5 Scenes from the Book That Would Make ‘Breaking Dawn’ an R-Rated Movie

Zimbio takes a look at some of the scenes in the Breaking Dawnbook that, if translated truthfully, would make for an R-rated film.
1. Breaking More Than Just Dawn
In the Twilight films so far we’ve watched Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart do little more than play footsy while the sexual tension just builds and builds. After a total of more than six hours of nothing but playful hints of sexuality, the audience needs the honeymoon scene almost as much as Bella and Edward do. Of course if they did show it, it would be very controversial, and not just for Rob’s blindingly white naked torso.
In the book, Bella describes the aftermath of the couple’s first night together.
I stared at my naked body in the full-length mirror behind the door.
I’d definitely had worse. There was a faint shadow across one of my cheekbones, and my lips were a little swollen, but other than that, my face was fine. The rest of me was decorated with patches of blue and purple.”

Bella also woke up covered in down feathers because Edward “bit a pillow. Or two.” Of course the second time the two experience physical love there’s not so much bruising, but it would definitely take things to the next level to see Robert Pattinson do the damage described in Chapter Six. After realizing her night gown has been torn to tatters, Bella assesses the rest of the damage.
“Were there any other casualties?” I asked timidly.
“I’ll have to buy Esme a new bed frame,” he confessed, glancing over his shoulder. I followed his gaze and was shocked to see that large chunks of wood had apparently been gouged from the left side of the headboard.

Breaking Dawn’ number 1 on HitFix Movie Power Rankings

With the release of the brand new Breaking Dawn trailer on Sunday, the film has hopped up to the top of the list of Movie Power Rankings from HitFix.
“Twilight” fans have had to wait almost a year for their Bella, Edward and Jacob fix.  “Eclipse” has come and gone and the final installment, “Breaking Dawn,” won’t hit theaters until November.  On Sunday night, however, the MTV Tween Awards, er, MTV Movie Awards brought millions of fans their first taste of the final chapter, er, second to last chapter in Stephenie Meyer’s saga by debuting the teaser trailer for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Pt. 1.”*
*Actually, the trailer leaked all over the web on Sunday afternoon breaking MTV’s exclusive because of a little mix up.  Whoopsie.
The reaction from fans has been uniformly positive and Summit is likely breathing easy as the novel that was once termed “un-adaptable” may turn out to be one of the better movies in the franchise.  Who knew?

MTV Movie Awards: Top Five Moments You Didn’t See!

Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart Chest-Bump
We love it when the stars of our favorite films seem to be genuinely good friends both on and offscreen — especially when those real-life pals are two of our favorite “Twilight” actors, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. In between accepting and presenting awards, we watched Stewart and Lautner greet each other backstage with an actual chest bump, which they followed up with a friendly hug.
OMG, Celebs Are Totally BFF
Not all of the celebs in Hollywood are BFF à la Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, but because the rich and famous run in similar social circles, many are quite friendly with other. Often these celebrity friendships have sprung up unexpectedly. Case in point, all the palling around we saw backstage. First, Ryan Gosling and Tyrese hugging hello; Kristen Stewart and Lily Collins chatting about KStew’s dog; and pretty, leggy blondes Blake Lively and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley giggling like schoolgirls during a marathon catch-up session.

Dakota Fanning’s New Role? High School Graduate!

Congratulations to Dakota Fanning for graduating high school! Isn’t that incredible? It’s so easy to forget she’s really that young because of all the amazing work she’s done. Can you imagine Twilight‘s Jane graduating high school? North Hollywood’s Campbell Hall Episcopal High School, to be precise? Exactly. She looked so adorable wearing her blue cap and gown at the ceremony day before yesterday at Walt Disney Concert Hall in L.A, with the rest of her family, including sister Elle Fanning, cheered on. Let’s not forget that Dakota was crowned Homecoming Queen too, which goes to show that everyone thinks she’s pretty awesome as well (we’d have voted for her). Love her! Can’t wait for the Dakota Fanning: College Edition.

Does ‘Twilight’ domination help or hinder the MTV Movie Awards ratings?

The MTV Movie Awards may have seen a decline in the last couple of years, but is Twilight to blame? No! In fact, Twilight can be thanked for the fact that they don’t have even lower ratings.
The show hasn’t had any trouble attracting the Twilight phenomenon’s most ardent fans: teens. Among those viewers, Sunday’s Jason Sudeikis-hosted shindig posted its best ratings in seven years. And among everybody, the show was still a hit, finishing in sixth place in Nielsen’s latest cable rankings.
Eclipse, like Twilight and New Moon before it, was the big winner at Sunday’s show.
In fact, before the vampire series started dominating the popcorn-bucket game in 2009, the MTV Movie Awards had been on a six-year-long ratings losing streak. (The first time Pattinson and Stewart appeared on the show, in 2008, prior to the release of Twilight, the telecast bottomed out with a 21st-century-worst 3 million viewers.)
So, if anything, Twilight saved the MTV Movie Awards.
