some truth to those rumors that the mercs are going after vampires this time, and they want a werewolf in their arsenal?

Taylor Lautner promotes ‘Abduction’ on The Kerri-Anne Show (Australia)

Taylor talks about emotional end of ‘Twilight Saga,’ bond with Rob and Kristen

Taylor Lautner talked with The West and had this to say about working with Rob and Kristen.
“It’s weird because whenever we finished the other movies it was sad but we knew we would be coming back. But wrapping up the last one was very emotional,” recalls Lautner, who made the role of the werewolf Jacob Black his own after producers expressed concerns about his suitability
“Robert, Kristen and I have been together constantly for the past four years, whether filming or promoting the movies, so we’ve become super close. It’s a special bond that will continue after the Twilight journey ends.”
He also talked about his extremely busy work schedule.
“For the past year I’ve been at home for a total of five weeks so my real home is wherever I’m filming. I will be moving out, I promise, but for the moment it’s breakfast with mum and dad,” laughs Lautner.

‘Twilight’ and ‘Abduction’ Make CBS Fall Movie Preview List

After a summer of sequels, pre-boots and reboots, the fall movie season is shaping up to be an interesting one. With only a couple of sequels on the horizon, the run-up to Oscar season promises some fresh stories, well chosen adaptations of popular books, big name stars, timely political thrillers and, of course, some holiday cheer the whole family can enjoy.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the more entertaining films to look for.
Of course, the sequel teenage girls (and guys) cannot wait to sink their teeth into opens nationwide on Nov. 18. Summit Entertainment’s latest “Twilight” saga installment “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″ brings back favorite vampires and werewolves Edward (Robert Pattinson), Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and Bella (Kristen Stewart), who continue down a difficult path in pursuit of true love. This time director Bill Condon takes us on an adventure where the Quileute and Volturi close in on expecting parents Bella and Edward, whose unborn child poses a threat to both the vampire coven and the wolf pack.
And if you can’t wait to get your fix, Taylor Lautner fans can look out for him in a tale of international intrigue and espionage in “Abduction.” The Hollywood hottie not only exercises his muscles in this Lionsgate release, but displays some strong acting chops and performs all his own stunts to boot. Abduction’ Miracle: Lionsgate to Release Early VOD on December 23

With major studios risking exhibitor revolt over earlier and earlier video-on-demand releases, it seems the smaller players have found a way to keep everyone happy: Release movies on VOD “semi-early,” taking care to honor the 90 day theatrical window that exhibitors desire.
Lionsgate is doing just that with “Abduction.” It will release the Taylor Lautner movie at a slightly premium VOD price for 10 days in late December before releasing it on DVD and Blu-ray.
By timing “Abduction’s” Dec. 23 VOD debut to the Christmas holidays and making the film available for just 10 days, the studio believes that it can exploit the number of teens out of school on holiday break.
It will also allow the company to make money off the PG-13 thriller, which opens in theaters on Sept. 23, without pushing it into a crowded Christmas disc market, where family titles and summer blockbusters tend to dominate disc sales. The studio believes that the short 10-day VOD window will not significantly cut into disc sales, given Lautner’s star appeal.
The plan comes with theater owner’s stamp of approval.
“On VOD experiments, we’ve consistently asked for two things: that theater owners be consulted and that any release to the home should respect the range of the existing release window,” John Fithian,  National Assn. of Theater Owners president and CEO, told TheWrap. “Lionsgate did both those things and did it right.”
Theater owners hope that Lionsgate’s efforts to keep the lines of communication open will inspire other studios.
“What a refreshing approach,” Gerry Lopez, AMC Theatres CEO and president, told TheWrap. “How they handled ‘Abduction’ sets the bar for others to follow. We’re happy to be included in the dialogue and look forward to the movie’s release.”
“Abduction” will become available on demand some 91 days after it premieres in theaters. And at $6.99, though higher than regular VOD, the cost to consumers is a lot cheaper than the $30 studios charge for the DirecTV effort.

‘Breaking Dawn’: What Do We Know

MSNBC Today Movies put together this list of what we know about the upcoming Breaking Dawn! Here is some of their article.
Wedding
The movie trailer is pretty cagey, but we definitely glean some details. The wedding invites are crisp and plain, but they don’t fall into the common Hollywood trick of forgetting the character’s middle names. It’s “Isabella Marie Swan” and “Edward Anthony Masen Cullen” who, together with their families, invite the guests to their August wedding.
Bella wears her long hair in a strikingly pretty updo or at least a twist, styled with help from Edward’s sisters, and crowns it with a diamond (what, like the Cullens would use rhinestones?) comb holding her veil. Not much of the dress can be seen, but it’s white or ivory and looks lovely and traditional. And that is one honking diamond ring — we’re talking Kim Kardashian size.
Bella’s dress is designed by Carolina Herrera, but once the movie’s out, it will be sold to mere humans by Alfred Angelo under a special Twilight Bridal label.
Stephenie Meyer says the old-fashioned dress should be simpler than the frillier Edwardian designs some may expect. “Elegant white satin, cut on the bias, with long sleeves,” the author revealed.
Facebook scam pretends to offer ‘Twilight’ tickets
Edward wears a white tie and tails.
Eleazar and Carmen, from the Denali clan of vamps, are front and center at the nuptials, just behind Carlisle and Esme.
The wedding is outdoors, featuring flowers everywhere and rose petals scattered on the aisle.
Happily ever after
The first movie goes through the wedding, honeymoon and birth, ending just before Bella’s life as a vampire really begins. The second film is more of an action movie as the family rushes to protect new member Renesmee, producer Godfrey told USA Today. The story also breaks from Bella’s point of view to follow Jacob through his own turmoil, just as the book did.

Kristen Stewart discusses her ‘Breaking Dawn’ Carolina Herrera wedding gown

Kristen Stewart reveals she loves her Bella Swan wedding gown that she wore in Breaking Dawn Part 1, which was designed by famed designer Carolina Herrera.
In what will be the third-most anticipated wedding of the year (sorry Bella, you come behind the Kates), Bella Swan will wear a gown designed by Carolina Herrera — and that’s pretty much all we know at this point. They are keeping the dress’ details locked up, and even the nosiest of fashion people haven’t gotten a glimpse of the sure-to-be-famous frock.
One thing we do know is that Kristen Stewart really, really loves the gown, and she’s no stranger to good design: she was featured alongside Jack and Laz of Proenza Schouler in Vogue as their muse. Although the crew kept the actress completely covered up between takes so that no photos would leak, she spilled a minimal amount of information about its design, revealing,”the dress was tight, it was so tight… I really liked it. It was very pretty.
