Ashley Greene returns as spokesperson for DonateMyDress.org

TWILIGHT STAR ASHLEY GREENE RETURNS AS OFFICIAL CELEBRITY
SPOKESPERSON OF HEARST MAGAZINES’ DONATEMYDRESS.ORG
Join the “Twitterview” with Ashley Greene on Wednesday, March 23

New York, NY (March 22, 2011) ― Hearst Magazines Digital Media today announced that Twilight star Ashley Greene will return as the official celebrity spokesperson of DonateMyDress.org, the first national campaign designed to encourage girls around the country to donate their prom and special occasion dresses to girls in need.  Greene previously served as spokesperson in 2009 and 2010.  In celebration of her continuing role with the organization, Greene will conduct a live Twitterview with fans on March 23, 2011, from 4:30-4:45pm EST on @donatemydress.  Girls can tweet their questions to the star about prom–dressing for the big night, makeup and accessory tips, friend and date dilemmas, and Ashley Greene’s own prom experiences–as well as Greene’s current and film projects, and she will answer them in real time.  The full Twitterview will be posted on DonateMyDress.org the following week.
“In high school, I had to work several jobs to save enough to buy a prom dress,” said Greene.  “It was so worth it: I had a blast at prom!  Every girl should have the chance to have that experience!  So I was thrilled when DonateMyDress asked for my help.  The charity’s Web site helps you find more than 100 chapters all over the US where you can give pre-worn gowns to girls who can’t afford them.  I’ve donated dresses that I’ve worn on the red carpet—one of them was to a girl whose parents lost their jobs and her family was living in a friend’s garage.  It was such a humbling moment.  It made me realize how many people have been hit by the recession and how much we can help.”
For prom season 2011, Ashley Greene is donating a white Lela Rose dress to DonateMyDress.org that she wore on the red carpet at a recent charity event.   The dress will be given to a deserving girl this spring ensuring that her prom will be truly memorable and proving how easy it is to help other girls in need.
“We’re thrilled that Ashley will be joining us once again to help spread the word about DonateMyDress.org and the important services its volunteer-run chapters provide to deserving girls across the United States.  She is an influential yet relatable role model who is using her star status to send the message that it’s fashionable to care about others,” said Julie Hochheiser, senior web editor, Hearst Teen Network.  “We know that Ashley’s fans will be excited to ask her their prom questions during the March 23rd Twitterview, and that she will truly make one lucky girl’s prom dreams come true by donating her stunning Lela Rose dress.”
Launched in 2007, DonateMyDress.org is now more critical than ever.  According to a 2011 Hearst Teen Prom survey on prom expenses, 64% of girls responding said they are worried that they will not have enough money for their dream prom.  60% of respondents said that that the perfect prom dress is the one thing they would never compromise on in order to save money.
DonateMyDress.org is the first national campaign designed to encourage girls around the country to donate their prom and special occasion dresses to girls who cannot afford to finance the costly experience of going to their prom, Sweet 16, QuinceaƱera or formal on their own.  DonateMyDress.org is part of the Hearst Teen Network, which includes Cosmogirl.com, Seventeen.com, MisQuinceMag.com, MyPromStyle.com, eCRUSH.com and eSPIN.com.  With 1.4 million monthly unique visitors, the Hearst Teen Network is one of the top 10 ranked teen networks online, according to ComScore Media Metrix.
The site features a directory of more than 100 local dress drive organizations across the U.S. enabling girls to easily find out where in their local markets they can donate a dress or receive one.  In addition, DonateMyDress.org features information on upcoming local events, a photo gallery of real girls donating and receiving dresses, as well as links to content on prom and quinceaƱera planning, hair and makeup tips, and other worthy causes.  A number of young celebrities have been involved with DonateMyDress.org, including Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Nikki Blonsky and Brittany Snow, all of whom have donated their own dresses to the cause.

It’s That Time Of Year Again… MTV Movie Awards Time!

Eclipse rk eclipse kiss Its That Time Of Year Again... MTV Movie Awards Time! awards MTV announces voting and the twihards come out in force to make sure that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart get Best Kiss and as many awards for the latest Twi-Film. This year its Eclipse that is up for many awards!
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s did-they-didn’t-they MTV Movie Awards kiss last year may have ranked among our favorite MTV memories of Rob, but if you ask me, the “Twilight” twosome could do it better. (Exhibit A: Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ acrobatic acceptance speech, which still gets me hot and bothered.) Will the third time be the charm for Robsten? Help us find out by nominating them for a Best Kiss golden popcorn at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards!
Yep, it’s that time of year again! Voting begins today in 13 categories, including Best Movie, Best Fight, Best Badass Star and the brand-new Best Line From A Movie (“Release the Kraken.” “I’m 6’5″, 220 pounds and there are two of me.”)
Browse all the nomination categories and cast your vote at MovieAwards.MTV.com. Voting is open now until Tuesday, April 5. The victors will proceed to the final round of voting, which takes place May 3 through June 4. And, of course, the winners will be announced at the 20th annual Movie Awards, airing live on Sunday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET.
So here’s how things work:
The power of the Golden Popcorn is once again yours! Starting today, we’re asking you to cast your votes and select the nominees for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in 13 categories ranging from the familiar (Best Movie, Best Kiss) to the brand-new (Best Line from a Movie).
Can “Eclipse” reprise the success of “Twilight” (seven nods) and “New Moon” (five nods) before it? Will Biggest Badass star go to Robert Downey Jr.’s sardonic, super-suited hero in “Iron Man 2,” to Angelina Jolie for her acrobatic brawling in “Salt,” or someone else entirely? Which star’s unforgettable line — Liam Neeson’s plea to release the Kraken? Justin Timberlake’s insistence that only a billion dollars is truly cool? — will be the first to take home this award? For a third-straight year, it’s up to you!
Here’s how it’ll work: Starting Tuesday (March 22) and running through April 5, you can log onto MovieAwards.MTV.com to nominate your favorite movies, stars and crazy cinematic moments. Once the final nominees are announced, head back to the site to vote for the winners from May 3 through June 4. Voting for Best Movie, however, will remain open throughout the live ceremony on June 5 — meaning you’ll have a chance to affect the night’s biggest prize until the very last minute.
“MTV’s viewers are die-hard film buffs, and we love to see how they wield that dedication when voting for the MTV Movie Awards,” said Stephen Friedman, general manager of MTV. “This year’s show will once again reward movie buffs with previews of the year’s most anticipated movies and one-of-a-kind moments that become pop-culture history.”
The 20th Annual MTV Movie Awards will air live on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Peter Facinelli Talks To Celebuzz About ‘Loosies’

Breaking Dawn Loosies 600x450 280x210 Peter Facinelli Talks To Celebuzz About Loosies peter facinelliCelebuzz.com has a new interview with Breaking Dawn Vampire Peter Facinelli (aka Daddy C).  In the interview Peter talks about his new film Loosies, and of course, Breaking Dawn -
Tell us a little bit about your character in Loosies.
I play a pickpocket in New York who he lives with his mom [laughs] and his mom thinks he works on Wall Street. So, every day he walks out of the house in a suit and tie and he walks down to the subway and that’s his office and he just pickpockets the people all day. He’s a pickpocket because he’s in debt, his father left him with $500,000 in gambling debts, so he has to pay off the person that his father was indebted to which is Vincent Gallo‘s character so it kind of took his life into a whole different direction.
He lives this fast, loose kind of Steve McQueen kind of lifestyle and one day he gets tapped on the shoulder and this girl that he had a one night stand with tells him that she’s pregnant and his whole world just kind of collapses around him because he has to grow up and take responsibility for something, so it’s a fun story.
You mentioned that you are in the middle of shooting Breaking Dawn, is it a bittersweet feeling to know that the Twilight Saga is coming to a close?
Yeah. I mean, we’re so busy working that I don’t think that we’ve wrapped our heads around the fact that it’s ending soon. We still have another month to go so right now we’re just knee-deep in the work of it. I haven’t really given much thought to it being over. Even when it’s over, the films will be coming out over the next two years so I’ll still see everybody.

The last question comes from Leona J.: “Is there any other character in the Twilight Saga that you would like to have played?”
I’m pretty satisfied with Carlisle. When I read the book that one made the most sense for me. I always said that if I was 10 years younger that Edward would have been a fun role to play but for where I was I thought Carlisle was pretty cool. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. It’s good to play the dad.
